nyte` Posted December 19, 2013 Share Posted December 19, 2013 my English players only Man Utd game followup, Welp, after winning 5 titles (all except the FA Cup) last season, it was time (2016/17) for a drastic overhaul and let an ageing Vidic (free to Napoli), Carrick (free to Spurs), Evra (free) , Fletcher (1.1m to Huddersfield), Lindegaard (free to Blackpool), Nani (7m to Napoli) and Valencia (33m to Spurs) leave. This should be RvP's last year as well. to replace Evra I bought a 31 year old Leighton Baines from Everton who were relegated for 2.7m. I couldn't find any English centrebacks good enough to replace Vidic. in fact, searching for English centre backs showed that the only decent ones apart from my Smalling and Jones were Caulker, Shawcross and Cahill. there's a huge drop in ability after them, all non regen ones were Championship level at best. With Caulker and Shawcross out of my reach, I settled for Cahill for 1m from Chelsea. the English youths I bought in previous seasons are coming back on loan and hopefully slotting right into the first team, well they have to since I got rid of all the old hands. I also got Callum McManaman for 5.25m since Wigan were still in the Championship and Kyle Naughton for 7m from Spurs for defensive cover. I brought Ravel Morrison back to Man Utd after his team got relegated for under 1m, loaned him out straight away, hopefully he improves. My scouts kept recommending him in the first season but he hasn't progressed at all since 2013. didn't get off to the best start with a 2-0 loss to Chelsea in the Community Shield (i used the wrong formation against them IMO), and drew Newcastle away in my first PL game but bounced back with a 5-1 win over Ajax in the UEFA Super Cup. currently sitting at the top of the PL table after 5 games. here's hoping to another season where i can just click "ask assistant to pick" every game and winning. oh, and the England team has had 14-16 Man Utd players in the squad consistently! I've tried to apply for the England job whenever it becomes available but they keep choosing others instead... despite my winning every trophy consecutive years. scott MUFC Posted December 19, 2013 Share Posted December 19, 2013 Finally managed to sign the guy I have been after for ages. he was not 2 stars when i was trying to sign him last season has some key stats I want when i want a more attacking midfielder. this is him, coming from deep from CM in the supercup, how on earth Betis won the Europa league when it had barca, real and Atheletio madrids, Man City, AC milan.... oh and Assistant advised me to loan out Zivkovic, only 40 teams want him on loan -_- a greek team on the bottom i missed. and turned down all the Balanta loans. teams instantly loan offering stuff, I got 3 offers for Barbosa as soon as he arrived. Won six trophy's in my second season (didn't won capital cup, everything else was won) .. lost com.shield against spurs after shoot-outs in my third season.. Ok buddy. Yes, its easier for me to download a tactic with the correct basics, and tweak it over the game time, than to spend hours building/testing tactics/formations to see if they work or not. I simply cannot dedicate more time to the game like I used to love doing years ago. Anyway, I'm not going to bother posting in here as I can't be arsed with the tittle tattle. CoC easy atm, after this win, got Sheffield Wednesday was a soft Penalty, Shaw got the ball, DDG saved it anyway and Such a good win, except for the defenders turning into crazy fools at the end, sliding in Papadopolous sent off for a body check.. that 4-0 win put me above Stoke on top of the league on GD. Has been the case for the previous 5 seasons. Taking the screenshot before I go and lose to Arsenal away after my 2 games in 2 days before them, although Wilshere and Ozil are out so might be able to take it. My only signing this season so far, bargain 12m off Porto. He slot straight into my team and im actually preparing the team with 'Attacking Set Pieces' now before games as his corners, free kicks are so good. He just got injured for 3-4 months though which i'm not happy about. (3rd season i had a 90m budget at least and 4th 120m) Also I'm guessing Januzaj's potential varies? Thanks! Depending on whether you sold anyone, you are given a base 34-38m in the first season. From my own save, I was given about 75m in the second season as I got rid of ALOT of deadwood in the team. Also I'm guessing Januzaj's potential varies? In my first save with Man U he was really good, in my new save however he's already near his potential but nowhere near as good as he was in the previous save. I'm currently concidering selling him and just keeping Zaha Januzaj's PA is random (-9), if you do get on the right end of his random PA he will be an absolute world-beater but even if you don't he is still very good since the range for a -9 is from 160 to 190 IIRC. Although he more set for a central role I knew that to give him game time it would be the left wing that he plays mainly. This meant he needed to improve in a lot of areas. Physically he needed to get his stamina up because although he had great natural fitness his stamina was poor and would require him to get regular rests. End of season 1 The biggest movement was all types of his set pieces improving significant. He made a 20% increase in his concentration and slightly improved his stamina and strength which still needed a lot of work. Very slight increase in determination. A decent first season as well, with 14 goals and 19 assists you really cant complain. End of Season 2 This season had a duration of Stamina focus and so made a lot of progress. Else where there was further improvement in his setpieces and an all round increase in stats. If anything, a slight decline on his first seasons success with just 6 goals, but kept up a decent assist by equaling the 19. End of Season 3 Seemingly this lad wants to be a set piece specialised. Without focusing on it they all increased yet again and made it to Freekick Expert. Stamina increased yet again a decent amount to give him solid value there now and else where he progressed decently all round. Played less games this season, and showed with just 8 goals and 12 assists. End of Season 4 As well as a free kick specialist, he became a penalty specialist. Admittingly he missed some during this season but those misses helped better him in the area. Made a leap in his creativity and physically became stronger. His key skills also increased leaving him a solid all round winger that could now fill in for the middle of the field and not be bullied of the ball. Starting to become a match winner, 14 goals, 19 assists and 4 Man of the Matches. Starting to show what the future brings. End of Season 5 Clearly it appears he playing at full potential as he having to start to decide where he wishes his abilities to be focused. It appears that his focus was to be on that of a creative playmaker. Really kicked it up a gear. 15 goals and 24 assists. He pushing for the assists record of the club, thats for sure. End of Season 6 Continues his development of his playmaker role. A record braking season. 17 goals and 30 assists. 8 man of the matches. He really is someone the team can rely on. End of season 7 No screenshot of this. (7.89 in league. from 36 starts). And as an old favourite joined me for the 8th season. Here is his stats. Verby Posted December 23, 2013 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Half way through my sixth season currently, squad keeps getting hit by huge injurys, I had all my wingbacks out at one point and a few of my midfielders have had lengthy lay offs. Was finally beaten in the league by Chelsea (29 games unbeaten in the league, last season included), we just couldnt score and they finally took the lead when David Luiz threw the ball in from a throw in straight into my area and Lukaku just nodded the ball home with ease. Got Man City in the 4th round of the capital one cup which was unlucky and fielded half a team of youngsters so they done well to only lose in extra time. Third loss this season was to Ajax, we had already qualified but I still fielded a good squad so no excuses, would have liked to finish that group off with no losses though to be honest Has anyone noticed that game seems to produce some really good CM's in the game, the box2box type, i'm having some luck in turkey getting them, these two players were bought when they were over 21 (My scouts missed them all them years), they add great squad depth for me and I got TANK for 500k off Basel, i couldnt believe it when they said he would cost that and hes wanted by 5 clubs at the moment after only one season with me (Spurs, Bayern, Milan, Real Madrid and Athletico) and BARUT cost me a small 4.2m. Still not stopping my team currently though. This new season saw me move players around between teams and positions to see how they would do. Need to sell some players but instead I been loaning them out because when some the older players move on these guys can get a good few years of play with me in theory. Currently on 40 goals in 10 games.. this includes beating Chelsea 7-0 at old trafford. A completely unexpected result. He seems to get great tackle/game stats compared to alot of players too. When you look at players that got the potential to be as good as him, you be paying 30m for them at least anyways.
