[FM24] Rate my Regen/Newgen Thread

Hello everybody.
I know that is way to soon for it but, as usual:

New FM, new thread.

Have you found a gem of a regen from an obscure country that you have never heard of, got him capped and feel proud?

Want to get your regen rated as you feel that he is the best regen ever?

Maybe you want some advice on your regen, how to play him, what should you train him on?

There is no specific format to follow, just post up a screenshot of your regen! If you need to, also along with your screenshot you could have a bit of background information about him, like where you got him, how much you paid or anything similiar.

And maybe with the new variations to player development can we discover the new "Jamie Vardy"?

If you don't know what a newgen is, then here is a short explanation:

A randomly generated player that the game throws out to compensate for retirements etc... This is so you don't end up with no players in the game after you have played for a long enough time for all real players to retire from the game. These can normally be identified by the 'Newgen face' which looks like a computer generated face, although these can be turned off, so don't dismiss someone's player due to the lack of face.

Please, only post newgens in here. Feel free to tell us about how good they are, how you found them, what you paid, their goalscoring records etc. Also, feel free to comment on other peoples newgens! Although, don't be the dick that goes 'OMG U EDITED HIM', because at the end of the day, it's just a game, people shouldn't post edited players, but if they do it's not a massive deal.

These are the two that I'm putting the most into so far. Wilson scored a rasper on his debut but I'm not sold on his key mentals (positioning, concentration, anticipation) and the 1 for strength irks me a bit, but lets see. Following @Rashidi's advice and training him as BWM(S) to get those attributes up, then I'll work on the technicals.

RIssel is a slow burner, scored a few in the lower leagues so I'm excited to see how he develops.

For the first time in a long time, I may have something special. Look at his value a few days after signing his first contract...

Edit: I was going to buy Evan Ferguson, I don't think I'll bother now, this will be way more fun.

Managing Liverpool FC in season 2091/92

Was just looking for a backup Winger but found this gem at CEC in Brazil. He has a PA of 200. CA of 135.

He can also play in multiple positions as you can see. Yes, he is 15, I couldn't wait the 3 years to get him before he agreed upon a different club. So used FM24 IGE to get him to my club. Naughty I know. But he looks awesome.

This Chinese goalkeeper was a big part of why I joined Porto in my save. When looking for a club to join I always look at their youth prospects... already had PSG sniffing around though!

Delighted with how young Scott is developing. Despite a low long shots attribute he has a penchant for banging them in from 25 yards which doesn't do any harm. I am finding though, that the big hammerthrowers of the Scottish Premiership are quite good at shoving him off the ball and battering him around, but in a team with a couple of destroyers alongside him he's doing just fine.

I love this boy's potential and personality, but his height is really a big flaw, any suggestions for his career? Should I retrain him (will cost some CA for new position) or just let him be a DC?

He's 15 years old, I'd be very surprised if his jumping didn't get to 15 or so at least. He will get taller than 180cm and that tends to bring a jump in jumping reach, pun intended.

I'm buzzing with this one, it's pretty much all there...

Ayrton Muscat

16 years old, cool name, home-grown, good personality, level-headed, consistent performer, wonderkid at 16... (I've got a model professional in the same position mentoring him too)

Could be the GOAT, what are you going to use him as?

Attacking Mid Centre, but also train him as an Inside Forward (L) so he can cover off all 3 options from behind the striker.

Finally got a bit of cash to go and buy some nice newgens, but I'll start off with Matthew Skinner who came through a youth intake. Really excited about him, left sided and well rounded mentals, just perhaps an inch or two on the short side. I think he'll be fine for the SPFL, but might struggle a bit in Europe when it comes to it.Skinner.thumb.png.91cb51eb45c5254d1944ee87b872870d.png

Leinhart was released by Dortmund so thought I had to take a punt on him. Again, quite well rounded mentally, just need to try and bring those technicals on a bit. He could be a monster as a defensive midfielder, or equally could slot him back in at centre back.leinhart.thumb.png.2c5cd382dcc1d82865aa88d2c7a911ac.png

Nunez cost a few million from Getafe after they were relegated to La Liga 2. I couldn't see past that finishing and first touch and hoped he would become a good advanced forward. He's shown fits and starts, scoring a hat-trick twice, but hasn't become a regular fixture just yet. He's out on loan at Augsburg to try and bring him on a bit.Screenshot2024-02-15at10_03_59.thumb.png.5f90d61c03a06fec0c1dad703542df59.png

Oh Eric. £5.5million from Marseille. Record signing. Really, really excited by him and couldn't look past his technique and flair. Will go on to silly wages when he plays twenty matches so a bit bittersweet right enough. My only issue is that finishing attribute, in my save I'm finding that newgen strikers either have 16/17/18 (like Nunez) for finishing or 10 or less. I'm very tempted to batter him into the first team straight away and let him sink or swim in an effort to take his attributes to the next level, but I think he's coming on just fine. If I played with attacking midfielders he'd be in straight away. I'm training him as a Pressing Forward (support) to try and boost those mentals, with an additional focus on shooting to get his finishing improved. Lets see how he is in a season's time.Eric.thumb.png.d46fa449a151f300f690bfd923849cfb.png

Welcome aboard Alfred Nierga - had him at Real Madrid for one season in 2028 when I paid his release fee of £62m to Girona, now in 2032 I've splashed £220m on the 23-year-old who is by far the best goalkeeper in the world, and probably will be for some time :D

And finally, I'm close to bringing in Ousmane Ouédraogo who I found for Tottenham when he was 17, he's now 24 and Tottenham have done a decent job of letting him stagnate so he's handed in a transfer request, so I'm going to get him back to fulfilling his potential:

Alfie Hudson, came through the youth intake, 16 years old, looks legit - dropped him in the first team, mentoring off a Model Professional, but he's scored the winner in the Champions League Semi Final and also scored off the bench in the Champions League final against Liverpool.

5 goals in 2 starts (9 appearances total) from inside forward.

27 caps, including 2 at the world cup, at 19. Unless they have another star that I missed he's also the Chinese GOAT footballer already.

£6m release clause at RKC

Please, Thanks, Bye.

This lad is coming straight into my first team squad, First he'll be my Inverted fullback. Then in about 3 seasons time when he's starting to hopefully hit his potential he'll be shifted over to become the cornerstone of my defence. Few things to work on, but he'll become a legend.

Two players who came through my youth ranks at Leuven in the same intake, and who I brought with me to Leverkusen a few years later. Now the staples of my team.
