  1. Cheers. I seem to remember I got bored of a Fiorentina save quite quickly. I might try a smaller club with a decent budget and sell them all. Vitesse, keep Wilfried and sell the rest. If I can sell them. Else, I might try Fiorentina again.
  2. Taking the off topic thread decidedly off topic... I wonder if anyone can think back to FM12 and can recommend a team. I did post this in the proper thread, but no response as yet and it seems more people look in here. Nation: Anywhere in Europe. Division: Top League, but not necessarily a top team. European Competition: Don't mind. Media Prediction: Don't mind. Board Expectation(s): Don't mind. Transfer Budget: For an initial budget I don't mind Wage Budget: Again, as an initial budget I don't mind. Finances: Good. Other: I want a career save, but I want to be able to sell on most of my initial squad for a good total sum. For instance, one of my best saves was with West Brom as I could sell on most of my squad for hefty fees and bring in a raft of new players immediately building my own team; hence why I am not too bothered about the initial budgets. I know it's an odd request, but with some teams you simply can't sell players for love nor money regardless of how good they actually are, whereas with West Brom there were multiple takers for pretty much every player.
  3. Yes this is one hell of a bump, but I'm still on FM12, having not bought 13 and not liking the feel of 14. I don't know if people will even be able to remember FM12 Nation: Anywhere in Europe. 4. Trying out FMC, to see if that is more enjoyable, so far it is. Though I would have liked to have feeder clubs, but that's just being picky. This is more Football Manager to me though, I just hope the ME looks and feels like it used to; if it's still like Bambi on ice then it might ruin it for me. Crikey. My reserves have just been thrashed 11-4 by Corby. Poor guys.
  5. Well I didn't get FM13 so my opinions are going from FM12 and this is only based on an hour or so of play, but I'm not sure I like it. Very quickly, it feels as if the layout is too cluttered, every page is crammed with buttons, drop down boxes, too much information, too many coloured graphs and charts. I do like how some things are now more easily accessible, but it feels as if everything comes at you at once which can feel quite overwhelming, made worse if you're returning to the game and so are only used to a more simple layout. Especially in a match, where the overview page has about 9 different bits of information; can one get back to the old-style overview page? Framkly it reminds me of the old FIFA Manager games, which were all bit gimmicky, flashy I guess it's something to get used to though, along with things that have moved/evolved, like the player positions on the tactics page. It's probably been said before, but I don't like how the actual games are represented graphically. Even with the 2D dots, the players skim around the pitch as if on an air hockey table. Everything is too fluid without looking natural.
  6. 2D dots. Partly nostalgia, partly because I just don't like the 3D.
  7. It depends how good they get on the game. I'd say they could all feasibly be good Championship players, but right now they are very rough. If I had to put money on one, I'd say Wallace was the best and has the most potential, provided he can recover from his injury. They are all tipped to be good players though, so they haven't just been plucked from nowhere. There may be a certain amount of over-rating, but probably no more than anywhere else on the game. Carrying on a pretty decent track record of youngsters, often nabbed from Liverpool or Everton. Not quite Crewe's level, but a very useful asset. And it is a great name I just hope they're still any good on this year's game. One I'll probably actually get... it'd just be the way that they go back to being relegation candidates. Might even get their own thread this year...
  8. The one year I don't get FM, is the one year Tranmere become good, and people actually start playing as them. Typical.
  9. http://img34.imageshack.us/i/whatmh.jpg Thought I'd post this. I used to be the Villa manager, so I'm claiming that as my victory.
  10. The only reason he isn't getting as much press is that he hasn't come through Southampton's system. I mentioned him a few weeks ago on this thread, and I think you're the only one to name him as well.
  11. Dale Jennings should be given a bit of a boost. And if he isn't then I'll have to do it myself.
  12. I have had a few Tranmere saves but I play them all the same. Get United as a parent club, sign a load of freebies and loans, sell Welsh and Thomas-Moore for decent fees, play offs/just outside first season and then usually promotion in the 2nd/3rd before getting bored. I've noticed it's getting easier to actually win with Tranmere though, which is good.
  13. As Liverpool- pretty much the whole squad But probably Konchesky. As Tranmere- depends on what free transfers are available. Pretty much the whole squad is as bad as each other.
  14. If anyone has Tranmere in the Premier League (whatever year it is) can you upload the save game? I never have the patience to go through many years. I get them to the Championship and get bored.
  15. Tranmere Rovers. It's actually possible to be good with them now...
