Apologies for the double post but my inconvenient time difference means I'm heading off to work, I do intend to follow up on the negotiations I'm currently involved in but I also understand if a better option presents itself and I miss out in my absence.

Aston Villa chairman Berg Taur has come out to today in support of his manager Chris Hughton. "Chris will be our manager into the next few season. He represents a great investment in a talented managerial prospect. Sometimes you have to take a risk and Chris may be a gamble to some, but for us he'll be double sixes." A puzzled Hughton was asked why Aston Villa decided to make this statement and he responded with equal parts confusion and befuddlement. "I didn't think my job was in danger, and it's good to know it isn't."
