Popular Post dafuge
This was the club I was hoping for with FM19, after a break of around 18 months I'm hoping I will be able to take this club on to great things. Here I am, with a distinct lack of qualifications. We've got a nice blue home kit (of course) with a tribute to the key workers on the front. The facilities are pretty basic, as to be expected. We barely have any players, which might be a good thing as I look to rebuild for the first season.

dafuge
Met Police - Vanarama National League South - 2021/22 Our media prediction was to finish 23rd, so this wasn't going to be an easy season. League Table - we started brilliantly but just couldn't keep it up as we slid down the league. FA Trophy - just the one match where I rotated the side a bit. FA Cup - we had a decent run but came up short against league opposition. Squad (sorry I don't have this screenshot) - we've got a few decent players but our squad is very thin on talent. Transfers - the early transfers turned out to pretty poor, but we needed numbers badly. Finances - not great, I've gone over budget which might cause problems next season. Key Player Profiles: Jack Mazzone - our top scorer was a player already at the club. Camron McWilliams - one of our best players, but he's not interested in staying for next season. Ollie Robinson - our club captain. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th Next Season: Promotion seems a long way off at the moment, so a top half finish next season would be decent.

dafuge
Met Police - Vanarama National League South - 2022/23 Our first season was unspectacular and with a growing debt it looked like we were in for another tough year. League Table - we lost a lot of games but no other team really made a challenge for the title. FA Trophy - we had a couple of good wins but lost out to the National side. FA Cup - the finances from this saved our season, even without a big money making tie. Squad - I kept a smaller squad this time to try and keep everyone happy. Transfers - the standard of players this season was so much better than last, and cheaper too. Finances - we cleared the debt, but we'll have the same issue next season. Key Player Profiles: Tristan Abldeen-Goodridge - easily our best player, although he didn't score quite as many as Mazzone last season. Jake Askew - it made a big difference having a decent goalie. Matthew Carson - one of a few players who I'm keeping for next season. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th 2022/23 National League South 1st Promoted as champions Next Season: I've no idea how we will do next season, it may depend on the players I can sign.

dafuge
Met Police - Vanarama National League - 2023/24 After our surprisingly unspectacular league win, we were prepared for a tough season in the new division. League Table - we were just far too inconsistent, drawing too many games we should have won. FA Trophy - just the one game, it did not go well. FA Cup - no bug cup run as we met league opposition early on. Squad - I've released a few players during the season, so these are mostly the players I'm expecting to use next season. Transfers - some great signings, hopefully we can build on this next season. Finances - we had a £120k bail out from the board. Key Player Profiles: Tristan Abldeen-Goodridge - top scorer again as he looked even better than last season. Arismar - I love having a Brazilian at this level. Rhys Brailsford - a quality full back for this level. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th 2022/23 National League South 1st Promoted as champions 2023/24 National League 14th Next Season: With a few new signings I think we can push for a top half finish.

dafuge
Met Police - Vanarama National League - 2024/25 We finished 14th last season, so this time we were hoping for a top half finish. League Table - we made it to the playoffs with a game to go. Playoffs - not the result we were looking for. FA Trophy - we lost to a lower league team. FA Cup - we faced my local team in the 3rd round, and came close to a huge upset. Squad - I tried keeping a smaller squad this year, which resulted in a lot of tired players. Transfers - we made some great signings and sold our goalie for a huge fee. Finances - I've requested that the money is spent on new facilities, so hopefully they go ahead soon. Key Player Profiles: Tristan Abldeen-Goodridge - top scorer again, but he's no longer our outstanding player. Kwaku Oduroh - an amazing signing. Mike Hodgson - a decent winger for this level. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th 2022/23 National League South 1st Promoted as champions 2023/24 National League 14th 2024/25 National League 7th Next Season: I'm hoping the improved finances will give us a chance to strengthen the squad and at least make the playoffs again.

dafuge
Met Police - Vanarama National League - 2025/26 We lost out in the playoffs last season so I was hoping we would be able to go one better this time. League Table - we topped the table for most of the season before collapsing due to tired players. Playoffs - we got really lucky as Aldershot had two players sent off in extra time but we saved our best for the final. FA Trophy - we gave this a go this time, but it turned out to be a big mistake as our squad just couldn't cope with the fixtures. FA Cup - we beat Premier League West Ham 3-0! Squad - I probably should have signed a few more players, but at least it was easy to keep everyone happy. Transfers - a small number of quality signings. Finances - the FA Cup run has put us in a great position. Key Player Profiles: Oscar Thorn - far too good for this level, this was a massive signing. Sonny Hilton - one of our two great midfielders. Kwaku Oduroh - a quality defender. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th 2022/23 National League South 1st Promoted as champions 2023/24 National League 14th 2024/25 National League 7th 2025/26 National League 2nd Promoted via playoffs Next Season: We are turning professional soon now we have reached the Football League, so next season should be interesting.

dafuge
Met Police - Sky Bet League Two - 2026/27 We should have won the league last season, so I was confident we had enough to do reasonably well in this league. League Table - we were top for the first six games, but then fell away as the season went on. We snatched a playoff spot on the final day of the season. Playoffs - we deserved the win, but we left in very late in the final. League Cup - we knocked out Championship Cardiff but came up short against Premier League Villa. FA Cup - we were denied a good cup run by Championship Middlesbrough. Squad - this is a great squad for League Two, I'm not so sure about League One. Transfers - I splashed out on two late signings that seemed to make a big difference. Finances - we had lost about half of our cash before the playoff final restored our decent finances. Key Player Profiles: Oscar Thorn - still outstanding. Antef Tsoungui - one of the late signings is our most valuable player. Owen Hesketh - a big upgrade on a position that was already strong. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th 2022/23 National League South 1st Promoted as champions 2023/24 National League 14th 2024/25 National League 7th 2025/26 National League 2nd Promoted via playoffs 2026/27 League Two 7th Promoted via playoffs Next Season: I was getting the squad ready for another season in League Two, so I might have to offload a few contracted players to make space to improve the squad.

dafuge
Met Police - Sky Bet League One - 2027/28 Two successive promotions have put us in a position we were not really ready for, this season was all about survival. League Table - we made a late surge to make the playoffs. Playoffs - we lost out in the semis in the worst possible way. EFL Trophy - the reserves had a great run, but it ended in heart-breaking fashion. League Cup - we lost to lower league opposition in our first match. FA Cup - the Premier league team was too much for us. Squad - this squad is decent for this division. Transfers - the usual free transfers. Finances - we are in a bit of trouble. Key Player Profiles: Oscar Thorn - top scorer again, but he's found his level. Josh Thomas - we broke the bank to sign this forward. Anesu Crowther - another big money signing. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th 2022/23 National League South 1st Promoted as champions 2023/24 National League 14th 2024/25 National League 7th 2025/26 National League 2nd Promoted via playoffs 2026/27 League Two 7th Promoted via playoffs 2027/28 League One 6th Next Season: We've got a decent squad, but the finances are a worry. If I can afford it, a couple of key signings could be enough to challenge for the title next season.
dafuge
Met Police - Sky Bet League One - 2028/29 A 92nd minute goal knocked us out of the playoffs last season, so this time we were looking for revenge. League Table - we just got better and better as the season progressed, winning the title with a game to go. EFL Trophy - this result was a shock, even with our reserves playing. League Cup - we took a Premier League team to penalties, but lost yet again. FA Cup - we got our revenge over WBA to set up a dream match against Liverpool, just a shame it was at home. Squad - I'd imagine a lot of this squad will still be here for next season. Transfers - the board sold my left back, but it was a pretty good deal. Finances - even with the player sold and the board putting in £500k, we are still in a bit of trouble. Key Player Profiles: Oscar Thorn - his place was under threat this season but he responded in great fashion. Gary Ridgewell - a quality player, but he suffered a nasty injury in our title winning match. Josh Thomas - finally I've found someone who is effective as a supporting striker. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th 2022/23 National League South 1st Promoted as champions 2023/24 National League 14th 2024/25 National League 7th 2025/26 National League 2nd Promoted via playoffs 2026/27 League Two 7th Promoted via playoffs 2027/28 League One 6th 2028/29 League One 1st Promoted as champions Next Season: I suspect next season is going to be a tough one as we will struggle to compete financially with the bigger clubs.

dafuge
Met Police - Sky Bet Championship - 2029/30 Two promotions in three years has put us up with a lot of big clubs, the big worry was that our finances just wouldn't allow us to compete with them. League Table - we were top for a while but injuries played a part in our loss of form, we had a chance to take the title on the final day but an 82rd minute Palace goal sealed it for them instead. League Cup - just the one match as it didn't end well. FA Cup - an amazing win over Forest set up the money spinner against United. Squad - I'm not really sure how many of these will be good enough, so there could be a major rebuild on the way. Transfers - still just free transfers, but European scouting allowed us to sign some good foreigners. Finances - the United game eliminated our financial worries. Key Player Profiles: Álex Domínguez - the new main striker. Önder Çetin - we were lucky to get him, just as the transfer window ended. Oscar Thorn - he's a club legend now. Career Overview: Season League Position Achievements ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2021/22 National League South 14th 2022/23 National League South 1st Promoted as champions 2023/24 National League 14th 2024/25 National League 7th 2025/26 National League 2nd Promoted via playoffs 2026/27 League Two 7th Promoted via playoffs 2027/28 League One 6th 2028/29 League One 1st Promoted as champions 2029/30 Championship 2nd Promoted Next Season: Survival is all I'm after, there's no way we are going to jump straight to the top of the league like we have for the last few years.
