We finally picked up a win after going 2-0 down against Middelfart. An excellent result. It's very tight at the top. We need to rekindle our September form to push for the top spot. Although, we're well ahead of expectations and should just be happy holding a place in the 3rd tier. A falling out and a release of stalwart Jonas Troest means that the only remaining player from the starting days is backup keeper Yousuf Butt. During the Winter Break we got some good news. Looks good! Golden Generation does get thrown around a lot though. These kept popping up. Experience tells me that the chairman is right and not to believe anything. Resent the debt-ridden jibe! We signed a new contract. I'm happy here at the moment. Still pushing for promotion but worst case we shouldn't be relegated which is a relief. Boy do FA 2000 have our number. Two losses against them, both 2-0 and both deserved. Luckily there was a good win sandwiched in between. 4 point gap. They do have a game in hand but we have the points. I know which I'd prefer. I have a feeling that the away game against Nykobing FC is going to go a long way to decide who goes up. Just go the honerable thing and slip up! I would like to claim that I am a a God-like FM player, but the truth of the matter is that I signed 3 good players at the end of Aug/beginning of Sept and we did ok until the Winter break and then my DoF signed Atonis & Taranis in Jan and I just pressed continue until the last league game of the season where I selected the team myself and we lost. 2. Division. We romped it in the end. Sydbank Pokalen. They are in the league above and it was a close game but they took their chances. Transfers. Squad by Appearances. Star player. What they effectively done is removed the 2 leagues at 3rd tier level and made it 4 single league tiers. It looks neater that way and I'm a fan. Went with mainly youth as they only wanted amateur contracts Jeppe Pedersen - On loan from AaB is by far the best player to come in Results wise it's going very very well! I've just plugged in a basic 41221 Control Possession tactic and it's worked a treat. My best player so far is Winger Andreas Bruhn. 4 goals and 2 assists in 7 games. Junkhead Posted November 11, 2020 Share Posted November 11, 2020 Well I made it through the first week before a complete file corruption on my HDD wrote the rest of my day off. No indication what caused it, but the whole lot was irretrievable. The physical drive itself seems ok, and I have now reinstalled. Luckily all I have on that drive are Windows, FM and FM Graphics, the majority of which are backed up. Sadly, I am slow player anyway (proper LLM rules), so this will set me back even more. Great to see the fourth tier is playable however, as I imagine I will end up there before I end up at Brondby. In other news the DoF has just signed this bloke and I have immediately set him to training a long flat throw PPM. So far I have found Long Throws in FM21 to be absolutely useless, but I need to try again with the PPM. I tried to get another coaching badge sorted but the board said they couldn't afford it. It's fair to say that we have started Season 2 in a similar manner to which we finished season 1. Something I would like to keep an eye on now is how Brondby IF are doing. From then on we've been brilliant, even coming from 3-0 down in the Cup Tie vs Helsinger. With Horsens in the next round though we're probably going to struggle. Little frustrating to enter the 4 month long winter break with a defeat against one of the worst sides in the league, we basically just got long-balled. We are just about top at the moment, although Middelfart as you can see have been racking up the points as well. The last game of the season is at home against them, I already have a feeling it might just come down to that. Tactically it's been a bog-standard 4-4-2, and it's been all about the strikers to be honest. Squad stats ranked by appearance, as you can see 25 goals have come from the two main strikers. We need others to pitch in. In other news, the Board keep on rejecting any requests for me even for youth recruitment or junior coaching, I thought since we are doing well I may get through now but no such luck. Are others managing improvements? I haven't even bothered asking for training or youth facilities.
