i began the save with 2 matches of 4 in the Nations League already played

the Defeat against Kazakhistan was a surprise, since we had a chance to take the draw until the last 30 minutes (we collapsed)

meanwhile the match with Malta was a HUGE SUCCESS since we got a draw, but by seeing the statistics, we played better and deserved the first victory in an official competition 

now it's time for the European Championship Qualifications  (we got a hard group)

you manage to take a draw with the national team? nice... i played 3-4 against Moldova and 2-4 against Latvia... but thanks to my 4-1-1-3-1 Nicolo Nanni is on 4 goals for San Marino

Mini Update

Currently 5th in the league after 22 games played. Won 10, drawn 3 and lost 9 games.

Eric Fedeli is my star striker with 21 goals in 21 games so far.

He is eligable to play for San Marino but I can't seem to call him up to the National team just yet.

I have also managed to get the board to upgrade the youth recruitment from Limited to Basic.

I have also just signed this great young Italian midfielder who is way too good for the San Marino team.

Looks decent and someone who I can build my team around. 

Only 15 years old as well so plenty of time to get better.

FC Domagnano Season 1 Review

A nice 5th place finish and also European qualification after winning the play offs.

Eric Fedeli was my best player with 29 goals for the season from 31 games. 

Fedeli also broke a league goalscoring record.

Overall Best 11

Simone Pippi was also outstanding with 18 assists and 11 goals. He also won the Player and Young Player of the season. 

My fanbase has dropped in Hardcore and Core but gained in Family and Fair Weather. We also got 57 more followers on our social media lol.

We now own our stadium as well which is good.

I am not doing well with San Marino with 0 wins and only 1 draw.

I am hoping next season to try challenge for the title and do well in the Europa Conference league.

A tough start on my European journey.

So it begins. I've gone for Fiorentino and Victor San Marino. My plan is to get Victor into Serie A and build up the youth facilities on the way, while also helping to improve the quality of the domestic league with Fiorentino. I'm still undecided whether to add a manager for the national team or see if I can get the job naturally. I'll wait a season or two to make a decision. Looking forward to trying the low block this year, they look more effective than they have ever been.

I've set up my save to be as realistic as possible. I've loaded at least the top division in every league and added in a lot of players. Hopefully this won't slow the game too much, I'll see how it goes and remove some leagues later if it becomes a problem. I've also disabled the first transfer window, and player attribute masking is on. I'll be back with a mid season update when hopefully I'll be bringing some players in.

So Tre Fiori has two chances to choke the league - we made to many easy errors in the early stages in the league no wonder my team is 19.9 years on average

MURATA - Season 2022/23

Very strange season. Scored bags of goals but couldn't stop conceding either. Somehow managed to win the playoffs putting me into the Conference League qualifying. Financially the club is a bit of a mess, £45k in the red so unable to improve any facilities or youth recruitment. However I did have a fairly good looking youth intake, forgot to screenshot the news item but here's the U19 squad.

In terms of the first team squad, there was three clear key players.

I really hate that I found this challenge. I had a great save going with Venezia, and then ever since reading this I cant stop thinking about trying this save!! Of course the real game last night with St Lucia also helped convice me to start this challenge. So here I am! I'm managing  Virtus & San Marino National Team. I didn't look at the team before taking over, and the main reason for taking over Virtus was that I was able to please my OCD buy finding a good size background of the stadium, and the kits from last year are the same colours!

I loaded up the top league of England, France, Germany, Spain & USA, while loading Serie D and up in Italy. In the past i've seen some San Marino youth players coming through the MLS academies and I'm hoping that will continue in this save. 

Very early observations are that I didn't realise how badly I needed a reserve/under 18's squad just to store some players! I've signed a total of 19 players so far, with a lot of them being young San Marino prospects that I want to try and train, and to also keep an eye on. I'm still hoping to add another 3 or 4 players both in defense and midfield. Out of interest what are people willing to pay in appearance fees? I haven't signed anybody with one yet, but a great Spanish midfielder wants at least £150 per appearance. Is it worth signing him and risk going into debt, but hopefully qualifying for Europe?

Anyway im looking forward to this save no matter how hard its going to be. Oh. and this wasn't a bad first game for me or my young regen striker that I found.

Oh, and the yellow card rules/suspensions are brutal.

My first Season is done and there was more light than shadow. More chaos then ever on the Transfermaked. And suffering for the National side

We start with the final leaguetable with us on second and participating in the ECL next season due to the won penaltyshootout in the playoff final

I started recruiting free agents suggested by my DoF - but most of the took us as a springboard out of the league in months so we dont realy know what cohesion is - but this is fine beeing an semiproteam on the rise. You see there was a constant stream of players coming in and going out - hopefully we can stabilise soon

Next we will take a look at some of my better players - i wanted to show you my best striker but he left after almost 6 months so i put his replacement in here - who will leave after the season. Both score a fair amount of goals at least.

Coming up the two players who featured as the ONE san marinese player i had to have on the pitch. Both hat some influence as our wings but the other guys were much better.

We continue with our youth intake wich was underwhelming but i will sign a few to have some homegrown players

Our results were better when the saison took on but seeing my defenders was some sort of a nightmare. So many errors on first touch etc... Cupwise we reached the semifinal but yeah the performance was rather poor

And in the end my run with the nationalteam - at least we score some goals. My qualifiergroup is a bit scary but maybe the next Nationsleague will bring so points.

This was my first year and also my first time taking part in a challenge here on the forum. I hope you can at least understand my german screenshots but the attributes are sorted like in the english version and the symbols are the same. I hope this post wasnt to long. END of SEASON 1 2022/23

The end of the season didn't end well as i was hoping based on how good we were doing mid-season, but in the end here is the final results

TRE FIORI was able to win the title in the last match, it was a 3-team title run, we were 1 of them but weren't able to keep up with TRE FIORI & TRE PENNE and ended in the European Play-Off

Quarter Final = vs MURATA 1 - 1  /  2 - 0

Semifinal = vs VIRTUS 1 - 1  /  0 - 1

the supporters raised a little

the good news was that we were able to get a second Coaching Badge course

and here are our first YOUTH INTAKES REPORT

+ the best youngest of Season 2022/23 of the entire San Marino, from LA FIORITA

ps: i was able to get him at the beginning of Season 2

Europa Conference League Journey So Far

I faced FK Qabala in the Europa Conference League qualification and after losing the away leg 2-0 we managed to win 2-0 in the home leg and then beat them on penalties.

 

A great day in the history of the club. 

A nice bit of money coming in as well with us getting £86k which is more then I had in the bank.

We have Slovakian side FC Spartak Trnava next. 

I don't fancy our chances but I thought the same against FK Qabala.

European Dream Ends

It isn't all bad news as my finances are really good now with us having £569k in the bank now.

Hopefully I can use that to improve facilities and coaching while I also try to mount a title challenge.

They are a good team to raid for good young players by the way. 

I have gone for 3-4 of their best players who are willing to join and shortlisted a few that aint interested.

They play in the Italian lower leagues.

A couple of years ago, I did a similar challenge with Wales & Colwyn Bay with the pinnacle being losing 2 Europa League finals in a row before deciding I couldn't take the team any further and resigning. What is the best way to be able to play with Victor San Marino in Serie D? Is it to just holiday for a year until they get promoted?

Hi mate I think this is a bug. As it’s 15 years living in SM for citizenship. The database is correct as I checked it after the bug so no idea what causes it!

Yeah mate they are the feeder team for Victor San Marino. 

Bear in mind if it’s still the same this season then U-18 players from Italy cannot move to a SM team until the window AFTER they turn 18. 
 

at least that’s how it worked last year.

Also a little tip for those spending money before your club is Professional - it might be a good idea to prioritise professional status? 
 

that way you can sign players to term contracts (2 years max in SM I think) but at least it lessens the chance of losing good players for free. It also means your players can train full time which will help them improve  

 

IIRC you need around £2m+ in the bank for the board to agree to turn professional.

I’m not sure if restarting will even sort or matey. It happened a bit during testing. 
 

I doubt it’ll happen when the VSM team goes up the leagues plus it’s easily ignored if you don’t select any of the players.

What is your tactic for your teams? You handcrafted one or took inspiration from the workshop?

We play in a offensive 4-1-1-3-1 with to supporting Wingbacks to overlap on the wings to give us more attacking width. Both Wingers are inside forwards to give us the numbers in the box. My striker needs to be a fast, or at least faster one for some deep runs. And for the middle of the park we have a ball winnign deffensive midfielder with a box-to-box one infrnot of him to connect the front and the back half of the team. For some "flair" we have an advanced playmaker as a true #10.

I came up last FM with this tactic and it worked on allmost every level for me. The deffence could be a bit better but the scorring output is massive and keeps everything positive.

Can somebody give me advise how i can get players back because most of them don't want to play for us or the amount for a match is to high.

If i offer a amount for a match to play they can still go to another club.

if i need a new player or a replacemnt cause someone is leaving i ask my director of football to suggest me a free agent for this position and i rial them for 2 or 3 weeks and then i sign the one who fits best

Transfers>DoF>suggestions>choose free/position and go for them all

until your team is a professional one there will be allways an ongoing stream of players coming in or leaving your club... for my players i pay them around 45 up to 130 for a single match so you dont need to buy any player... just ask your director of football for players and ignore your scouts cause you dont need them at this point - keep hold to all the cash you got and try to turn professional asap

Well....something is definitely off here.  Just restarted a fresh save, and haven't gone more than 3 days before I start getting a rash of "player x now sammarinese citizen" messages (5 of them in first 3 days).  Not sure what to do at this point.... restart as one of the teams in the San Marino league, press on as is, or wait and try to figure out what's going on here.

 

 

I just took a look at the game editor of the 7 that have claimed sammarinese citizenship, and not one of them start with more than 3 years of the 15 required for citizenship at the game startup.  Something definitely up with the Victor San Marino save in Italian Serie D database.  Going to give it a go with the San Marino league instead I think.

I've finished the league season, and will do a write up later on, but there's something that might be a problem for me.

Obviously we didn't have a youth team (none of the San Marino teams do) but I was hoping that once the first intake came through the game would create one. Can anybody tell me how long it will take to get a youth team, or am i going to have to have 49 people in my first team for ever/until we go professional?

I'd love to play this challenge but as I didn't purchase the game on Steam there is no way for me to download Mods from the Steam Workshop.
