They are, but because of this reason I really like it, especially as this is one of the strongest State Championships so there's still some competition.

4 games and just the 16 goals scored still a great month and we face Sao Paulo in the Paulistao Final.

We won the Paulistao beating Sao Paulo 7-5 on aggregate and in the league things haven't started too badly as we sit in joint 2nd.

Just the 2 games this month, both nice wins, with one against my old club Vitoria, who are doing surprisingly well even though they are seen as a textbook definition of a yoyo club.

Some great wins here Santos aren't what they used to be, they're more of a mid-table side now, but the away win against Portuguesa! We'd killed it by half time.

We've made it to the Quarter Final of the Copa Sadia do Brasil after beating Nautico 5-3 on aggregate, and in the league we had the most important game of the season against Atletico Paranaense and we could only muster a draw, but at least we're still ahead of them.

We're still going great guns and Atletico have practically self destructed with Corinthians now being our main challenge, we also already have one foot in the Copa Sadia do Brasil Final after Vini getting a hattrick against Cruzeiro

Well we lost the 2nd leg of the cup semi-final 4-2, but we did squeeze through 6-5 on aggregate! We're leaving things right to the end in the league, a game in hand and just a point behind but we face 11th, 6th and 4th in our last 3 games.

Great end to the season and we're the champions of Brazil!! The big shock is that I won't be leaving, I'm going to staying here for another season to manage Palmeiras in continental competition.

We actually had a more mixed month as we came back down to earth with a couple of defeats, the high point though is obviously winning the Copa Libertadores which has led to a couple of things!

Corinthians manager was sacked after the Libertadores defeat.

A good month, we're in the fight for 2nd though as there is no stopping Corinthians, we're 10 points behind them already! Vini scores into the double figures again this month with 13 goals!

Transfer News:

So far this season our record sale has been broken twice, 1st with Gil's £14.75M to Cruzeiro followed by Pedro Delgado's £20M move to Inter, but this has now been smashed again, or, it will be when the transfer goes through!
