SI Staff EdL Posted January 23 SI Staff Share Posted January 23 expected really, unless your system was really pushed for free memory at 16GB increasing memory of the same speed isn't really going to make a difference.
scythian12
Dunno, FM yoinks itself 11,5 GB, I thought it would take more if there was more scope for it. For instance, for the copious amount of extra graphics I use.
SI Staff EdL Posted January 24 SI Staff Share Posted January 24 No it doesn't really work like that, we don't scale memory usage based on whats available, it just uses what it needs

Ran it twice and was within a second each time That is weird. New M3 Max 36GB models has less memory speed (300GB/s) than 16" 48GB model (400GB/s). Maybe he had few other background tasks running during benchmark - time machine backup etc. But overall I am happy. I had M1 Max studio and it could do 1-week progress in about 5 mins and with my new M3 Max 16" I can do it less than 3 mins (almost half sometimes), I can reach progress more in my limited game time. kevez27
This thread is super helpful so thank you @Brother Ben To all of the Mac users who report high and very high for graphics levels:- Does that include night matches when sky is black? I have an M1 MacBook Pro 16” and I can run the game in very high settings and it runs super smooth if it’s a daytime match but as soon as the match is at night with black sky and floodlights on, I get lag and this lag remains even with settings turned down to high and even medium Anybody else get the same?

For Intel I only take the base and high of the P cores. This may change for FM25 etc moving forward
