Gizzy
Scholes needs to play on the right between Rafael and Nani to help keep control of Bale. Rafa has never had any problems with Bale. Bale has no answer when the full back has pace. The old Bale Kick and Run doesn't work.
7Bestie7
Rafa has never had any problems with Bale. Bale has no answer when the full back has pace. The old Bale Kick and Run doesn't work. Then stick him on the left to help with Lennon.
JJ72
SAF has a mental block where Giggs is concerned. Cleverley's good enough for England, not for Utd - it's crazy, even if Cleverley was on the left it'd be better than Giggs! Cue half time sub: Rooney for Giggs
Gizzy
Also think its rather poor show that Ando and Cleverley are dropped after playing well and both scoring midweek.
Sheps.
Yeh, that line up is horrible.
hursty2
We have to put up with Dembele again ffs.

ddidiodion
... pretty sure that wasn't the threat you were talking about when you mentioned Vertonghen
metal_guitarist
Where the hell did our defence go? No-one put a bloody foot in, and that was lazy from Nani
hursty2
Big save Dave would've got that.

hursty2
'Interesting to see if Giggs plays narrow today.' It'd be interesting to see him play today.
hursty2
That's one thing we've struggled with this season, players running at us. Suarez did it a lot too.
Icelander83
Yes Nani, yes. You do send the ball to the only ****ing player on the pitch who has his back to you. If Nani is going to play like that we can't afford anyone else being below 100%, so far it looks like almost everyone is far below 100%. Now someone accuse me of irrational Nani hate, yeah? Chris Ritchie
Giggs plays where he wants. It's infuriating.
Icelander83
Giggs just letting the ball run out of play Might as well be playing with 9 men on the field
JJ72
Giggs plays where he wants. It's infuriating. He's too immobile to play anywhere else. When do we bring on Rooney, Welbz and Chicharito?
Icelander83
That's a bloody penalty ffs, no two ways about it
hursty2
That would've ****ing hurt.
Icondacarver
Why are we going with ALL our least mobile central players against a very mobile Spurs? Giggs & Kagawa should not start this game, Kagawa has a unique talent that is not YET ready for games like this (lots of pace and closing down) while Giggs has a SAF voodoo doll. We need to get completely punished for trying these line-ups for SAF to stop them. RVP might be about to have his first "9 week niggle"
metal_guitarist
Lucky Van Persie didn't have his foot planted or that could have been very nasty
Icelander83
No corner, no penner? What the actual **** does the ref think happened there?
Chris Ritchie
I've only just realised that Rooney's available and not playing. Bizarre. Would have thought he and Cleverley would be nailed on after midweek.
Icelander83
Christ alive, Evra and Giggs won't pass the ball all game, just run it straight to the nearest Spurs player I'll take a plucky 98th minute own goal draw right now
ddidiodion
Yay! the terrible Giggs corners are back!

Icondacarver
Our best outlet is actually Nani atm. Definitely, if we had a striker alongside RVP instead of Kagawa those balls might actually cause some chaos. Giggs off for Cleverley while SAF is at it. The game really does pass Kagawa by, is he worth having in games like this for the 1 or 2 "amazing" chances he might create?

Chris Ritchie
I think Kagawa needs other players around him wanting to pass and move quickly too and what we've got on the pitch doesn't fit the bill.

Chris Ritchie
Bale clearly got sick of being in Rafael's pocked and decided to try his luck just running through the middle of the ****ing team instead
hursty2
Ffs, someone needs to close them down when they run through, not back pedal. Kagawa hasn't slotted in properly yet and for home games we should go two up top, Welbeck and RVP would've been my choice today assuming Rooney was always going to be on the bench.
Icelander83
No risk from Bale then? That was about aerial threats, not general threats. No points scored Bestie, unlucky No shots attempted in 33 minutes. Are we playing at the Camp Nou?

I think Kagawa needs other players around him wanting to pass and move quickly too and what we've got on the pitch doesn't fit the bill. Why are we reinventing the wheel here? We leave him out and bring Rooney or Cleverley in and the team looks miles better. This result is a blessing imo, SAF will see that this lineup just does not work against decent teams that have any pace or ball retention. Put a team out that can keep the ball (and win it back) and the chances will come.
Deltaroad
We need to buy more wingers and strikers.

SAF won't change
Chris Ritchie
Kagawa needs Cleverley, not Carrick and Scholes (and certainly not Giggs). That's my point.

Are we playing at the Camp Nou? My first point about Bale wasn't about aerial issues. My second was just tongue in cheek since it's no surprise something like that happened. Really wasn't looking for points. Have the team managed to put more than two? three? passes together?

I thought you were referring to when dion said Bale didn't pose threat when we were talking about set pieces yesterday. Otherwise I don't see the point in that comment at all? Deltaroad
It funny how we have lost the ability to even pass the ball sideways now.
