Guest
The thread title says it all. I have played the game a bit recently, and there have, all of a sudden, been half a dozen instances, mostly in the attacking third, where the most reasonable option by far would have been a backheel pass to a teammate. Someone had the ball, and someone else was in a good position for a backheel pass. It never happened. This got me thinking, and I'm almost 100% certain that I have never seen one backheel pass in the game, ever. So, does it exist? Does anyone have proof? I'm sure we all agree that it's an integral part of high-quality football these days.
Swindon69
Visually I'm pretty sure I've seen some - just not in the commentary.
Guest
Interesting. Where I do definitely agree is that the commentary never says anything about it. Not sure about the visual side.
Guest
The animation is in the game.
Tony Wright 747
In 3D i have seen loads , but usually in the higher leagues.
Danchinaski
I've seen plenty, in fact in my experience it occurs too often, I've seen big donkey centre backs do them.
warlock
Happens all the time, to the point where I want an option to fine my defenders for doing it in their own penalty area.
cris182
Definitely happens and as for the commentary not mentioning it i saw 2 in the Newcastle game today that the commentators didn't mention because it's just another form of a pass unless it leads directly to a goal defensively or attacking
HUNT3R
It's there. Might have something to do with the highlight settings you view matches on. Players with Vision will of course be very aware of players behind them, so look at that, maybe. See here for instance:
Guest
Ok, that's settled, then. Thank you all!
Cougar2010
I actually wasn't sure but have just witnessed one of my MCs try a backheel through ball on the edge of the box.
RadioRes
Like others, I have seen a few in 3D views. No commentary or stats about it though.

pats
It's there. Happens when players have high creative freedom.
FrazT
I have just somewhat ridiculously seen it straight from the kickoff, so it defo does exist.
isignedupfornorealreason
I've had it just now. Jamie Vardy backheeled it through two incoming defenders so Wilshire could score for England. Was good to see.
Revaluki
I had a player backheel to another at the top of the box and then he backheeled to an onrushing striker who scored. (I watched that replay a few times.) Stupid journalists didn't even ask about it. Were they watching the same game?
