bennorton
8.0.2 the play feels a lot more realistic to me, ie more flowing play, ball bobbles, defelctions etc also, i think corners are much better now too! no more repeatedly pathetic near post efforts! how comes some people prefer 8.0.1? ddidiodion
8.0.2 with 8.0.1 db. I wouldn't mind 8.0.2 so much if Man Utd hadn't been victim of a broad spectrum retardedness virus.
route1
I'm too involved in my leeds game started in 8.01 now. I understand you can download the new patch and t'll fix things etc etc but I don't want player stats changes and things like that to **** up the feel of the game I've got going. Also Jan transfers don't bother me as Iintend on getting a game going for more than 5 seasons when I start and after this point it doesn't really matter where anyone started the game at. Nathozz
8.0.1, too many goals on 8.0.2.
shaunkevd
8.0.2, only because I had the ultimate pain-in-the-arse of a bug on 8.0.1. Agree about the goals though, and form can never be maintained for some reason. I beat Sunderland 5-1 away one week, next week I only manage a last-gasp 1-0 against Derby. Weird no? Minez01
8.0.1, I enjoy the database more, and to be honest, I didn't really find the match engine bad, after a few tactical tweaks to get things like corners working properly.
smithers08
8.01 - from what i have heard and read , 8.02 seems to be pretty poor e.g. too many goals being scored , resulting in he game being unreaistic . whereas 8.01 was far more realistic , in terms of score lines , even though shots to goals ratio was an issue , at least scorelines were realistic
Kazza
8.02 is good - the rest of the moaning peeps are just that, these are the ones that wanted the beta patch etc etc. Never satisfied.

bluehefner
8.0.1 for me, i did 2 and a half seasons with man utd on 8.0.1 and no problems so why change what i know for a fact works for something i would have to get used to all over again

B. Stinson
8.0.1 Based on the simple fact that it's impossible to get passed unemployment in 8.0.2. If a full reinstall doesn't fix it, then I'm gonna give up on running in circles with this 2008 P.O.S.
newcastles
right now i would say 8.0.1. I know i have to evolve my tactics; and god have i been trying...but i am just getting decimated left and right. Nothing i try seems to work. I even resorted to "cheating" to try out different tactics. I know i have been an underpowered team...but...i dont know..feel as if i am beating my head against a wall sometimes. WerderBremenYank
8.02 is the best FM experience i have ever had, been playing since champ man 0304 Realistic, fun, engrossing.

Queen of the Stevenage
I like both to be honest. I loved 8.01 as it solved a HELL of a lot of problems I was having with the original. But then I'm getting into 8.02 and really liking this. So I don't mind!

DarthInsinuate
Is the difference supposed to be really obvious? I can't tell the difference :/ I'd vote 802 just for the data updates and 7 subs in the Premiership.
the_gaffa
8.0.1 - I'm enjoying a long running game and there isn't really any major issues that bother me. I wouldn't mind the seven subs in the EPL addition, but the drop in stats and corner issues of 8.0.2 have put me off updating.

Were the moaners (me included) on vacation back then? I have been pretty pleased with the versions over the past years. My beef with the game is exclusive to this years version, so I find that remark pretty unfair.
