@Sith Lord

I would not worry too much about roles. The TM element should make them see more of ball but they are still on wing. See how it goes and if not working try a standard winger role.#

I doubt Lpool have WTMs

My journey with Maidstone:

I have to blame myself, not designing and playing from 1 match with 20.4.0 TEA FOR ONE VOL4 4411 P103 ALL CUPS.

I have designed my team to play with Black Echo 442.

If someone plays at Vanarama, they know that finding players is PITA.

Three defeats with 20.4.0 TEA FOR ONE.

Rest defeats with Black Echo.

What about goals? We have it.

Now.

The more serious things about the game.

I am taking responsibility of training.

I am using 2 Match from FM Korea and Chance Creation & Score More Goals from Passion4FM.

https://www.passion4fm.com/football-manager-training-schedules-megapack/

I am also using training sche. for youths from Passion4FM.

Not so much for comment about those, I have started to use it 8 months (in game) now.

Chance Creation & Score More Goals sche. really helps. I haven't checked Youths.

SHOTS

Demand More when we are winning by 1 goal.

Show Some Passion when we are back at score.

Praise when winning 2 or more goals.

--

FA Trophy and if we make League 2 promotion, who knows.

MRr Hough recommended shouts

Use shouts Show Some Passion and Demand More. Also concentrate if leading by a few goals

so by that spreadsheet. your Kashmir433 with 110 points would in theory be the best. and it also serves subpar and underdog. correcT?

@Domobaby

Try switching to another tactic for a game or two. Oxford or Beowulf

Ok thank you and then change back?

i thought switching between tactics confused the players a bit?

cheers for quick response. I read through the mentality guide but haven’t put “the big flow chart” into use yet.

I am using !!!! FM20.4.0451KnapPreachinBluesVOL4P108EC and it is awesome! In the first season I won the league by my small team (pre-season progonosis 14th place). The only thing I'm thinking about for better results is training. What kind of training do you recommend for this tactic? It's a tiki-tactical style and I wonder if Tiki Taka training schedule from passion4fm is good for PreachinBlues tactic. The training load is very low and maybe Training Schedule by FM Korea will be better? Do you have any tips? Do you also recommend individual training for each player focusing on position and role in tactics?

Now in 3rd League, still going strong. In my opinion the best 442.

Tactic was Tequila41311MEZ

Did not allow a goal in the league for 19 straight games, finished 100% with 4 goals allowed, beat ManCity in UCL final to win it all.

:eek::eek::eek:

It's been a strong career so far, using a medley of Knap's tactics. Basically I look at player roles and try to select a tactic that plays well into my most skilled players. Aside from mentality I don't tweak much, but rather search for another tactic that has the same effect. With the comings and goings of the transfer market it's not always best to stick with the last successful one. So thanks for this massive library Mr. Knap. The spreadsheet is a blessing. If I could ask for more, and indeed I will, it would be great to have brief descriptions to go with them.

So here is a recap of tactics calibrated for ME2040 (sorry if I missed any):

  • Beowulf
  • Argus
  • T-4-1
  • PreachinBlues
  • BlackEcho
  • Sympathy4Devil
  • TequilaSunrise
  • ParisienneWalkways
  • Mississippi
  • Venom&Faith
  • Sicilian
  • Jailbreak
  • Lookaway
  • Bad Company
  • Kashmir
  • RolloverBeethoven
  • Pilgrimage
  • Kashmir
  • Route66

Obviously Knap is the best person to answer this but maybe some of you might help as well.

So that is a list of 19 different tactic headings, if you will, and there are quite a few variants within each tactic so I don't know how to tackle this exactly, even though I'm pretty sure I tested just about each one. It is true that many tactics seem pretty close to one another. I find that main differences are in tempo, offensive width and passing directness as far as TI is concerned. But there are always subtle differences that make the tactics play out pretty different and I'm not sure I can make them all out.

So what do you all think? What makes your favourite Knap tactic special?

Over the seasons I have used Beo442, Tea4222, Preachin 451, Tequila 41311, BlackEcho442 for long periods of time. The 100% season was Tequila all the way.

Is that the tequila mez 41311?
