Right, as you all may know I've been working on a companion site like those that we used to have. The main function of the site will be to host an modern archive of completed and award winning stories and a forum where people can post their non-FM writing for others to read. I'm now at the stage where I need the information to populate the site, and with this I'm asking for your help. The award-winning stories I can collect on my own, but as for completed stories, what I'd like the author of each one to do is to list it in here, C&P the form below and fill in the information. Your story will be linked to in its current form on here, but there will be periodical cleaning up, and eventually it will be moved off site, likely into an MS Word file on a page-per-post basis and made available for download.

Now, when I say completed stories, I do not mean stories that simply you have no intention of posting in again, I mean stories that have been written to a proper conclusion. This include short stories. The only incomplete stories that will be hosted in the archive are those which have won awards.

So, to the form, as I said, just copy and paste, fill in the information and post it in this thread.

In terms of those that did get messed up, I may well convert them into MS Word files straight away, tidying up the characters as best I can.

The forum will be up before the rest of the site, the forum will likely go live at some point late next week, the rest of the site to follow in another one to two weeks, depending on how long it takes me to get a decent enough archive. I am very willing to put up an incomplete archive, however, I can then add to it as I get more done, I just think it's more important that people get to see that something is being done about it.

Just sorting out the various Rolls of Honour for the FMS site now, and it did win an award. Best Scottish Story in 2007.

I've now begun the long process of adding every award winner to the archive, done all the Story of the Year winners, so far.

Keep coming with listing your own stories to be added though. As long as they're completed then they'll go in (no need to list award winners, I have them all)

Cheers for the workload, Bob :D

I'll put the completed ones up in my next batch and leave the non-completed ones for now. I'll see how long it takes me to get everything up with the completed and award-winning stories, then move on to everything else. If something has a lot of posts and was clearly a worthwhile story despite not getting finished, it'll probably get in.

I've tested out the theory of the modern archive by converting a couple of my old short stories to PDFs, logging them in an index and uploading them to the site. Everything seems to have worked out, so that's the format I'm going to use for cleaning the forum up.

I have already Donners first epic. I remember that summer where I would stay up until 4am just reding that. Last summer :D

If you're looking for old school stuff from the archives then I'd recommend either PM7's Bradford Park Avenue epic (part 1) or Raprot's When the Belfast Celts Sing Again part 1.

If you're looking for something a bit more modern, I suggest starting what would be a very long journey through flipsix3's Leaving the Past Behind
