Finally got chance to post an update, really busy atm so unfortunately not getting much game time in and getting even less time to post in here but i shall find the time, no matter how infrequent! Well i started with Tiverton Town who only had four playing staff and no back room staff so this was the priority in pre-season. Finally got myself a decent squad, just before the league began so this was good, utilising a couple of player/coaches and a player/ass man, plus a loanee from Weston. Pre-season didn't go so well, only effectively getting two points, but the squad is new and just gelling together. My first league game didn't go too badly considering i'm tipped for the drop, a nil-nil draw away from home, however the second game didn't start so well, having my main CB sent off against title favourites H&West in the second minute! Also had my MC sent off for two bookings two minutes into second half so i was delighted to only lose 1-0 ! My third game (only played three to date!) was my first home game against AFC Wimbledon and we were the major under dogs so a hattrick from my star winger made me very happy! We tried to throw it away in the final ten minutes, but thankfully we held on for a fantastic result. So, W1 L1 D1 after three games, hopefully though the start of a winning run! I'm suffering from major fitness problems in my squad though, sometimes having to play players with less than 80% fitness (which i hate doing) so i may need to sign a few squad players and try and tweak my aerobic fitness regimes... Will hopefully get a couple of months in tonight if i can sneak upstairs past the missus..... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Away to Gateshead, one nil down, turned it around to claim a valuable 3 points and knock them out of the title race. 8 games to go...5 points clear...come on the Yeltz!! paulsgruff Posted October 25, 2007 Share Posted October 25, 2007 I'm having a nightmare of a time trying to get myself feeder and parent clubs, my board can never find anyone suitable to link with even now I have been promoted to the Blue Square Premier. Still haven't had a parent club at all yet. In other news, my former striker Mickey Stewart's career has really taken off, and Reading (still in the Premiership) are looking to sign him from Leicester City. In my opinion, if the beta patch doesn't correct this, I would much rather have a retain file for the challenge, as in real life, a manager doesn't come into a new team with no players. If I knew anything about making up a retain file, I would, but I don't, so I can't. Any kind souls wanting to make a retain file, I would appreciate it. A Squad of true men that made all of this possible. The Overview had looked the best it had all season. We all know goals win football matches and here are the two major contributors. Matt Green Jason White My captain, although young showed a good head all season and let us to the top. and this guywas a rock in defense as well as chipping in with loads of assists form corners. Doesn't help when I love to read every last detail of every update, and look at every single screeny!! Quick update on my 1st season in the BSP soon, as I'm halfway through my 3rd season overall already. Just thought I would give a quick heads up though on kits. There's actually a Superpack for the SS08 kits been put on FMG Live Has all of them in one go. Bit easier if you like to add this sort of thing to your game... KUTGW folks!! The players I was about to sign before the patch which my assman loved, is now telling me to sign as a last resort despite them being better than what I have currently (ie no players!)
