Maybe that's just what happens when you win the league each season and get the Champions League money. Børkeeiet (NOR) is doing very well. He's been a regular starter for Brondby IF since the 2nd season of the game and although he hasn't been capped by NOR yet is in the squad. I think he's possibly not good enough to move to one of the big leagues, (which is why he's still here), but that level of player can be as important as the star who moves away after a couple of seasons. I kept getting message about rumors and not to believe them, so I didn't. Next thing I know we have been taken over! Yes. A very stressful time. I could barely sleep some nights thinking about it. The good news is... 4.5million of debt gone. Well, I say gone I absolutely mean, a bank loan has taken it all away. They still won't let me take the next set of badges! Onto the football. We had put ourselves into a position really where the only thing to do was to make Promotion offical. We hit an absolutely horrible period. We couldn't buy a win. Everything that could go against us did. We had a lead of 15 points at one point, it started shrinking. Luckily the strong finish was enough. It looks better than it should. At one point we were only 3 points clear of SonderjyskE. Our Wage Budget went from 15k to 40k. Maybe just maybe I could stay here and make a fist of it next season in the Top Division! Players are happy, board is happy, fans are happy maybe I should be happy! 3 in Team of the Year. One of which will leave when his contract runs out. Bad times. I have a big Summer ahead. Expected to end in the bottom half but we've spent most of the season in and around the top. There's been a few sh*tty defeats along the way but overall I have to be happy with how it's going! Looks like we have a good chance at qualifying for the promotion stage and with that a shot at going up to the Danish Superliga! It's also going well in the Danish Cup, into the 4th round where we face Elfsborg The big question is will the manager still be here? Midget is already getting itchy feet in Denmark, he knows at some point he will have to return to manage Brondby and he wants to explore the world with the likes of Canada, South Africa, Portugal and Switzerland on his radar! Another badge on the horizon, woooooo. Another record that came through late. Mads had a brilliant season. I also decided to pledge my Future to Esbjerg which I didn't see happening when I started today! I had to bring in some new faces it was 100% needed. We pick up Ismail on a free. Probably our best player now! Fisker comes in as the first person I have actually bought this save. He cost me 31k. He will replace a defender who we lost at end of contract. Junior joins us on loan until the Winter Break. We needed strikers and I didn't just get one.... I got two. Happy with them both but only time will tell. Bottom 2 go down so right now we are expected to survive. Personally its that close I think we could finish 7th...which doesn't sound much to aim for but amazingly it would give us a shot at a European place next season. That being said the obvious goal is survival. I think I will be here until the Brondby job comes up. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I need my shot! So my strongest XI looks like this... I have a better WBR coming in the Winter Break but generally speaking I'm happy with the squad and feel ready for the new season. Not a long pre-season but some good performances. The phone rang again, the electronic tones no longer vibrating my very skull. I thumbed the answer button and raised the phone to my ear.. "Ey, pendejo. Make sure you attend tomorrow's meet. Otherwise, your family will suffer.." *click* I walked back into the kitchen and looked at the address on the pad. I tried saying the address out loud and nearly bit my own tongue. I'll just show the driver this tomorrow, I thought. Tidying up in the aftermath of the losing battle with my stomach contents and the whiskey bottle, I thought back to the call. I mean, I didn't think my troubles would have caught up that quickly. I didn't tell anyone where I was going either. Just fled. They must have gone through my family, I thought, scrubbing away at the floor. When I was finished, I crawled into bed, the strange house having a very comfortable four-poster bed. I awoke to sunlight. Outside, the landscape looked pretty as a picture, only much, much colder. As I found out when I opened the window and immediately hit high C on the vocal register when the cold touched my naked body. My testicles retreated so quick into my body that they hit my tonsils and came back down. I slammed the window shut, shivering and went to have a very hot bath. Once bathed and dressed, I felt somewhat normal, or as normal as anyone could that had a different face to the one they were used to for 40 years. I googled 'local taxis' and was connected to a lovely sounding young woman who told me the secret to eternal life. Or asked me where I wanted to go. I don't know, I don't speak Danish. I asked if she spoke English and she replied in the positive, so I relayed the locale that I needed to get to and it was booked. The usual F1 driver-cum-taxi operator picked me up and hurtled towards the city. Whilst approaching the speed of sound, the driver attempted to engage me in English conversation, however I was too petrified to hold up my end of the bargain. The only thing I could remember was him saying that Denmark was quite boring soil-wise. Or I made it up due to stress, I don't know. Screaming to a halt outside the address, I was unceremoniously deposited on the pavement as the door I was pinned against, due to G-forces, opened. I looked up from the heap I was in. The address was a Mexican restaurant. I was so homesick, I burst out sobbing. Hoping to compose myself before the meeting, I untangled myself and headed into the bar next door. On ordering a drink in English, I was actually surprised to be given what I wanted and the alcohol was helping my heart rate come down, when a cough from the other end of the bar brought me out of my reverie. I looked over. It looked like the same drunk I saw a day or two ago. I squinted into the gloom and a reedy voice carried to me saying "I once saw a young chimney sweep shoot 100 feet up in the air when his master threw a tin of wood polish in the fire. The ****ing state of him when he hit the ground. A holiday compared to what he's got planned for you.." (28a) Østergaard 6'5" looks great in terms of PA, but I don't like this intake at all. I was really hoping for more. (28a) Østergaard 6'5" is really different to the pacy strikers that I have seen so many of in this save, (to good effect), and I wonder if that might just set him apart. We will obviously need to develop his physicals, but I think there might just be a big beast of a player in there waiting to be developed.
