I never have a senior squad of more than 25 players and like to keep my youth teams (u21, u18s, etc) to a minimum, never bloating them with multiple wonderkid signings every season (I find that ruins the game for me as I get overwhelmed).

So, season 1 has ended. Finished 2nd in League One behind Peterborough who led from start to finish. Bit disappointed not to win the league but I had a little bit of a slow start, even dropping to 8th after the first 6 games. James Collins was an absolute revelation, to the extent that he tied Ray Straw's goalscoring record for most league goals in a season (37). Anyway, I've been given £6m to spend in the Championship next season while also managing to acquire Manchester City as a parent club. Hopefully be able to get some nice youngsters to help in our probable relegation battle.
