mag man
I was hoping writing about them would make me play them more. The problem is was a very close season and I have gone up through the leagues quickly so the standard is so much higher I expect to settle in this league for a few seasons so hopefully they get more playing time. It didnt really help that there potential was only to be a good player in the league below me.
NepentheZ
Yea its difficult to play them sometimes, but I force myself to play players, even if I really think they're not good enough. But hey, each to their own
mag man
If they have the potential to be good enough I always play them a bit, its just with these there potential isnt even worth it for the League I'm now in. Ive released a couple of them because there was no point. I will try and play them a bit more though
rancer890
You should at least give them all 5-10 games in the first season Even if you're 3-0 up with 20 minutes left, give them that 20 minutes. I will go farther than that. Play them every other game at least! Had no idea how many games I played Jiang Lin till I did these updates.
sirdez24
My first intake at Canvey Island has just come, and despite most being pretty average, I got one gem to come through. Bill Farrell. Physically he is very good, but two other stats stand out for me - a workrate of 17 and a technique of 15, which means his stats like free kicks, finishing and dribbling should all go up into the early to mid teens. I also like that most of his single figure attributes are above five, so a lot of them should reach double figures too. His creativity, flair and passing should ensure he becomes a pretty good offensive central midfielder. My assistant already regards him as one of the best players at the club and he'll certainly get games in his first season.

sirdez24
Farrell looks brilliant for that level sirdez. It's funny, as when I get my intake, I leave the player my assistant recommends until last to look at, and up until Farrell it had been just a multitude of 1s. rancer890
Do you have any plans to play on 09? I'm getting the game at Christmas but my main goal is to switch to FM09 when Jinhui retires...but he's only 23 so I might stay on FM08 for a while. I might be tempted to start FM09 when Lijia retires though (30 years old already )...that depends to how good Jinhui is at that time...
sirdez24
Bill Farrell bags his first senior goal (and hopefully the first of many) with a 20 yard thunderbolt into the top corner. After five league starts, his average rating is 7.20 with one MOTM, and is laying a stunning 8.31 tackles per game (first in the division by a fair margin). So it appears he is more rounded than I thought and doesn't mind getting his socks dirty.

Razer82
Santa Cruz (MT) Youth Project Player 1 – Claudimar Initial Profile – 2010 Season 2 – 2011 Claudimar played a massive 85 games last season, all of them in either the reserves or under 20s, the experience does seem to have helped him and I expect great leaps of improvement when he’s able to sign a professional contract when he turns 16. Player 2 – Rogerio Initial Profile According to my assistant, Rogerio doesn't have as much potential as Claudimar but I’m hoping that with time and the right training this guy could develop into a decent backup player. I was actually making it up myself, and putting in the 25th of June of whichever year they came through, but then I found that theres actually a section that says when they joined. The only thing is, they're all on 08-07-2008. Its possible that thats when a whoe batch of mized players joined the youth team, I guess, so I'll keep putting in that date for a few seasons to see if it eventually changes. If it doesn't, I'll change it back to my original way of doing it.

DodgeeD
I know what you mean about Leonard Nep. For me, Jurcik from the FM08 thread was by no means a great player but he was the first Youth Player I took under my wing so I stuck with him. Having said that, he did end up with domestic league and cup medals, Champions League medals and played at two seperate world cups despite his averageness Oh and Youth Project 3 - the forgotten man. That's just class! All credit to him for holding his own in the first team though. Good to see Stones getting even better roberto. It will be interesting to see what level he can reach. Prodigy 2 has now arrived at Yalovaspor. Update to follow tonight or tomorrow.
