What do you name your games?

I have had that many games on 08 that I am finally running out of ideas..

There has been "untitled game" , "game" , my name , "night bird flying" (was listening to hendrix at the time ).

But yeah.. what do you guys name your games?

I usually name my game after the name of team I am playing with e.g. Dortmund.

Tho I've named my newest save Saints Youth, as I'm going for an all under 25 squad, also if I decided to do a career game, I call it Career

Thats what I do as well. For this current game I'm playing I called it unemployed because thats how I started.

Mine's called ... "AndWill" ... it's a network game, involving myself, Andy and my mate, Will.

Since about CM2 I've named my games Spurs and then roman numerals for however many saves I've played.

Currently my save game is Spurs XLII.

Although I also have named them just the team name, or if I'm starting unemployed I name them whatever I'm running. So "9 countries unemp database 5". So I know how big they are and which database I'll need to transfer to get the save working after a reformat.

I have a few different names for my many many games. Usually it's the team, e.g. 'Redditch', 'Liverpool', 'Blyth'. When doing a "Challenges, Sign-Ups, Experiments Forum"-related game I usually name it after the name of the challenge or sign-up, e.g. 'dafuge' or 'Apprentice'. I've also named a game 'Career' and one 'game'. The many times I have failed to write a Football Manager Story I've put either the club or the character and then (FMS), e.g. 'Leonard Gulbis (FMS)', 'Leeds (FMS)', 'Lawrence Mitchell (FMS)' or even 'Scandinavia (FMS)'. I then name the word document with the story in similarly, but with the version the story was written on such as 'Leeds (FM08)' or 'Lawrence Mitchell (FM08)'. I use a 3-file rolling autosave so I like to keep each save game in its own folder of the same name. The examples are all real .

I think you'll find this will be the most common.

The longest game I've had on FM was named "slap the penguin"

I either name it after the club i've started at, or it's called "unemployed" because....

So either something like 'Arsenal' or 'Unemployed'. If its a save that I'm keeping so I can come back to it I will tag the year onto the end.

For example, I recently got a job offer as Middlesbrough boss to manage a struggling Arsenal. I wanted to carry on with Middlesbrough so I made a backup save and called it 'Arsenal Job Offer 2012'.

I always create my own managers (rather than use my own name, details etc) so I usually just name the save game after the manager name

I name most of my games the name of the club,e.g. "Man Utd", just like most people have said.

i name them as the team name i started with or a person i know and sometimes a lot of crap nobody really understands

just the team name really - how many autosaves do you guys use? i used to have three but recently changed to one so it would look neater

After taking Oxford to the Prem in a 'quick' 24 years on FM08 I finally became bored and started again...as Oxford.

I called it "Oxford II - this time it's personal". Made me chuckle at the time, doesn't now though I don't guess...I'll get me coat

team names usually or if im playing against mates then their names.

i usually name my games by the team I am playing.

I keep each new game in a folder named after the team and then name each save after the date it was created.... If I move club I nest a new folder in the original... and the next club would be in there and so on...

i usually fuse the names of some of the countries i load. Like Englortugal, Crotaly, Pormany, Brargentina etc....

as in every game i start i create a completely fictional characther

- Bailey Rawlings - U.S.A

My current save is 'Carlisle United'.....topping League One after 33 games, come on boys!!!

Mine's called "career" as it is a career game where I work for different teams. I've gone round Europe (and spent 28 unhappy days in the MLS with NY Red Bulls) and am now at my beloved Gillingham. Bless.

I name mine either the challenge e.g. Dfuge challenge , or the team name e.g. Newcastle United , then the season e.g. season 1

My current Peterborough save is called Mr Peter Borough.

I do the same thing. I went from Marseille to Arsenal, and I WILL go back some day.
