  1. Thank you for the votes. It was not expected. In fact, when I wrote the story, it was the precursor to a save I wanted to do with Gateshead. However, I got caught up in working out how someone started their managerial career and I never even got to the save I played. That is for another story. Maybe I will write it, but when you are working off the FM08, it's probably considered too obsolete with FM18 coming out soon. Thanks for keeping the forum going and I've been delighted by the videos throughout the early part of the ceremony! Brilliant! Incidentally, anyone play FM Touch? I'm thinking that might be the next version of the game I play. Congratulations to all the worthy winners. While the ceremony was not well attended, the quality of the writing done by the award-winning recipients is still top notch.
  2. Unlike the transfer of David DeGea from Manchester United to Real Madrid, I was able to send my transmission before the deadline without worrying about dodgy facsimile machines...now I hope they aren't intercepted by the conglomerate closely affiliated with the Ecuadorian faction... SENT AND CLAIMED
  3. Random Fandom done with auto pick to start....yes...!

  5. Congratulations to both nominees! Sharpening a Rusty Blade was the story that inspired me to start writing. American Calcio Padova was the story running opposite An American Pilgrimage when I finally put fingers to the keyboard. I don't read stories anymore as I teach English classes and spend most of my days reading for my work. Heck, I don't even have time to play anymore. My last story, A Northeastern Lad, was written before even playing a single match in a Gateshead save. Best wishes to nominees. Too bad Amaroq might not even be made aware if he successfully enters Hall of Fame. Cheers.
  6. 29 points left on my bench with Cech, Matic, and Vokes all residing there. Oops.

  8. Well, it was bound to happen...I had a good run of cups, just like Arsenal. Maybe, like me, Arsenal will fall short this year in winning 3 straight cups...
