Jimbokav1971
1st European Final. Season 10. Brondby IF. It might only be the Euro Conference Cup Final, but it's our 1st European Final. We scored twice at the end of the 1st half and then Eriksen scored his 2nd and 3rd goals in the dying moments after we had been reduced to 10 men through injury. I should point out that I'm playing with a small database in this save, (I often do), and while there are disadvantages in that your players are more in demand in a small database, the flip side of that is that the standard of the lesser teams in other European countries is diminished as a result. The idea behind a save like this is more the domestic challenge, (my saves often are), but it's times like this that I regret not playing with a bigger database. I think it cheapens things a little. Anyway, we won! I so wish the Royal League was still a thing. Records and awards. Edited November 18, 2020 by Jimbokav1971

If I lose this theres a good chance the Interim Manager becomes the Full Time Manager and then surely I will have to wait another season at the very least. It would be a great addition to the old CV. We just played them away in the league and won 2-1, scoring in the 94th minute to win it. I would take that here 100%! The winner will play in the Euro Cup II next season. Could be a win-win for me if indeed I can get that Brondby job in the Summer. We had quite an easy run to the Final I'm not going to lie. You can only beat what's put in front of you though. Brondby had to beat 2 decent teams. This should be a good, tight contest. I purposely rotated players but we have a few injuries so its not our strongest XI going into the Final. We can do this. What a start and its Brondby who take the lead. We were caught napping from a cross and the header found the net. Horrible, horrible start. 10 minutes gone and it should be 2-0 really. Simple ball over the top but the striker hits it over. Let off really. Its been a great start by Brondby. 14 minutes gone and Esbjerg are hanging on for dear life. A block from the defender and a fine save keeps this 1-0. It looks like its a matter of time here. 24 minutes gone and the first attempts hit the target for Esbjerg. Their top goalscorer finds a ball has bounced straight to him but a weak shot finds the keeper. 39 minutes gone and a free kick is floated in and headed just over the bar. Brondby still the better team and more likely right now to do anything. Just on the stroke of half time and the biggest chance of the game for Esbjerg goes begging. A clearance falls to the person you'd want it to and he fluffs his lines. Once again his shot is weakly straight at the keeper. That would have changed the game, a goal just before half. No complaints at the half and its a big team talk coming up for good old Smoochison. 50 minutes and first chance of the half goes to the trailing side and once again a weak shot goes straight to the keeper. The Brondby keeper hasn't had to do anything really so far today. The first sub has been made as Esbjerg make movements upfront. 59 minutes gone and we should be level. A beautiful free kick is floated in and finds a body free at the back post but his volley his the side netting. 64 minutes gone and the tide has turned a little now and its Esbjerg with all the attack. Brondby are throwing bodies in the way and so far its working. Keeper still hasn't been asked to make a huge save yet. 80 minutes gone. Corner comes in and is headed straight over the bar. Another big chance to equalise. They haven't done enough and time is very quickly running out. 88 minutes and that should have been game. He steals the ball in midfield with one only man to beat. Defender holds off allowing the shot and its saved. I really can't see Brondby losing this game from here. 89 minutes and there it is. There is the save. Esbjerg break straight from the corner and its one on one. Their top scorer 27 goals all season misses the biggest chance of the season. You feel that was it. That was the chance and its come and gone. 4 minutes added on. 4 minutes to hold on. And that indeed was the chance as nothing happened in injury time. An absolute kick in the teeth. Even game but Brondby took their big chance and we didn't. I think that's that for our chances of the Brondby job. If I were them I've give it the Interim. last chance saloon! send the board an email telling them their current manager is a pervert.... he's inter rimming

That's a really good question. I have no idea. Let me have a look at the rules. Yes it does. As it happens I'm going to finish 4th again in the league. We haven't played the last game but we can't catch any of those in front of us and those behind us can't catch us. I'm not sure how this impacts on the league. Do we get another place? When we won the league we completely prioritised league games and fielded a rotated squad in all but 1 European game. I think I will do the same thing again next season in an effort to finish higher in the league. I don't really care what happens in Europe next season but it would be good to challenge for some more domestic silverware. The other thing of course is that if we can finish 3rd in our Group then we drop down to the Euro Conference again and that might be a reasonable strategy. [Edit] We still haven't won the Sydbank Pokalen, (lost 1 Final), so it would be good to have a right good go at that too. andychar
Smoochison Boochison Season Round Up 2023-24 Not going to lie I lost absolutely all interest in this season after that Cup Final loss. I just stuck all games on Only Commentary and honestly couldn't have given a crap. We played Brondby 5 times this season and lost once. ONCE!!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! So it appears I'm still a little salty after the Final loss. So 3rd place will have to play 7th place in order to get the European Place in what is the most ridiculous rule in all of Football. Absolutely shocking. You should not be rewarded for getting 10 easy games to finish the season. Lets put it into perspective. In a one off game where anything could happen AGF who finished 24 points behind 3rd could steal a European Place. Ridiculous. Notable things also happened. Our In-take was a joke and give us 2 Keepers. Something we do not need. I got a new badge and straight away... Started on the next one. I'm praying absolutely hoping and praying I can get the Brondby job now. But until then here are the numbers... Already offered Adjei-Broni an extention. Glad Horsens didnt go down. Budget has gone up which is good. Gives us a chance of a repeat performance next season. Here... We... Go....

I think its to give the teams who aren't going to get relegated something to aim for in the Relegation Group. Crazy if you ask me. If you are going to do it. 7th needs to play the lowest team in the Top 6 and then a battle between them and either 3rd or 4th depending. So next season it's 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th who qualified for Europe.

TheLutterworthFox
So the end of another season. My 3rd at Jammerbugt and yes I am still here! Overall the season has been great, I fully expected another push for promotion and when I got to the mid-season break we looked well on our way. We sat in 2nd and all looked good, then came December 31st! Why the hell do contracts expire mid-season? Due to financial issues (yes the board still want to build a new ground!) I couldn't afford to offer any of the expiree's new deals. Because of this I lost 5 of my first team squad and with no money to replace them I had to bring in rubbish free loans and try my best to limit the damage. At the end of the regular season it was still going well. We sat 3rd on a point behind 2nd as we entered the Championship phase. With the squad really thin and games coming thick and fast we decided to fall apart. We stopped scoring, we started leaking goals, the two teams above were so much better we couldn't keep up and for the second season running we ended 3rd. Gutting really but the damage was done at the end of the year when we lost so many players. Regular Season Championship Group Now I'm at the end of the season and my contract is up, there is no sign of a new deal on the table. The finances are in an absolute state and when all my loan players leave we have a squad of about 10 players! I think it's time for Midget to move on, leave Denmark with a view to returning when the Brondby job is available and he had experiences the delights of other countries around the world. These 3 seasons have been brilliant, I've loved every minute but it's had it's frustrations!! LOTS OF FRUSTRATION!!!!! karanhsingh
This is the league table as we break for the 2022 WC and I have moved from AC Horsens in 1st, to Brondby in 9th. Probably had a real shot of winning the league had I stayed at Horsens, not least because Kobenhavn seem to be having a bit of a shocker so far. Anyway, the aim now with Brondby will be to try and sneak into Europe this season. I am now wondering whether the better strategy may be to finish in the relegation group anyway

TheLutterworthFox
Midget Nielsen has a new job! Midget packed his bags after his meeting with the Jammerbugt chairman, he had resigned, his 3 year tenure was over just a month short of contract expiring. As he exited the training ground a lone reporter asked him "where next boss?". His reply "I want to get as far away from here as possible". What we didn't know was Midget meant exactly that! He wanted to go FAR FAR AWAY! Canada, China and South Africa was where he set his sights on. As far away from Denmark as he could go. Jobs interviews came and went and Midget was overlooked every time, then 3 months down the line an offer came up. "Surely the whole state can't be free?" Midget said "Well no Midget, it's just the name" replied his agent. But Midget couldn't work it out, he had to go there and see if everything was actually free. He jumped on the next flight to South Africa. It was a long flight but Midget was excited. "I can't wait to have it all, for nothing!" Midget set down and arrived at the new training ground. "So where's my free stuff?" He asked. "IT'S JUST NAME OF THE TEAM MIDGET FFS!" Said his agent! "Surely this bloke can't be that thick?!" Midget had already agreed the deal, there was no turning back now. Midget Nielsen is the new manager of Free State Stars in the South African Championship!

karanhsingh
State of the Union A quick report on where things stand as I begin what will (hopefully) be a long spell at Brøndby IF. Finally sorted out the squad view: The best players seem to be the two wingers, Hedlund and Svensson. Will need to look for a new keeper in Jan, as our #1 is leaving for Hoffenheim. I like Borkeeiet in the middle as well, and the defense looks quite strong. I think we are mostly lacking a consistent goal-scorer. I already made an enquiry for Mads Olsen from my old club, and they asked for 21.5 million I guess that kid was a high PA. The good thing is the Home-Grown element, there's a full 11 players in the squad who have come through the youth academy. Which is pretty awesome! And definitely something I will be hoping to build on. The dynamics aren't looking very good. We also need to get some strong personalities. Finances seem fine. Although most of the available balance will be going into the facility improvements promised to me. But that will pay off in the long run. Wage bill is currently over budget, so that needs sorting. Finally, a couple of young players I plan to blood and keep an eye on. My Kvistgaarden doesn't look quite as good as @Jimbokav1971's but he is of course a lot younger. Burner is a Swedish winger who came through the academy, attributes wise he actually looks well suited to playing RB as well, I am thinking of perhaps re-training him. And finally I found this 15 year old in the U19 squad, who is out on loan for some reason. He is definitely getting re-called, and we need to figure out how to get the best out of his development. smp20
B.93 July-October 2024 Update Early exit in Europe and a poor first part of the season. 2nd season (in top division) syndrome
Ronaldo Beckham
I got some good news as my best player last season Gregory Heeb has agreed to come back on loan for another season. He was 2nd best in the Euro Leagues Top Marksman award. He lost to Lukaku.
Peter G
Currently have a save going with Southend but very tempted to join, debating on where to start though. Time to delve into Wikipedia....
andychar
Smoochison Boochison Brondby 2024-25 Pre-Season All my pre-season activity has gone to waste as I've joined Brondby 1 week before the start of the new season. Not enough time to bring anybody in as I assess things. The first thing I've noticed about the squad is... The size of it. I was on bare minimum before. Now I have a few options. I will be running the same tactic I have been all the way through. Financially... Much better than before. The red is if all offers go through. There is one unhappy player. I need to keep the squad happy so told him I will be selling him. Generally happy at the moment. Squad should be good enough to get Top 6 which is the aim. It might take a season for me to get the team as I want it so this season is all about keeping the board happy and make sure I don't get fired before I've even had a chance here. The expectations are there. We have Moldovan opposition to start the Euro Cup. It will all come down to the luck of the draw as to how far we can go in that. So without further ado its time to start the season. See you in the Winter Break.

Ronaldo Beckham
I got a difficult 2nd Qualifying round match against Neman Grodno.
smp20
I thought Saga would be moving to Swedish club but alas they went for the big name, Henrik Larsson
Ronaldo Beckham
I managed to beat Neman Grodno 7-1 over the 2 legs. I now have the biggest game in AB's history with a 3rd Qualifying round game over 2 legs Vs Red Star Belgrade.
Ronaldo Beckham
The Brondby manager left to manage an Austrian club. I have applied for it but I aint confident I will get it.

Ronaldo Beckham
So Red Star won the first leg 3-1, I then won the 2nd leg 3-1 so it went to extra time and literally in the last minute of extra time we managed to score and and I am through to the next Qualifying round. I now have a very tough game vs FC Basel to look forward to.

ToMexico!!
I was just offered an interview at AGF in the top tier but I got rejected for another manager. They were languishing down in 4th in the relegation phase, so 10th overall. I've been keeping my eye on the available jobs but nothing within my reach has come up just yet, even in Norway or Sweden.
