Greasy Chip Butty
presents ... Ladies and Gentlemen ... With the recession hitting the UK hard, the debt ridden fortunes of clubs in the Barclays Premier League and nPower Championship took a grave turn for the worse when the banks decided to call in the monies they were owed. Every one of the 20 Premier League clubs were forced in liquidation as well as 8 nPower Championship clubs leaving English football in a complete mess ahead of the scheduled 2010-2011 season. The very real prospect of a football season being cancelled was looking likely until a man named Chip Butty was appointed in charge of the FA. Hard work and dedication means that 28 new teams have been established, the redundant players of the liquidated clubs have been given a chance to earn new deals at the new clubs and the new season is ready to begin. A new TV deal with SPORTS.tv means that the financial future of these new clubs is secure and they have even managed to take advantage of financial issues across Europe to bring some of the world's greatest footballers over to the Premier League and Championship for the new season. So sit back and enjoy the 2010-2011 season because at SPORTS.tv, we know that ... FOOTBALL IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH!

MattieCoopz
1-0 solid enough start against a lower division team. No luck in the transfer market yet, let's hope Di Matteo makes some defensive additions.

Sheriff 1993
Hmmm some alright signings to bolster the squad but only drawing 1-1 to Barnet... - when I saw I feel Rushden Phoenix should play Rushden and Diamonds (or at least have an affiliation with them )

Marky Mark!
Wow, not only have Essendon FC not yet made a move in the transfer market despite still having a $44m transfer budget, but they must take the cake for worst pre-season result, 0-3 loss to Barnsley? Seriously?? Maybe I should have splashed out a bit more on a manager? That said, I am still fairly happy with the squad, so confident we can be competitive in the Premier League even if we don't pick anyone up in the first transfer window. Interesting to see some pretty high profile injuries already coming through, at least I've managed to avoid that!

Interesting to see some pretty high profile injuries already coming through, at least I've managed to avoid that! Can't report them all but Barnsley have picked up some big names in the free agent market. Four or five decent players. Their squad has strength in depth which yours doesn't. At the moment, the T2B teams have good sides for the first halves of the friendly matches and then kids for the rest! Greasy Chip Butty
DAMN! Ignore the first pre-season transfers and friendly results.
