    If you go to tactics and click on the down arrow next to "quick pick" in the top right hand corner you can then go to Manage>>Save Team Selection and then save different team selections. So you can have one selection named 4 2 3 1 and another named 4 4 2. I use this to save my first choice squad and second choice squad.

    When you go to Tactics>>Set Pieces>>Penalties you can highlight all the players in the left panel sorted, according to their ability, and drag them all over to the right hand panel

    I change very little. I normally line up with a conventional 4 3 3 so I pull my two wide AMs back to WMs with as similar roles as possible and maybe drop the mentality one one notch. If I’m winning and my players are doing well why change anything dramatically.

    Possibly a silly question but when you go to Staff>>Responsibilities>>Transfers and Contracts under the second tab "Contracts" are the three options for Player Contract Discussions all assigned to you?

    I criticise poor training every week but I only praise training once a month which I do at the beginning of each month. I prefer only to praise for a performance of 8.0 or higher but at the beginning of the season when nobody ,or virtually nobody, is hitting 8.0 I praise for 7.6 and higher. This works fine for me although I occasionally have a youngster tell me that I'm criticising him too often which I interpret as an indication of a poor personality and he's immediately on the unwanted list.

    I have fm on both my desktop and laptop and use a USB flash drive to move the save game files between the two machines.

    I have a first and second selection covering each position in my first friendly play the first selection for 60 minutes and then substitute the whole team for the second selection. In the second friendly I start with the second selection and at 60 minutes substitute the whole team for the first selection. Then keep on alternating the selections for however many friendlies there are. This works for me.

    Thanks for that. It certainly needs the "start.ivf" file because without that I just got a blank screen. However, with only the "start.ivf" file the game never loaded after a couple of minutes. I then tried it with "start.ivf" file plus each of the other files in turn, The only combination that worked was "start.ivf" together with "loading_wait.ivf". This combination took 1 minute and 7 seconds to load which is exactly the same time that it took with all of the files loaded

    Doesn't work for me ... without all the contents in the movies folder the game doesn't load at all.

    The Bundesliga for sure. The rules for non EU players in Italy are very restrictive and nobody really understands them.

    A very interesting read I remember being inspired by your original article. One thing that does stand out to me is the high number of TIs that you are using in this new tactic. I remember that in your original "art of" series you used minimal TIs.
