blowcrapup
Cheers for the link Nep. I know what you mean about getting attached to the players. I did the same with Ryabstev on FM08 even bringing him with me after I left my first club and again trying to bring him after I moved again. Tom - I found its more fun doing this with lower league teams as they get involved in the squad quicker. On 08 when I was Milan I picked my projects but I couldn't play them as they were so poor when compared to my other players. So they ended up sitting in my reserves and out on loan. Did anyone who had youth projects on 08 use a 3rd party to find out their projects PA? I tried not to but in the end I gave in. The best I had was 189. Yeah thats what I was thinking. Hopefully with Leeds I will be able to try and intergrate them as much as possible. Probably easier to intergrate youths into Leeds' first team compared to Milans
michaeltmurrayuk
I assume that Swift's assist came from a long throw michael? It actually came from him intercepting an opposition throwin I don't think I've actually had a long throw into the box on the highlights.
Razer82
Santa Cruz (MT) Youth Project Player 1 Claudimar – Initial Profile I was surprised to get a GK as the best player promoted this year, but after looking at his profile I can certainly see why! He’s already got some great stats and at 14 can only get better. My assistant currently gives him 1 star CA and 7 star PA, so if things go well and he develops nicely I could have my GK for the next 15 years! rancer890
NepentheZ - Give me a call soon! What you said a few posts is so true...Liu Lijia and Zhu Jinhui are the only obstacles separating me from FM09. Having more fun at Rizhiquan than in my PSV career game... Oh, and Jinhui's agent is also waiting for a phone call from you. He said something about HOF. michaelmurrayuk - I personally have high hopes for Swift. I would keep him at FC United and put him in a rotation. I'm one of those managers who likes giving young players (it's quite obvious through how I treat my Rizhiquan youths ) lots of playing time and living with their mistakes. Perkins looks decent. Not as good as Swift but he should be a good backup down the road... Razer82 - Claudimar looks good. Just hope that you don't get an overload of goalkeepers like I did. DodgeeD
Nep - as you said, Leonard's physical stats are impressive. Seems they are higher than the average for FM08 already. Good technique and flair too, although maybe that will see him trying too many fancy tricks and needlessly giving tha ball away. mmuk - good to see Swift in the team so early. I would give him more time - my coaches at Blsany (my FM08 YP centre) often gave players 3 stars for potential early in their careers but they went on to become 4 or 5 star rated players in my first team (they were world class coaches with 15+ for JPA and JPP too!) razer - Claudimar looks decent and has plenty of time to develop. I had the same problem in the Czech Republic last time - 14 year old GKs who weren't eligible to play for 2 years and then weren't ready to play for a few more. In the end, I had a 19 year-old GK who had been at the club for 5 years and managed 2 starts in all that time! rancer - what can I say about Jinhui? I guess that's what everyone involved in this thread is hoping for. I think that's me up to date on the recent happenings in the thread. I haven't been dropping in much as I've been absorbed in my new Gundo's Challenge save. The first season is nearly over and hopefully we'll be meeting Yalovaspor's first young starlet today. One good piece of news for the youth in my system: in the Turkish 2nd Diviison, there is a no foreigners rule meaning Turkish players are at a premium. Plus the league standard is quite low, especially in the early stages so they should get some good game time!

kroblues
Emanuele Urbinati He scored his first club goals this season, and broke the 75 appearance barrier. He has also now made 20 International appearances and scored his first goal too, also set up our equaliser against Turkey (We lost 3-1). DodgeeD
The Yalovaspor Youth Project Season 1 of Yalovaspor's rise to the top has been completed and the club has announced the arrival of a new batch of youth players. Each season, our intrepid reporter, 'unamed reporter' from worldsoccer.com will track the player the club's staff deem to be the pick of the bunch. And so, without further ado (....drum roll please...), it's my pleasure to introduce: Prodigy 1 (ST, Turkish) Kubilay Güngör: Initial Profile (June 2010) PPMs - None Left foot - fairly strong Right foot - very strong Good to start with a striker (especially as there are only 3 in the first team squad at present) and he's two-footed (almost ). The coaches say he has the potential to be a 'good second division striker' but it's clear that he needs some work on his technical attributes as well as jumping, balance and strength. One problem though - the U-18s league doesn't begin until January and some bizarre rule says in order to be eligible, players must be born after 1.1.94. As Kubilay was born on 13.10.93, he won't be allowed to play! As in real life, there is also an U-20 side at the club but for some reason (every year in FM it's the same) the U-20 league is not featured in the game. In short, he has to play in the first team or not at all. Hopefully, that won't affect his development negatively.
rancer890
DodgeeD, Gungor looks decent, just slowly bleed him into the first team. Lower Leagues Rule
Des Tiny's AD Fafe Youth Update Player 1a - Vitor Henriques - POR - AMC July 2010 July 2011 | Season | Squad | Games | Goals | Assists | MoM | Avg Rat | |-------------|-------|-------|-------|---------|-----|---------| | 2010/11 | U19s | 19 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 6.38 | | | Senior| 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 6.40 | | 2011/12 | | | | | | | |-------------|-------|-------|-------|---------|-----|---------| Had an average season, but with my senior AMC's retiring at the end of this season he will play back-up for the squad this time around. Player 1b - Jose Antunes - POR - AMC July 2010 July 2011 | Season | Squad | Games | Goals | Assists | MoM | Avg Rat | |-------------|-------|-------|-------|---------|-----|---------| | 2010/11 | U19s | 22 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 6.19 | | 2011/12 | | | | | | | |-------------|-------|-------|-------|---------|-----|---------| I think Antunes was very average though he did pick up three goals on the season, will be a wait and see policy with him, tempted to give him another season in the U19s with several starts in the seniors, but he may head out to Imortal. Player 2a - Paulo Fonseca - POR - AMC/FC July 2011 | Season | Squad | Games | Goals | Assists | MoM | Avg Rat | |-------------|-------|-------|-------|---------|-----|---------| | 2011/12 | | | | | | | |-------------|-------|-------|-------|---------|-----|---------| Looks an absolute gem for the team, and his potential is to be as good as Martinho (My current No.1 Striker), so he is definitely one to watch. Player 2a - Ricardo Nunes - POR - D/MR July 2011 | Season | Squad | Games | Goals | Assists | MoM | Avg Rat | |-------------|-------|-------|-------|---------|-----|---------| | 2011/12 | | | | | | | |-------------|-------|-------|-------|---------|-----|---------| I don't think Nunes is really the best of the rest, but I just love the way his stats are turned out for him to play on the wing, but the coaches don't rate him at all. Lower Leagues Rule
Has anyone else noticed its really hard to get players to go to a Feeder Club on FM09? I have tried sending my two Youth Prospects from Season 1 and they won't go to either club, both are only one level below me, admittedly unplayable leagues, but still. Is already in the teams overall best 11 with the third best rating in there. Hopefully he can manage the step up to the Blue Square Prem. Mark Allen (DC) Intial Profile Has amazing physical attributes for this level and aparently has the potential to be as good as Bruno N'Gotty (not sure if its a good thing as N'Gotty is 40)
