deerokus
He was good in the CL last season for CSKA, I think? How have so many people not heard of him? Big clubs were already looking at him when he was playing for VVV and he cost CSKA €8m. I suspect he'll end up at Chelsea in the future.

Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted June 24, 2010 Administrators Share Posted June 24, 2010 Great day, Slovakia and Japan through. I suspect he'll end up at Chelsea in the future. We had scouts watch him at VVV before he went to Russia.

NMInter
He was playing for VVV Venlo in the Eredivisie before. Scored a fair amount of goals and I think he was even the top scorer before he left for CSKA in January. Great player.

Zaitsev
would take some big clubs for Honda to move on. CSKA aren't short of coin and are about to make a fortune out of Krasić.

TwistedTwiddler
In March i raised the issue of the low PA -8 of Keisuke Honda in the official 10.3 Patch thread. People said i was wrong and -8 was fine for Honda. Honda has been excellent all season long for CSKA, VVV-Venlo and for Japan, surely he should be around 165 -
craigcwwe
Really good performance tonight from Japan mthey totally deserved their win and place in the next round. They are a solid team. Denmark were poor, they couldn`t take their chances and were lucky to score the rebound from the penalty.
sean_oc16
At least Denmark had a go when they were 2-0 down. Olsen made some positive changes about the hour mark and they had a period where they pressured Japan and could have scored.

Orzelek
FFS Denmark /0\ I'm surprised, but not schocked. People had already started to talk about "we can beat Paraguy in the round of 16" etc. And when such things are told, it usually means that they gonna mess up everything. Kudos to Japan- they played very well As for Denmark, a lot needs to be changed. Many players are getting to old (Jørgensen and Grønkjær has already announced that they won't play more games for Denmark) and the younger generation needs to take over And the only positive thing for Denmark from this game- Jon Dahl finally got his 52nd goal (after not scoring for 2½ years!), which is equaling the alltime record for Denmark
Micado
Surprised at the lack of Honda knowledge here. This, his former club, VVV sold him for aprox. 10M€, which is more then the total budget of the VVV football club. In Holland we were a bit surprised that only CSKA Moscow made a official bid for him, as he played really well for both VVV and Japan.

NMInter
Here's an old Honda FK playing for the U22 against HK. At this stage he was still at Nagoya Grampus Eight.. Similar position and strike to last night with a little less curve.
