Doesn't mean that it'll pass that phase, of course, but it stops people asking in this thread when it's out. We'll only give info about the patch once it has passed through the final test phase, so please note that any questions about it on this thread will be ignored, and likely deleted. What information do you want? If they can't be sure of a date, they shouldn't mention any dates or people will just complain when they miss that date. Neji's thread details the most recent known status of the patch. It's perfectly detailed enough. They can't say any more than that. All that's needed is a bit of patience. It turns into what this thread is, nothing but another "SI are useless" and "Are we there yet?" thread, it's not constructive, it's not remotely uselful, all it is is an excuse for a bunch of people to whine and moan because they have no self control, no discipline and patience for a patch that hasn't been giving a solid deadline to be released. It's far otuside of office hours, nothing is going to happen now. It'll be ready when it's ready, accept this and move on with your life. Not hourly updates no, but at least keep us more informed on it's progress like they did with the games progress before it was released and we had paid for it. How would we have felt if before the game came out all we got was "it's about to go gold shortly" and nothing else? Can't see what the difference is. I am 35 years old and I get the feeling these guys want me to act like a 10 year old,asking all the time what is going on. Now if I say nothing,other people will ask and get the same cold shoulder,or if I do ask ask I get some kid telling me to grow up and just wait. I am sorry guys but when someone pays for a game and cant play they deserve alittle respect and the fact you have alittle power doesnt make that right,miles has came on-line and dodged the question's that matter and moved on,I have to ask how would you feel if you bought something from me and I ignored you afterwards if you had a question(a legit question as to why it wouldnt work?)and I just basically turned my back on you....yep it would be alot different. If on the 17th they say the testing could take 'several days'...and even then it might to make it through the testing!. And no i dont want hourly updates. Maybe an update today- they day many were expecting its release, there could have been an update. p.s im actually someone whos posted about the patch for the first time. Its actually not too much to expect someone to contact one of the mods giving a quick update and the mod can post it..................is it????? No. Daily would be good, you know, let us know how the testing is going? After all I have played this game since it was CM2, and for the sheer amount of money and hours I have spent on the series, I don't feel it would be a lot to ask, put it on the sticky, whatever's easiest. I don't want to know the details, just an update.... something like 'testing is not going so well, and the release date of the patch will be delayed', is better than nothing. Do you ever proof read? Ok I have the game I have installed it...do you know any shop that will refund it now..ok moving on. Ok the game doesnt work so I visit the only forum that can maybe help me but it would seem I dont "deserve" an answer as to why I spent my cash,ok fair enough. When they are at a stage where they can answer the questions and give information, all the info will be posted in a sticky anyway. It's not like they are sitting in those ivory towers with all the information at their fingertips thinking "Well, we could tell them... but seeing as they haven't asked, we won't." Strange as it may seem, we have other things to do, like IRL work, socialising, spending time with family, sleeping, etc. If I wasn't too busy I'd be infracting everybody who posted the utterly pointless "IBTL" posts as well, pure spamming and post count boosting.
