Guest roberto922
Go for it, you don't have to keep him just because he's a YP, plus if he's not good enough and someones offering for him it's a no brainer IMO

tomsmith1989
How many leagues do you lot load? and how long does it take you to get through a season? Updates seem to be very frequent, and it takes me ages to get through a season.

sirdez24
Bit of a mid-season update here. I got a fellow by the name of Craig Moore in my latest crop of youths. As you can see, the screenshot isn't at the start of the season as I only brought him into the first team around November, but he has been very effective and has scored some important goals. His mental stats and lack of anything outstanding other than pace will probably mean he doesn't ever get above BSP, but I bring him to your attention because of this: 22 minutes. Yeah. I was just wondering really because i've decided to start a new game. All this talk of a Hall of Fame got me thinking. I thought that with leeds United i'd not really have much chance of getting any 'inductees'. So, i'm starting a new game in either Portugals bottom division or belgiums bottom division. NepentheZ
really not sure what to do with my second youth project. He's a Goalkeeper who is never really going to play for the club, and Droylsden are persistently interested in him. Seriously thinking about selling him. What do you guys think? sell him. I found it just as interesting tracking the careers of the players I sold, as I did with the players I kept
sirdez24
Class. Thats exactly what I love to see If only my players could do that He's now my equal top scorer with 15 and has eight of those in his last five games (7.74 rating). I was actually making it up myself, and putting in the 25th of June of whichever year they came through, but then I found that theres actually a section that says when they joined. The only thing is, they're all on 08-07-2008. Its possible that thats when a whoe batch of mized players joined the youth team, I guess, so I'll keep putting in that date for a few seasons to see if it eventually changes. If it doesn't, I'll change it back to my original way of doing it.

tomsmith1989
So, I decided to start again for a number of different reasons. Firstly, I have loaded far too many leagues onmy Leeds save, and it is taking forever to get through seasobs. Also, I fancied some lower league management at the minute, and I feel that producing successful regens at this level is so much more fulfilling. So i've loaded all the Portugese leagues. I started unemployed, and then I was approached by Clube Oriental de Lisboa in the Portugese Second Divison - Group D. Clube Oriental de Lisboa Youth Project Youth Project 1 Vitor Lobo - AML Portugese Left Foot - Very Strong Right Foot - Very Weak PPMs - None Initial Profile The left side of my midfield is possibly the weakest area of the team, so I was very pleased to get a left midfielder. He is going to fit right in, and is on a par, if not better than my current left mid.

I was rewarded as his 6 (yes 6) goals made him my top scorer that season . Xue Yan (AMR) Initial Profile Looks pretty good but only time will tell. Is going to be trained as a MC as well. Zhou Zen (DRLC) Initial Profile Doesn't have great attributes but my Ass Man says he has the potential to become the best defender in the side. tomsmith1989
Xue Yan looks quite good. He has some pace which is always useful in wingers. Project 4, Neil Smith - DC Initial Profile Summary - Supposedly the best player to come through our ranks this season, i'm not really impressed with him to be honest. My assistant says he has the potential to be a key player for a Blue Square North/South team, so he's never going to be that great. We'll see how he does, but he looks like another 'never was'. NepentheZ
Neil Smith looks poor I'm unlucky with my youths, but you've just been handed the pits year on year. Hopefully season 5 will see you get someone talented. Whats the rest of the youths look like? What are the average Current and Potential * ratings? I've had (got) 7 players rated 6* and 7* from my youth system thus far. Thats quite amazing in just 4 completed seasons.

PaulHartman71
Well the average from this seasons in-take and probably last seasons as well is around 2 star current ability, and around 2/3 potential ability. From season 1 and 2 i'd say the average for them at the moment is 4 current, and then 5 or 6 potential. They're all probably only ever going to be Blue Square quality players, whether that be Premier or the North/South. Hopefully in my fifth season i'll have a breakthrough and get a very good player though.

sirdez24
sirdez24 - BSP - 2011/12 Youth player 1: Bill Farrell (2010 crop) Initial profile End of first season End of second season Making solid progress. Have gotten him onto a FT contract so should benefit somewhat from the increased training, even if my facilities are poor. Has attracted interest from Kidderminster, Tranmere, Notts County and Burnley to date. Youth player 2: Joe Mockford (2011 crop) Initial profile End of first season Wonderful first season, whether it be as a holding midfielder, a central defender or even down the right side. Very consistent for such a young age, very rarely getting under a 7 rating. Hugely promising youngster. Youth player 3: Craig Moore (2011 crop) First profile End of first season I didn't have him initially pegged as much, but his pace meant he got a first team spot around November, and he ended up being my joint top scorer. No mental stats to speak of, but I have gotten him onto FT training just to see what comes of him. I think he is at his level though. Just waiting on my new intake now.
