Well, finally had a strong run in FM20.  Talk about a tough game to figure out.  So I ended up moving to FM20.2.4Beowulf442WAFKnap(P107)P108EC.  Honestly I have no clue how to read or interpret any of that except it's a 442 tactic that you scored 108/107 points with.  LOL

Anyway, I took over the Sunderland job.  They had just been relegated from the Championship, finishing 22nd.. We were picked to finish 1st in the preseason preview.  The first month of the season I was playing BlackEcho.  While we were not losing much we were taking a lot of draws.  We had 4W 4D 1L in the opening month.  Two of the four wins however were Carabao Cup matches.

I switched over to the PreachinBlues4141 for the second month and again didn't do horrible.  6W 0D 1L that month; two cup matches with wins.  Up to Dec 7 we 1W 1D 0L in the first two matches with one of the two prior tactics but never climbed above 4th in the table and slipped to 7th outside the playoffs.

On Dec 10 I switched over to the Beowulf to tighten up the midfield where I found the BlackEcho to be weakest.  We won 5 and lost 1 through the end of the year  After Jan 1, we only lost one match the rest of the season, an FA Cup Third Round to Man City by a 0-1 tally.  After that match we would go on a 24 match unbeaten run though the end of the season, capped by a 14 match win streak that saw us win the Leasing.com Trophy and in the final game of the season we claimed the Double with a 3-0 win over Charlton to win League One.  Our leading scorers finished with 27 goals in 36(1) matches and 26 in 58(3).  Three players had double digit goals and four players had double digit assists.  There were new club records for Total Points, Goals, Assists, Clean Sheets and Player of the Match Awards.  We'd also set a new League record for consecutive wins.  Back to the Championship for next season, hopefully the tactic will hold up.  Thanks Knap!

20.3 sucks 😕

You ran anything with Spurs yet on 20.3 Knap?

20.3 is way much better from any version of FM19 and FM20 so far IMHO.

Just struggling for any consistency with Spurs. Great result one game, absolute shocker the next!

funnily enough, someone literally just told me the exact same thing. the only reason why i hate testing them is because i'm a Gooner haha. but with Spurs, you start with many injuries and need some key signings, so i can see why people don't get off to a great start. BUT i am SURE you can build a squad and win the league, or at least come close enough, in the first year

So frustrating. Had a great save going on 20.2.4 using Beowulf 107 with the wingers moved up in to the AML/AMR positions.

To be fair the injuries aren’t even that bad at the start so can’t use that as an excuse!

quick update on Spurs test. first 5 games, i've played Arsenal, Man City AND Man Utd away. crazy fixture list but hey, P5 W4 D1 L0

my signings were Perreira for RB, Caicedo for PF and Felipe Luiz for CB...Vertonghen and Alderwierled are too slow for me to play CB...im proud of the start as my injuries take the ****...bot Kane and Son out

now these screenshots here are kind of important. Spurs have LOTS of new players and i signed 3, throughout preseason i did a LOT of teamwork, match tactics, defensive positioning and attacking movement training...along with team bonding and community outreach....before i even kicked a ball, i have good support from players, dressing room atsmophere and team cohesion

i signed this ASS Man because of his personality, ability to keep players happy every day and because he can pretty much handle everything. he does my press and tactical briefings

Nice, especially with that run of fixtures to start with!

Is that with you using your home and away versions of Tequila?

I play touch so unable to do some of the stuff you mention, have brought Landucci in as an ass man however.

I like to play first season with pretty much default squad, brought in a load of youngsters so I have a full 11 in the reserves, only 1st team squad signing is Victor Fischer for 5m.

@Cadoni

Just Tomaka testing tactics . There is an update but still a few more to test.

Ok.

This table shows TEQUILA SUNRISE as the best underdog tactic among others.

Do you know if is this tactic?

On your Google File ID : 1308
