sirdez24
sirdez24 - League Two - 2014/15 Back to back promotions, so my youth will now get a chance to shine in League One. Youth player 1: Bill Farrell (2010 crop) Initial profile End of first season End of second season End of third season End of fourth season End of fifth season Player of the Season 2012/13 L2 Team of the season 2014/15 Club favoured personnel Now the club captain, and had possibly his best season yet, especially as a playmaker with a career high in assists. Continues to rack up quality numbers and will go down as a club legend before too long. L1 shouldn't be a problem for him. I only had to turn down one offer for him, which was from Championship club Sheffield United, however a host of CH and L1 clubs remain interested. Career stats: 215(16) games, 40 goals, 32 assists, 16 MOTM, 7.09 av rating. Youth player 2: Joe Mockford (2011 crop) Initial profile End of first season End of second season End of third season End of fourth season Highest league av rating Player of the Season 2013/14 BSP Team of the Season 2013/14 He truly is Mr Consistency, with a season rating of 7.34 pretty much based on getting that exact rating every game, as opposed to an outstanding game followed by a poor one etc, which evens out. Has made the holding midfield role his own, but also filled in at right back due to injuries. His mental stats haven't improved a hell of a lot, but I have a veteran central midfielder coming in July so I might try and get him learning off of him. Another who should be able to step up to L1 fairly easily. Career stats: 154(21) games, eight goals, 22 assists, nine MOTM, 7.18 av rating. Youth player 3: Tom Short (2012 crop) Initial profile End of first season End of second season End of third season Sadly, I have a feeling he has reached his level, and will play off the bench next season. Still had a solid season and provided some excellent moments, but consistency continues to be a problem. I will try and use him as a 'super sub' in L1. Career stats: 120(20) games, 30 goals, 26 assists, five MOTM, 6.87 av rating. Youth player 4: Andy Downes (2013 crop) Initial profile End of first season End of second season Top league scorer BSP Top league scorer/av rating L2 BSP Team of the Season 2013/14 L2 Team of the season 2014/15 Player of the Season 2014/15 Canvey Island league scoring record 50 career league goals Career stats: 86(1) games, 66 goals, 19 assists, 23 MOTM, 7.29 av rating. Another stunning season for someone who still isn't legally able to drink. Would have hit the 40 goal mark if it wasn't for several injuries, and notched up a second straight league Golden Boot award, while also having the highest average rating and top ten in assists in L2. The bidding started with Wycombe in pre-season, with them making five different bids, the highest getting up to £95K. Despite plenty of interest from Championship and Scottish clubs, I only ever got offers which consisted of nothing up front and payment over 24 months. His mental stats haven't really come on but I am assuming that will come with age. I asked him to learn the PPM 'places shots' as well as he has a tendency to blaze away when through on goal, but he was having none of that. Youth player 5: Peter Collins (2014 crop) Initial profile End of first season I like to give youth a chance, but this guy won't see past his youth contract here. Will probably advise him to change his name to Phil and sign with Leigh Genesis.

NepentheZ
Youth Player 7 isn't having the effect I thought he would from set pieces. He's only scored 2 goals in 27 games, and they both came from the penalty spot. His Free Kick rating has moved up to 18, and with that, I thought he would at least get a few assists from free kick crosses, but he only has 1 assist, and it was from open play. Perhaps I need to rethink my Set Piece settings to utilize him more.
NepentheZ
Ok, I've done something completely erratic with Free Kicks and corners. I've overloaded the box for corners, with 1 man + Keeper staying back, and 8 men in the box. (Not that this has any effect on YP7). For Free Kicks, I've got them set to "Cross Center" - I have put 3 men in the wall, 3 men marking the keeper and 2 men "fwd". Hopefully the wall disruptions will get YP7 some more goals, and the keeper overload will get him some assists. Lets see how my plan unfolds

NepentheZ
Pretty sure goals from set pieces have been toned down a fair bit in this version. Theres tones down, then there is what I've got. Direct Free Kicks Scored In the 2016/17 Season (As of Jan 14th 2017) English Premier Division - 95. *All 20 Clubs have scored at least 1 direct Free Kick. Leader - 10, Least - 1 English Championship - 125. *All 24 Clubs have scored at least 1 direct Free Kick. Leader - 8, Least - 2 English League 1 - 101. *All 24 Clubs have scored at least 1 direct Free Kick. Leader - 8, Least - 2 Blue Square Premier - 68. *All 24 Clubs have scored at least 1 direct Free Kick. Leader - 5, Least - 1 Blue Square North - 67. *20 of the 22 clubs have scored at least 1 direct Free Kick, Leader - 8, Least - 0 Blue Sqaure South - 51. *20 of the 22 clubs have scored at least 1 direct Free Kick, Leader - 6, Least - 0 That all looks fine. Right? Now, lets compare that to League 2, the division I am currently in..... League 2 - 11. 10 of the 24 clubs have scored at least 1 direct Free Kick, Leader - 2, Least - 0 1st - 2 2nd - 2 3rd to 10th - 1 11th and lower = 0. In comparison, those stats are SHOCK. ING. iacovone
Thinking about the number of direct free kicks scored in the Prem though - 95 is ridiculous!
