Good stuff Slipknot. If possible, could you do some information on him similar to others in the thread? It doesn't have to be as elaborate, but something would be nice

No probs Nep...will have a dig around in my news league histories etc and see what I can rustle up. :D

Iain Baird, Acceivements so far. July 2010 Joins Celtic Football club from the youth academy, is rated by coaches as potentially one of the most gifted players to come through the youth system" is offered a future professional contract and signs a full time contract on his 17th birthday. Spends most of season 2010/11 out on loan at Ross County to gain some invaluable first team experience, becomes a fairly regular starter for them and manages to get himself 20 league starts and 4 goals. Season 2011/12 sees the young striker out on loan again, this time to Blackpool where he manages a very impressive 18 goals 1 assist and 3 man of the matches in 28 league appearences. By the time he returned from his loan spells his valuation and key attributes had risen considerably enough that he started to make a few first team outings at Celtic and in season 2011/12 gets 8 league starts and 7 substitute appearences under his belt, scoring 5 goals, the first being on his competative debut in a 2-0 away win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle. He was introduced to the intense atmosphere of an 'old firm' derby match against arch rivals Rangers on 22/5/2012 and managed to mark the occassion by scoring to help the team to a 3-1 home win.The end of the season sees Baird face his most difficult challenge to date and perhaps of his entire career, as he suffers a broken leg which could easily have led to an abrubt and early end to his days in pro football. The youngster spent a long hard 4 months receiving treatment from specialists and managed to fight his way back to fitness and soon found himself back in contention for a first team place, after a few weeks of reserve football. In the following season he did brilliantly to recover from this major setback and went on to make 30 first team appearences in season 2012/13, scoring 11 league goals and also managed to add 9 assists and 4 man of the match perfrmances, firmly establishing himself as a member of the first team squad. Season 2013/14 turned out to be my last and as things worked out also Baird's last season at Celtic. Baird made 20 league starts, scoring 8 league goals, 8 assists and 1 man of the match, making a good contribution to the 5th successive league title I managed to get with Celtic that season, which no doubt in turn helped to draw the attention of the Manchester united hierarchy, who offered me a contract to replace the outgoing Frank Rijkaard at Old Trafford. I took the position and reluctantly left Parkead at the end of that eventfull season, feeling I'd acheived all I could with Celtic. One of my firsts acts as Manager at Manchester United was to reluctantly accept a 24 million pounds bid for the unsettled Carlos Tevez, that piece of business left me with a space for a striker in my first team and a hefty transfer budget to spend. I had no hesitation in making an immediate enquiry into the possibility of bringing young Baird to United, I was convinced by his performences at Celtic (and his resiliancy in overcoming serious injury) that he had what it takes to succeed at the highest level. After a few rounds of negotiations with Celtic I finally managed to bring my young protege to Old Trafford for a fee of 17.75 million pounds. He found himself rather thrown in at the deep end and his first game at Man U was also his competitive debut against Montanegran side Buducnost Podgorica in the 3rd qualifying round of the euefa cup, in which he scored in a 2-0 win. He went on to make 45 starts and 8 sub appearences in all competitions, scoring 27 goals, 8 assists and 4 man of the match performances. We finished 3rd in the league in season 2014/15. Season 2015/16 has just been completed and we managed to improve on last season, finishing second in the premership and also getting to the league cup final which we lost 2-1 to rivals Man City. Baird managed 21 league starts this season and 12 substitute appearances, he scored 20 league goals and managed 6 assists and 2 man of the matches. He also managed 2 goals, 4 assists and 1 man of the match in our league cup run and 5 goals 2 assists and 1 man of the match in 6 starts in European cmpeition. He also managed to get himself a place in the Champions league dream team and second top goalscorer in the premiership.

Also announced taday a new intake of players from the youth academy, my assistant manager singles out Carl Appleby as possibly one of the best players of his generation. So introducing slipknot's youth project player 2...

I'm not sure how this kid is going to get on at Man U, as my squad is probably strongest in defence at the moment, however I will get him learning from Patrice Evra and we shall see if he is able to live up to the expectations placed on him by my assistent manager.

Ignacio Andjar, is my first player in here, but let it be known, I signed him off Villareal, He did NOT come from my youth ranks. After speaking with Nep, I am allowed to post him, as long as I let it be known he was signed.

These players, DID come from my youth ranks:

Adam Warner: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg255/siradamc/AdamWarner.png

Adam Bradshaw: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg255/siradamc/FM09%20Offline%20game%20Screenies/AdamBradshaw.png

These are the players I will use in this.

You only took them because they're called adam. ;)

I didn't know we were allowed to add players we signed to this. I have a few I would have followed. Ah well I think I'll just stick with my own YP.

Adam: Andujar looks pretty amazing. Wish I could get people that good in China.

Guest roberto922

So basically someone could go on Genie scout, pick out the best youngsters, sign them and post them on here and look forward to an easy place in the HoF?

i'm sorry if I sound ignorant, but seeing 'Hall of Fame' or 'HOF' at the end of peoples post is really getting on my nerves. Does it really have to be on the end of every post? If it does, couldn't it at least have a meaningful description like 'Neppo's Youth Player Project - The Official Hall Of Fame'. It just seems really pointless having a link to something at the end of all of your posts, and surely a mention of it every now and then is enough for people to look at it every now and then is sufficient enough?

ok, didn't mean to cause all this lol, sorry. I have deleted the signed youth player and have left my 2 from the youth ranks. I don't want to er 'rock the boat' :)

As I understand that if everyone starts posting their new youth they signed, the main idea of the thread can be lost.

Agree :D - I thought it would look ok, but it is quite annoying. Just put the Hall of Fame link up once every few days, or something. Cheers lads

 - You didn't need to delete it. I understand it doesn't follow the "rules" - which is why in the PM I asked for you to mention that he was not from your youth academy, so that he wont get nominated for HoF. Glad you're only using the real YP though
