Suge
Just curious really. I usually select high league and cup bonuses although when I want to concentrate solely on the league I go for a normal cup bonus.
edgar555
Just curious really. I usually select high league and cup bonuses although when I want to concentrate solely on the league I go for a normal cup bonus. I always just choose high for all comps! Seems to be working for me so far.
Cougar2010
Just curious really. I usually select high league and cup bonuses although when I want to concentrate solely on the league I go for a normal cup bonus. I did yesterday for the cup competition but we had just been knocked out in the preliminary round :o
Ty
Put all high and it gives most of all your players a massive morale boost and fires them up.
Gandy
Put all high and it gives most of all your players a massive morale boost and fires them up. It lasts throughout the season to.
Tommy Boy
Seems a lot of players are motivated by financial gain. How unrealistic...
Elrithral
I select low for cup, medium for league and high for Europe.
swed151
I use low or medium because I'm trying to save money to build up training and youth facilities. Can't afford high competition payouts at the moment.
PGB_SPURS_FM09
The last time i chose low it meant about 4 or 5 players were constantly with poor morale and PR next to them for the whojle seaosn. Bit unrealistic as it was impossible to get their morale past okay for the whole season, don't think it would effect them that badly Guess i won't be choosing that one again! sam@ashbyz
I chose low bonus for the league this season (financial reasons ) and have been feeling the consequences. I've been deep in the relegation mire for much of the season (with good results oddly peppered throughout... ), with about 1/4 of my side seriously annoyed with me for being so frugal. We've got no money! Interestingly, this includes one 18yo winger who I got on a free, has played about one game all season, and is not likely to break into the squad for a couple of years at least, if ever. Just wondering whether the amount of games a player is likely to play should affect the amount they are annoyed considering its on a 'pro-rata basis', so he would have got pennies anyway

simon07
My friend did chose low bonus after ten consectutive league titles. He then finished 3rd the season after, and he thinks it was because of this low bonus system.
dburns647
no never as players get motivated when there is a high competition bonus and they stay motivated throughout the whole season
Brian Shanahan
I usually pick low with domestic cups, as if I am a European team I don't want the added hassle, and even go so far to use it as a youth back-up exclusive area, and if I am a relegation chaser or a promotion hunter I want to give higher priority to the league. The only area where I'll give a high priority to a cup is if I am not in Europe and am looking to get there, a cup win is always good in that case. League and Europe will always be high for me. Edle
I just go with "normal". Suits me fine.
AMS
Depends what my aims are. If I'm building a team up, then I'll set high for the league and low for cups, but once I'm established as a top team, its high for all. Got to be better for motivation surely. phnompenhandy
I'm managing in the lower leagues where money is tight, but I'm favourite for promotion with a strong squad. Therefore, I select high for the cup which I have no chance of winning but could get a money-spinning tie, and low for the league.
IMT
I select low for cup, medium for league and high for Europe. Are you Rafa Benitez ;~) although even that hasn't worked for him this season
