I feel like the loan system is broken.. Reason for feeling this is when I look at a player that is 'Loan' listed and feel he would strengthen my team. No soon as I look to bring him in on loan the Ai immediately is demanding £150k playing fee, £150k loan fee (Figures will vary) and also want all wages paid for both playing and non playing. As well as wanting some kind of bonus dependant on either being promoted/not relegated/winning some kind of cup. Then on the other hand if I list a player for loan the AI will generally bid £0 loan fee for both playing/non playing and also want to pay none of the player in questions wages. Try and negotiate this and they immediately withdraw from negotiations. I've even tried to do loans on final day of the window as demands sometimes go away, but for some reason on the current save none of the teams are budging on their demands towards me, yet when another Ai controlled team comes in for that player he usually goes for way way less than what the Ai is asking of me. All this despite me offering guaranteed first team football. Anyone have any insight into why it's sooooooo bad. Also as a minor footnote. Quite a few times over various saves Clubs have offered first team football for one of my players only to then not even play him thus stagnating his progress. This really does need fixing.

£6m release clause at RKC Please, Thanks, Bye. This lad is coming straight into my first team squad, First he'll be my Inverted fullback. Then in about 3 seasons time when he's starting to hopefully hit his potential he'll be shifted over to become the cornerstone of my defence. Few things to work on, but he'll become a legend.

Calvert Lewin, Beto, Sesko, Pio Esposito (With some training from young) should be good enough. My go to striker this year is Pio Esposito, with sufficient training he can become a beast. Edit: I forgot Scamacca - easily one of the next best available, bit pricey though at £50-80m

Id like to think that any and all coaches assigned per category attribute to the overall quality of training as well as helping with the workload.

This was the 4-3-3 I was attempting to get working. With a mid block, Rather than High press like we seem to see on every tactic. Still very much a work in progress.

I know Wilson doesn't have AML on his positions but he's definitely a good option to stick out on the left as a standard winger throwing bombs onto the top of Kieffer's head, Not sure how he'd play though. On the opposite side side You've got James to do the same with Johnson as a PF. I believe you also have the likes of Matondo and Brooks for backup till some crazy good regens come through. Alternatively a 4-2-3-1 with 2 CM, IF or IW on both Sides, AP behind big Kieffer with more direct passing and more crossing. Us Welsh don't have an embarrassment of riches, but they have guts and determination by the bucketload (Normally). I've never done an all Welsh squad from the get go, Only ever tried it after a good few seasons into the game as the youth that is coming through right now (in game) isn't the greatest. I feel inspired now to do an all Welsh club!

Ravel Morrison springs to mind. Ability in abundance. But mentality was shocking. Jordan Ibe another. Burst onto the scene, Failed at Liverpool as he wasn't putting enough into his development, went to Bournemouth, then lower and lower down the league pyramid.

Looks like Rayan Cherki has taken a hit.. Doesn't look as class on my current save. Either that or he's not got much game time.

They say no M.E changes. Yet a 4-2-3-1 which was serving me really well, no longer is as good as it was prior to the latest update. Start of last season on my other save I had 6 clean sheets in 8 games, 21 overall in 38 games. New save and struggling to not concede I'll give it at least till January but at this rate I'll be lucky to get 10 clean sheets at seasons end.

You can also ask them to pay a percentage of the wages too!

First season. With an updated database to include the January transfers as of 2/1/24 Never in my years of FM have I enjoyed such a ding dong of a battle. If my side were better then this would be immense to play with. We'll see how it is in a season or two when I've upgraded players. But I have enjoyed the past 10 games immensely even if I don't enjoy conceding that many

On training screen there are 2 separate categories - Quickness and Strength. Yet no real way to distinguish between either category when choosing Fitness coaches. Can S.I implement something to be able to do the above - would be as simple as adding strength/quickness attributes onto coaches. It gets a little tedious when you get messages telling you that 2 or 3 of your fitness coaches aren't suited to coaching that particular category despite being a highly rated fitness coach.

I have a save where I think I caught him at the right end of his PA scale.. However Liverpool let me buy him relatively cheap. Had a good 7 or 8 years from him and he has been immense.

I am going to assume my club rep is max or close to maxed being No.1 Ranked team in the world. Barca are 4th I think. Villa are 20th. Echeverri rep is higher than the similar player at Barca, Been at my club longer than the Barca player has at his club. Same with Scalvini and Doyle - Scalvini rep is higher, but has been with me a year longer. Diomande however has been with me less time than Doyle has at Villa with higher PA yet valued lower. All 3 of my players are 'Important'. Same with Doyle, Only the Barca regen is Star player. Neves on the other hand is down as Star player, 5 year contract, 350k+ p.w. Valued at only £80m but on that test I did selling him to PSG his value shot to the moon. I do however have 4 top prospects waiting patiently, playing a couple of low risk games here and there. All with very good potential. I've already lost one massive prospect to PSG who had activated a £96m clause I hadn't realised was inserted in his contract - however his value was only about £80-92m anyway, but upon signing for PSG went to £120+. Now his value is close to £260-300m after scouting him and that's after 3 years with them. None of my players has even got valued that much, Not even Neves after I broke club transfer record to sign him 4 seasons back. Do you think that things like Club finances, 'Squad Value' - as in overall squad Value would effect values of players, e.g Having 20 players capable of starting for any side and a couple of prospects, compared to having say 5 or 6 star players and the rest just squad filler material. So values of said players are distributed around said players.

You say transfer values are not at any rate locked in for the AI.. Any chance of explaining this below then as it completely baffles me as to how my players can get these values. Because something just doesn't add up for me. I don't wish to sell either player that I have used as examples. I have no need to sell. Yet the AI is interested and keeps bidding on them as their values are reasonably low. Claudio Echeverri is valued at £147-£176m. He is current Premier league top scorer. Plays regularly for Argentina. He's only 25 years old and close to his max potential. Former World player of the year 2 years running. And his value at that point was still under £100m Then there is a wonderkid at Barcelona. 23 years old. Nowhere near Echeverri in terms of total output. Around the same PA 176. Only awards he has received is European Golden boy 3 years ago, And being named in Spanish first division best 11. His value is between £185-264m. Giorgio Scalvini is Valued at £80-87m has been super consistent for me. Regular starter for Italy with 94 caps and still only 27 years old. Now compare him with Calum Doyle who plays for Aston Villa, Same age, PA nowhere near that of Scalvini or his partner in Crime Diomande. Not won any awards other than club ones. Just 22 caps for England yet his value is close to £110m So to these Values - What is it that influences them? Home rep, World rep, current rep, Age, Contract length, wages? Considering Both of my players have 5 year contracts on 350k + whilst the other 2 have 2 years and 3 years on their contracts, Both on considerably less wages compared to my 2 and all my reps are higher too. For their values to be higher than my own players values doesn't make sense. I have Joao Neves playing for me. PSG want him but age 29 for me his value is less than £80m. Despite being one of my top earners, One of my star players and a 4 year contract he signed less than 3 months ago. Out of curiosity I saved the game when they bid £88m for him, accepted and sold him. His value then went to £190-228m upon signing for PSG on a contract that was similar to what he had playing for me. Couple of small differences between my club and PSG - I have best world rep, PSG are not far below. I have a positive bank balance of £412m, I have no idea what PSG have other than them being Rich. I am going to guess they don't have the abundance of readies available like I have. But they are going to have at least £100-200m in transfer funds available. However their bids are always a take it or leave it offer. Same with other clubs bidding for my players.

I wasn't being mean. I was being sarcastic. And not towards the OP either. That's not to say what he was suggesting wasn't right either. We all know that Traits influence players. The right traits of course.
