Hard to say atm. Swansea have been the better side but we've had a few moments. Not sure we'll get anything with Yesil up front though, he's just so light weight.

I've been impressed with Downing though, which I don't think I've ever said.

How's it sounding? Any chance of us getting back in it?

Not at present, Swansea have backed off a little since scoring and we are able to play a bit more but whenever Michu gets the ball he looks dangerous, normally passing the ball outwide with great accuracy. We can't seem to keep the ball and when we do it's kind of slow and results in a cross in the box to nobody in particular.

Yeah, he's VERY slight, the ball gets to him and inevitably we end up losing it. Swansea have been superb though, very good football.

Tonight will be a lesson in how we should be playing. We have only done it in flashes so far under BR, but Swansea have played like that for about 5 years. It's where we want to be (with better quality players of course).

We are still trying to force it in the final 3rd and not recycling possesion when there is nothing on.

Frustrating really...

Michu really does look like a great player. Can see him moving on in the summer to a big club.

He looks quality, simply dropping off the centrebacks and playing the ball into space for the runners, whilst he himself gets in the box. He doesn't look the most mobile of players but he's very adept at his role.

He looks great. Complete revelation of a player. Signed out of nowhere and real quality, much like Mirallas at Everton.

We really need to find the odd player of this quality and value every now and again.

Can't remember the last time we signed someone who nobody new much about and he turned out to be real quality. Probably Alonso.... :(

If we are still proponents of Moneyball, then these 2 are prime examples of it, both a perfect age and cost relative peanuts by modern standards.

Because we want to win?

When we have a squad as thin as ours we can't try and 'win' every competition. If we're prioritising this competition then fair enough, but we're quite clearly not with the team that was put out so it makes you wonder why we're bothering with taking such a risk.
