Cheers! I always like to see Jamaica do well, after I managed them in past fm's and had tonnes of fun.

Great start, it has to be said. At what level do you think you'll hit that glass ceiling?

Also, what skin is that you're using?

Cheers! Not sure, once we hit a decent level, we should be able to pinch top Welsh players off of big clubs, so I can't see why we won't go far.

I began off using this...

After a while though, a few wee niggly things bugged me, so I switched to a slightly modded version of the default skin.

Halfway through now, and in a truly marvellous place.

Billericay dropped points again, so we have a chance to go 6 clear. Put in a cracking cup run too, Leicester will demolish us, but we should make some tidy cash. What we've done already has kept us just on the line balance wise. At one point we were 40k in the black, so I asked for another badge and a few upgrades which went through.

These two lads joined during the season, too.

Is there such a thing like a martyr hipster?

... Pep perhaps?

He's like the exact opposite of a martyr, not until he rocks up at West Didsbury & Chorlton or Ryton & Crawcrook Albion.

Youth Intake Day!

A fresh group of recruits join the battle.

Wilson's the pick of the bunch, instantly becoming our best centre half, despite not actually being very good at defending.... Ingram will be picked up too, as he looks a talent, after that, just whoever has a decent personality.

Personally I hope Billericay screw up promotion and Tamplin goes broke sending them back to the Bostick Premier where they belong...

We live in hope...

That's bonkers money to be spending at this level.

Any background story on why Billericay isn't the most popular team in this thread, for those of us not familiar with the English lower leagues?

Their owner, to put it bluntly is a t**t, players on stupid wages for the level, basically the antithesis of what non league football should be about, this probably explains it better than I have https://thekingstonroadend.wordpress.com/2017/08/14/billericay-town-a/

Cheers! Far more helpful than I could have been.

Another season kicks off, in fine fashion too, if we keep the pace we can make it 3 in 3.

Scott Wootton's had a massive fall from grace!

Low expectations, lovely stuff.

Fair bit of business, though not as much as past years, one really big deal.

Couple of important loans.

Levitt is the big deal though, released from Man Utd, has the potential to play at a much higher level, and indeed is already considered of a League 2 quality.

Squad's a tad overly bulky now.

Jack Wilson's coming along ridiculously well.

Lot of Championship sides interested, so he might actually have good PA, though none were bidding more than 5.5k..... less than half his value. "There's the door lads, or would ye prefer the window?"

3 for 3? If you don't go 4 for 4 I'll be disappointed...

Depends on the quality of castoffs available once we turn pro, might slow down a touch if I can start building a long term system and ditch then 3 striker setup.

That was a fun read. I completely understand then. :D

Quality first 2 seasons... as expected. ;)

Halfway through now, and having a far easier time than last season. Also another good cup run, but this time through easy draws than quality football.

Griffiths is developing fairly well, and has played incredibly with 72 goals in 84 games.

Has interest in Griffiths dropped? Noticed earlier that there were some clubs after him. Is he willing to sign a longer contract when able, or will you be forced to sell him?

Never been any bids for him, and he's after a new deal, I'm holding off for now as we should turn pro end of season and he'd have to get a new deal then anyway.

There were lots of clubs after Wilson, but he turned 17 in December so his pre-arranged deal kicked in and put other clubs off for now,

Thats a ridiculous scoring record for a 17 year-old, even if it is in the 5th tier of English football.

Aye, it's surprising no club, even a League One one, would think.... Hmm, that kid could be useful, lets have a bid...

Youth Intake Day!

The latest crop of warriors to join the army, and the HOYD's quite happy with them.

Rees is listed the highest, despite the HOYD preferring Crutch-Jones, I like Harvey the best though.

The keeper lacks positioning, something we can't yet train, the CB lacks strength, but that can be worked on.

Harvey looks pretty solid. Would get knocked over by a gust of wind with that 1 Balance, mind.

Aye, far from ideal, all his physicals are bad, but for where we're at, he'll do grand. Far worse players got regular starts for us.

I've managed to squeeze two upgrades to Junior Coaching and Youth Recruitment in this season, sadly the 2nd was after the intake, but at Excellent and Established, respectively, we could start seeing some fine intakes in future. Might even squeeze another in before the next intake.

They signed Pennant and Konchesky? That's impressive

Isn't there a limit for foreign players in League 2/1 ? Does that apply to welsh players? I remember some years ago I had many Irish players in my squad and I on the verge of not being able to register all of them.

As far as I know, there isn't and I should be fine, you need to have so many trained by a club in England(7 or 8, IIRC), but most of mine do, and all from our intakes will count.
