Neji
Just managed to finish 4th in the PL with Middlesbrough, great news couldn't wait to play CL football. That is until I realise that 10th placed Liverpool managed to win the damn thing!
The Chosen One
But you can still play in CL qualifiers... it is same case as in 05 except Pool finished 5th instead of the 10th

Neji
No, they get my place in the CL for being holders, so I'm stuck playing EUFA cup football again
rougess
unlucky mate, never happened to me. though i have noticed that if liverpool start to drop in the league, they still do quite well in the cups. in my recent game they finished 17th in one season then the next they were back to 4th. one of the weirdest teams in the prem imo
Mike7077
Liverpool do seem to become atrociously bad in the league.
The Chosen One
Liverpool do seem to become atrociously bad in the league. Is that any surprise? This year is their year...oh no.. wait
jamesb123
Odd, most people say that Liverpool fall away after a couple of seasons, yet that never happens to me. It always seems to be Everton or Man Utd who do badly, go through many managers and end up on the verge of relegation. Could it be do with favoured clubs? The rivals of that team do badly? Neji
Well, they have been a top four team since the start of the game, I'm now in 2011 (just finished the 10/11 season). The top four remained the top four until this season where Liverpool and Arsenal both fell to 10th and 11th respectively.
AcidBurn
This has happened to me once before and it is really really annoying. Liverpool on my game finished 4th 1st season then 6th then 8th. At the moment they are top after 10 games.

Mike7077
Yeah, it's astonishing to think that there's a whole generation of Liverpool fans in their teens with no memory of what it is to win the league title. Shocking.
glamdring
Liverpool annoy me on so many levels, but they are by no means alone in that!
shefki2008
Man Utd always get relegated in my game after 3 seasons. Liverpool and Arsenal are normally the dominant 2 with Spurs a distant 3rd. Chelski never seem to do much either.
profii
Man utd normally do awful... think its cos nobody can replace sir alex properly! Or solskjaer is rubbish! lol! I was going to say the same - I have noticed that when SAF goes Man U start to do pants (which is brill! )
TomDixon77
They changed the rules after that. Well, more they actually set a rule. They used to rely on the respective FA's to make the choice for them (Spain, shockingly, went with Real Madrid when they finished outside of the top 4)

mascherano20
In one of my saves, Liverpool went into administration and were losing players like Torres to Chelsea for nothing. I tried to save them but got fed up with teams offering ridiculous amounts for my best players. Then they got relegated after I quit.

Quavis
Liverpool and Manchester United always do horrible when managed by AI clubs. This is due to the horrendous financial situation at the clubs. Even player managed if your not careful with your spending (or don't sell off all your overpriced youth), and then don't win everything it can get nasty in the financial department. The AI doesn't do that great of a job in the transfer market, so if they don't win it all (and they so rarely do), the clubs are quickly in bad shape. Good players with contracts expiring who have high wage costs are never resigned and get released on frees at the end of their contracts. This means they get no money for their best players, and have no money to sign new ones. Team quality slides quickly and its really no surprise they end up at the bottom of the table/relegated. They do tend to do better in Continental competitions if you don't have the other leagues loaded, because then everything is reputation based and both teams have very high reputations. tottenham2k7
liverpool annoy me too, in my games man utd and arsenal usually do crap and liverpool and spurs( even if im not managing them ) battle for top spot.
Neji
Arsenal always end up doing well on mine. They usually have a couple of bad seasons when Wenger goes, then sack the new manager. Get in a big name who, in turn, makes them one of the best teams in the game again.
