It sounds like an old person thing to say, but the game has gone in a lot of ways. What made the Arsenal vs Man Utd battle of the 90s and early 2000s so special in my opinion is the fact that it was a contrast in styles. One built around a core of British youth (Class of 92) and Wenger's continental imports. The new stadium killed us at the time. But that was also when Champions League money was so important. To be fair, getting some of those squads into the top 4 every year was nothing short of miraculous. And there's a few clubs now who would love a 22 year run of Champions League football. Us included.
