  1. FM20 on Sonoma has the same issue. I cannot thank you enough, this has resolved my issue.
  2. This is in fact a very good idea, since IGE doesn't serve the purpose of the OP. To OP, As soon as a player got injured due to "risk factor", create a note with the calculated day as per your logic when he should get healed and back to training, then make it a reminder. As soon as the day comes, the reminder will notify you in game. You can use the healing feature using IGE.
  3. It depends on what you are waiting for. If it's data update, then definitely wait till the new Winter patch, which will have January transfer window included. If you are waiting due to some bug fixes which you may have faced on your own or read in the forums, then you can start the new save anyway. The bug fixes are typically old-save compatible, unless some major bug got discovered and fixed by SI. So, your game will be patched and include all the bug fixes anyway. Hope this helps to decide for your self.
  4. In my opinion, no version is perfect, and every game has pros and cons. People will answer with their heart, not mind. Everyone has a favorite version, whichever they had most fun with. Objectively, the game has become modern with each iteration. Not all features are liked by everyone. As a 43-year-old, I don't have much time for newer FM complexity. I love the simplicity of old FM. So for me, the best game will be either of FM15 and FM17. But I play FM24 currently with lots of streamlining. As soon as I take over a club, I hire a good assistant coach, a general manager, a chief scout, a technical director (as soon as allowed by the board). Then I delegate training, scouting, media handling, loaning out, contract/offer etc. I just keep the final yes/no of contract negotiations, transfer in/out, in my hand. I only concentrate on tactics, match, youth development - that's it.
  5. If you are in US, amazon.com has physical disc for FM2016, FM2018, FM2019 and FM2022 I believe. Sold by 3rd party sellers but shipped from Amazon, so you are covered if they are not working. All you will need the serial number to register with Steam. Also try eBay for any unopened copy from the past.
  6. Thank you for your work. Just started a new save with this pack.
  7. That is weird. New M3 Max 36GB models has less memory speed (300GB/s) than 16" 48GB model (400GB/s). Maybe he had few other background tasks running during benchmark - time machine backup etc. But overall I am happy. I had M1 Max studio and it could do 1-week progress in about 5 mins and with my new M3 Max 16" I can do it less than 3 mins (almost half sometimes), I can reach progress more in my limited game time.
  8. Sorry to dig out this topic after 2 months. But I am grateful I landed on this topic a couple of days ago. I finally moved to FM2024 after finishing my FM2023 save game with my satisfactory level. Since FM2024 already seen 2 patches, I believe it's in better shape than in the beginning, so I can start a long-term save now. But as another busy person like all of you, I also need to streamline my gameplay to make fast progress. Based on the discussions found here, I have made these changes in my full fat FM2024 settings: Loaded 8 major EU nations with all the leagues but small database. Total ~70k players, 2.5star speed rating. Started with St. Pauili in 2-Bundesliga. Removed unrelated and unwanted social feed subscriptions. Currently delegated staff hire, media handling to various staffs. Declined all staff meetings. "continue game timeout" set to 5s, checked "allow fewer processing stops" in settings. Detail level Minimum. I see my current gameplay is a lot faster. I want to know if there's any room for improvement in gameplay loop? Maybe in some idea in scouting/recruitment section? I want to keep Tactics, training and developments as-is. I also use "key highlights + no replay + fast animation" during match day, so I'm not that much interested in "instant Result" button.
  9. GoG has a small team of developers who made many old games available in modern platforms with some tweak. But publishers of the game has to work with GoG team. I hope someone at Sega sees this as an opportunity to make some extra money from these old games. At least FM2005-2008 would be good since they are not available in Steam anyway. A man can only wish!
  10. I am playing with St. Pauli in Bulli-2. I have setup my training based on spreadsheet suggestion. I will keep an eye of the progress of the players. Few of the players are in early-20s, I am excited to see them improve a lot.
  11. Kudos for making it freely available and in .ods format. Respect! I will definitely try this one.
  12. Just upgraded from my M1 Mac Studio to this same model (in the US though) last week. Thanks for your numbers, you saved my time. I haven't installed Steam/FM24 yet but since I have Apple Arcade, I'm playing FMT24. It is so fast!
  13. Last year I used Benchmark 3 file and continue it for my own save. Always retired the default manager, and start the journey with my own manager.
  14. Well said. I've heard about his data pack. I have never used any of his previous packs, but I also want to try something new this time. Since, FM24 is still bit wacky in terms is issues and gameplay, I will give his FM23 pack a go.
  15. Yes, I am using the same tactic still. I never used 3atBack tactic before seriously. This is the first time I have used it fully for 2 seasons. I have become fan of the tactic. Overall I tweak few things here and there only during matches, but main tactic is still same. My win% is currently about 55%, which is very good in my opinion as I am running a LLM save and it's difficult for me to get very good players fitting my team and plan. So I have lost few matches. hopefully in couple of more seasons, I will be able to get promotion to Serie B and will be able to attract better players.
  16. Unless you visit dodgy websites like porn, torrent etc. there's no way you can get infected with malware, trojan horse, virus etc. from regular popular websites. Keep it safe kid. Use privacy extensions with Firefox, Windows Defender and common sense, and all will be okay. If you want to watch porn have a secondary machine, don't use your primary one.
  17. First of all, I only play 12-15 years per save, then I start new. Every save, I target a country and a moderately good club in second div of that country. Then I load that nation with full detail, plus all the neighboring countries, Plus all of the top 5 leagues top 2 div. Then I add more players using advanced screen (current nationals, continental reputations, players from top clubs etc.). This typically allows me to load between 100-140k players. This way I can play my save for 10-15 years and try to bring that club to top div, then will national league/cup as well as UCL (if possible).
  18. I am still mainly playing FM23 as I got too attached with my last save with Monopoli in FM23. I am also playing FM24 occasionally but it is not my main save yet. I am just trying out few new things here and there. Since we got promised a new update soon, I have decided to wait.
  19. I am happy to see that my M1 Max is processing the week in 3.5 mins in Benchmark 3 (all leagues, 20 in full detail). I am happy with that performance. I don't want to spend another $2000 for 10-20% time reduction. Money isn't the issue here but I don't want to spend for small spec/performance bump and make Apple richer.
  20. You might have a point here. I am currently managing Monopoli in FM23 save with regional footballer + national A license reputation, I was able to win over them before end of the year. On the other hand, in FM24, I am trying my hands on Arsenal with continental A + national footballer reputation, I am getting roasted in my first season every way possible (team, media, etc.). I don't want to say there's no issue, but people might also need to keep this aspect in mind. Some people might be seeing this reputation effect in play.
  21. I didn't notice one thing you have mentioned @Brother Ben. If I understand correctly, these test files were created in FM23 and then loaded & converted inside FM24, then uploaded here? If yes, are you planning to run fresh FM24 created setup as well? Some people may not had FM23, and FM24 is going to be their first FM, it may give them insight as well. Perhaps Setup 1 and 3 only for fresh FM24.
  22. Thank you for doing this again. Type: Desktop Model: Mac Studio (1st Gen) CPU Model: M1 Max RAM: 32GB GPU: M1 Max 24 Core Apple Graphics Level in 3D: Recommended for System Benchmark 1 FM24: 00 min 40 Sec (It was 41 sec in FM23) Benchmark 2 FM24: 01 min 40 Sec (It was 1 min 41 sec in FM23) Benchmark 3 FM24: 03 min 32 Sec (It was 5 min 28 sec in FM23) Benchmark 4 FM24: 14 min 21 Sec (did not execute in FM23) Hopefully this helps prospective Mac users. It looks like I (and people like me) can definitely see more performance improvement for Setup 3 as it got huge 40% performance boost. For small setup, I guess it didn't get much performance bump. I typically settle for 80-120k players. I will definitely try 200k+ this year.
  23. This is the true word. Video game is a software and software tend to have bugs. You have to understand which are game breaking and which are not. I think FM needs to improve, but there are rants here and out in the Reddit that feels like you cannot play the game at all. Bunch of entitled losers? Maybe! Did SI drop the ball regarding J-League license? Definitely. But, if you want to enjoy a game with some flaws, you can still enjoy them. At least I am enjoying it.
