No tweaks needed imo - it works great just as it is in FM11.

are you just putting the tactic in and playing or are you doing the recommended tweaks that tells you in the post ie change the cb to zonal marking and the fbs to man with tight marking, and the shouts after pausing at the start?

Hi,

First off I'd like to congratulate you on another amazing tactic. I used your 4-3-3 tactic in FM10 and this version is just as good. Unfortunately there is again just the one negative thing I experience and that is that the players get knackered (especially the full backs). I have tried dropping the mentality and closing down settings but the players (and again it seems to be the full backs more than other positions) are still covering more km/miles than with other tactics. My guess is that is the only reason the players get so tired and it's proven by looking at the end of game match stats as my team has always ran more km/miles than the opposition.

Any tips on how to overcome this? If you're still experiencing the same problem, then I'd be happy to road test some methods of trying to crack this nut.

Yeah i experience the same but i love how the fullbacks attack so much so i have made sure i have two good RB's and two good LB's and rotate them as much as poss. Also i nearly always look at subbing them come 75mins so i have 2 fresh fullbacks on to end the game.

This is the Dominance tactic from FM10 I'm talking about, not the one from this thread. The Dominance tactic works perfectly without any changes between FM10 and FM11.

I'm glad it's working out i'm working on it even more too.

Try taking the strikers off Tight Marking that will help them get in behind the fullbacks even more.

Thanks for that it has worked a treat, i also did one tweak and pulled the middle striker back to the amc position so it became a 4-1-2-1-2 and moved his cf back to normal to match his mentality setting to try and get the passing and possession stats up a bit and it worked i was up around 50% i no its not much but i was sitting at about 40 for both, i didnt have any effect on the other parts of the tactic, hope the testing is going well look forward to what you come up with, here are a couple of screenies.yeovilvcarlislesplitvie.png

There were several Dominance tactics for 10.2. Of which are you talking about? Thanks mate.

the tactic is simply brilliant, the best i used

finished the first season with sporting gijon on 4th place and won the spanish cup against real madrid media prediction 15, without major transfers. Used all the instructions given by mr Hough the only thing different is that i set the match preparation on defensive positioning.

here are some screenshots

Despite applying the tweaks i still feel my strikers do not convert as many chances as they should. Last match i had 7 CCC's and only 2 goals scored. Mind you that i have tevez , aguero and hulk as my front 3.

Since those strikers are very creative i dont think its a good idea to lower CF on them, perhaps with low creative strikers its ok to do so but not with those 3. Anyone got any advice?

Ok, first of all english is not my first language. I have made my own version of Mr Houghs tactic and i think it is amazing. I think i have found a good balance between off and def. It would be great if you would test it and give feedback. I have only tested it with Man U so far but i feel that this tactic got great potential. I have not even played a whole season but i thought i would share it and if you like you can test it. One of the reasons i made this tactic was beacuse i like to have wingers so it is 442/4222 similar to Mr Hough 11.1 tactic but without 2 DM. Some results that i have got:

http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/1379/manuvsastonvilla.png

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/916/manuvsbirmingham.png

It is important that you let your Ass Manager do the OI and always have team blend on average even when it is fluid and your left CB must be the beter header.

I hope you like it and that it is not a problem with you Mr Hough. I just want to contribute with this tactic and maybe it will help you to create the optimal tactic for FM 2011 like you did for FM 2010 i think you are very close. The striker settings you have is absolutley amzing.

Edit: I have delited the tactic. I should have tested it more. It is not as god as i thougt. I will try to tweak and se if i can improve.

Very impressive results with this tac...... 1 point I get a lot of yellow and red cards.

I am thrilled to announce that the tweaked tactics fecking rulez. After a second first half of season of misery in Blue Square Premiership with a young inexperienced side on a losing run, Mr Hough's tactic (tweaked) has won the day saving me from the sack and leading towards a respectable league position mid-season.

Happy days ! :D

Mr Hough- I honestly think tweaking your 10.3 winger tactic is the way to go. Im in 2016 with Sunderland and switched over to your latest tactic last season with great success. But it wasnt a true test of the tactic as my squad was so strong. I started off with the winger tactic and won the league and league cup in my first season. Since then Ive won the leauge another three times, the Champions League (and have lost in the final twice), the league cup three times, plus the Super Cup and the World Club Championship. In my second season I beat Man U 9-0 (posted a screenshot at the time). The reason that Im posting this is because it was done with an un-tweaked version. I think if you tweaked this for FM11 you could make a true monster.

Hooligan

Honestly i have not played very seriously so i use a lot of rotation i just work to find a good tactic at the moment. With the last tactic(Man U) i like to play with:

VDS

W.Brown-Ferdinand-Vidic-Evra

Hargreawes

Carrick-Fletcher

Nani-Giggs

Rooney

You need midfilders that can win the ball but Scholes have also played well as a midfielder. I will do futher testing and se. The left CB should be your best header. And wingers with good finishing is a plus. I would recomend to use same typof players that Mr Hough recomend.

Haha ok i will upload but seriously warning i have only played 3 games with Man U! I hope it will work and it would be great with feedback and if you tested it with lower league teams. It will be intresting to se how it preforms for you.

1. Always use Team blend even when it is fluid

2. Let you A.Manager do the OI

3. Left foot right corner...right on left

Edit nr 2: I use Minimum pitch size.

What sort of players do people use in this tactic? I've been using it as Everton with reasonable success, 6th in the Premier League after 30 games or so. It's certainly very solid, my heaviest defeat was 2-0 at Chelsea and Man United with players sent off in the first half of both games. But it seems a tactic where very few of the players get good ratings unless the team destroys the opposition, (Rating by association I call it).

The two central midfielders seem to cause me problems. I have tried the likes of Rodwell (Average rating as a CM in the tactic 6.09) Arteta (Average rating as a CM in this tactic 6.12), Osman (Average rating in this tactic 6.21), Fellaini (Average rating in this tactic 6.81) and Heitinga (Average rating 5.90). I have given each of them a good 15 or so games in the position and unless we won by 3 or 4 there would never be a 7 scored. Not a single goal between them either. In fact after 30 games the only players who have scored are the strikers and the right centre back, none from anywhere else.

Am I missing something as the success you guys seem to be having is way beyond what I'm getting. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, but such posts make me laugh. With Inter any tactic will do great. Anyone tested it with let's say Stafford Rangers? Accarington Stanley? Not only big clubs which can buy players needed?

I would test it, but cba at the moment :0. Don't take it as personal attack though, as I know last year MrH produced amazing tactic (which still works on FM11 without tweaking :D).

Try telling Rafa Benitez that ..... ive tried it with celtic decent club, won league and league cup got to quater final in the Euro cup only dude i got transfer wise was garry o'conner, good tactic though

Is this tactic just a attack on a weak link in the game, having 3 strikers up front is not realistic, and is kind of a cheat,be interested to see if this works with all teams and not just the cream of europe, I personally like to make tactics around past and present teams have used my current one i am working on is a 4-2-2-2box tactic.

This tac is better than the remix tac with the 2 strikers?

Wijnand fens

I dont know honestly beacuse i have not tested them for a long period but i think that this is better in deff and therfore can be better for diffrent types of teams. I think that some people are trying the new tactic now and i will wait for feedback. I am trying it with Stoke now. Will post screens later.
