Tre Fiori were a tough team to topple but we got there in the end. Only 3 points seperated us. It was very close. Eric Fedeli was again our star man with 23 goals for the season. The Italian Harry Kane I call him. I just wish he was a bit younger. Best Overall 11 Player Accolades Our supporters improved in the Core section but dropped in the Family section. The Regista Posted November 21, 2022 Share Posted November 21, 2022 So first session done with Libertas, only a month in but it's been fruitful Originally I set out to play a 4-2-2-2 system aiming for crosses into the box, fairly narrow with wingers and overlapping full backs, but I've recently switched to one of my attempts at Gegenpressing in the Fiorentino game and haven't looked back. Just before we played them, La Fiorita were top of the division. A penalty from Mario Barone (player of the month for sure) was the difference maker in the last game. We then managed to squeek out a 0-0 and getting through to the next round. I am buzzing. Unfortunately we have got Partizan Belgrade in the next qualifying round. We now have to play Luxemborg side F91 Dudelange in the Europa League qualifying round. Hopefully we can somehow get into the Europa League group stages now. We have made some decent money qualifying. We now have £4.7m in the bank. I asked the board to turn us profressional and the board accepted. Roll on June 2026. I am off to bed now. Watson156 Posted November 22, 2022 Share Posted November 22, 2022 Season 2 | 2023/24 Won the league very easily again. Quite annoyed that we couldn't go unbeaten this year. Same again next year! Completed the double and won the cup. Once again the kid was great. Hopefully another good European run and turning professional means that he can stay here forever! Had a better year that last. Formed a really great partnership up front. After losing my first choice right back we struggled until we found Signorelli. After retraining him to play RWB he has made that spot his. I suspect that we will lose him soon. Somehow he was reccomended to us late last season. It took him a while to retrain to LWB but once he did, he has been fantastic. Don't know how he is still here to be honest! Terrible. Out of the 16 I only signed 2. 1 of them was a Model Citizen so we'll see if he turns into something. This is probably to be expected until we can turn professional. Onto next season and the Champions League. National Team Update Horrible. We had a tough Euro Qualifiers Group, and as expected we lost all 10 games. The good news is that we scored 7 goals. The bad news is that we conceded 48! We've just had our group for the Nations League and were in a group with Azerbaijan (130th) & Liechtenstein (202nd). Fmfan00 Posted November 22, 2022 Share Posted November 22, 2022 I thought I would go a different route with this challenge… with my San Marino team what I am going to do is because we can only have so many Forgein players the only ones I can bring 8n besides the only already at the club are from my home land in Canada.. so if that be from free transfers or from the 3 mls academy’s those are the only ones I can bring in besides San Marino players.. that way I can build up Canada talent and San Marino talent at same time.. The Regista Posted November 22, 2022 Share Posted November 22, 2022 We've started to open up a bit of a lead in the league at the moment. Randomly, my defensive midfielder is top scorer. Primarily through penalties, Barone has a tendency to score a screamer/edge of the area shot. This is my attempt at a Gegenpress. Seems to be effective at the moment. I think largely because keepers in this league aren't great. Admittedly, my team is full of Italians rather than many San Marino players. I want us to dominate domestically while we try to do better in Europe. Players Eric Fedeli Another great season for Fedeli who is only 1 and half stars now but still bangs in the goals with 25 for the season. We want to help improve the league. FC Domagnano also move up 158 places to 340th in the European club rankings. Our european run was a bit underwhelming but not unexpected we dropped in first round against Alashkert from Armenia with 2:3 a last seond goal killed us but with this out of the way we had a blast in the league and won 9 of the first 10 matches. Out best goalscorrer will leave us in summer so i need to replace him. But my best assisting player will stay... i hope Then we have our most featured San Marinese players. I hope Michelotti will stay for a few seasons Speaking of players who are staying or leaving... Wild as always Finishing with the national team who played a horrible qualification campaign... I scheduled some friendlies just to se how far off we are compared to other nations and yeah we are off by far But there were some good news.
