Nice quick rise so far.

Cheers! Aye, the first season FA Trophy run and this seasons FA Cup run have really set us up very well.

May was finished up, few irrelevant wins, picked up one more kid for the coming season. A season we must do well in, as the board demand a playoff appearance, and we're evens to win the National League North(along with three other clubs).

Just as an aside, I spotted this kid at FC Romania from their last intake.

So, another long summer down, not 100% happy with the business as some downright average players turned us down.
On the flip side, some great players did join and I finally let McCready go(could have used him in hindsight) for an all Welsh team now.
Still, we have more than enough to take this league, with a board expectation of a playoff finish, odds of finishing third and evens for winning the league. So thankfully we started off on real fire.

The star of the latest intake, goalie Rob Rees has usurped winger Charlie Williams as the clubs rated hottest prospect. He's been first choice between the sticks since the intake and is growing very well. As he looks like being our keeper for a long time, I thought it'd be a bit fun to try a bit of the @Jimbokav1971 style, and have set him to take penos and direct free kicks. Picked up his first goal in the last game of the month.

Kind of bizarre form, smashing teams despite no clean sheets when our defence is our strongest area and the keeper has got great ratings so far.

Fair few brought in, but a massive list of players released. I could have released a good few more, but I kept a handful around for squad personality reasons.

Christie-Davies is our star man now, I was hoping he'd be an inside forward on the left wing, but I didn't find a player to play in an attacking CM role, which is what he's doing for now.

Reid is our left winger instead, playing as an inside forward despite being left footed, and to be fair is absolutely killing it with 3 goals and 4 assists already.

Wynne was brought in on loan mainly because despite good form, Mansell seems to be fairly consistently degrading in attributes.

Davidson was a massive outlay for us, especially as we're still semi-pro, but it was either pay the price, or not get a left back at all, and he was much needed. I'd have preferred to buy Cooper too, as he looks the business, but Accrington wanted the bones of 400k for him. I had the budget, barely, but it would have cleaned out over half our balance, and was way too much to be spending.

Well, it's been a bit of a month! Beat a pair of League One sides, but both are sure fire relegations in waiting, so morale, form, etc, is low with them and all that. Into the 3rd round and we've an away draw to a Premiership club again! Sadly not a real moneyspinner like Liverpool, but Burnley. Also, after facing Chesterfield twice in the FA Cup, we now have to play them in the Trophy.

First job offer came in, Ipswich rooted to the bottom of the Championship. Obviously no intention of leaving, but went in an effort to get Colwyn's board to offer me a contract extension. Which they did.

Starting to get call ups to the Welsh U-19's too, a great sign.

Lastly, star CB Dunham has the hump because I rejected a transfer offer from Billericay Town. Off to the U-18's he went, oh well.

January's done, just like we were in the cups. Oh well. Managed to keep hold of most of my squad, backup keeper went to Gillingham, but whatever. On the upside, Denham calmed himself down after Billericay signed a different CB, and signed a new long term deal.

Smashing it as usual mate, KUTGW!

Good job at getting that contract extension following Ipswich's offer, never thought of that and I might try it myself on my save :D

Cheers!

Got to add in a "contract extension after promotion" clause too, so it'll be another year longer.

Youth Intake's popped up, and it's a golden generation, but without a 5* prospect. This crew of young warriors is either being underrated by my assistant, or overrated by the HOYD.

Done for another season! Gateshead game sealed the title, so I gave more of the new youth a runout. Might chuck some of them into the senior side as backups next season.

Charlie Williams was absolutely bonkers, finished with 15 goals and 37(!!!) assists!

Another summer past, and a bit of a weird one. Thought I'd get new strikers in, so let my current ones go, ending up without replacing them(the ones I wanted changed their mind to uninterested once released from their clubs, or went on loan to other clubs)...
I was concerned until loanee Tom Gibson started scoring like Aubameyang on the hippy crack...
Board want midtable, media expectation is 2nd, and oddly, fellow promoted side Billericay are expected to win the thing.

EDIT: Denham's got the hump again, this time over defensive depth. I mean, it isn't great, but it's plenty for non-league. Of course, he's been dropped to the U-18's so it's worse than it was when he complained.

Murderous form! No idea how Gibson is scoring like this.

So much for Billericay's expectations, early signs not good.

Not crazy business, by my standards.

Evans is a massive coup, he's ready for league football right now.

Williams has consistently amazed for us, and is already a club legend.

This was neat though, our Chief Scout instantly dropped a suggestion for a replacement in the inbox.

Finished the month, great stuff on pitch, and drew Leicester in the cup, was fairly desperate for one of the real big teams as our money's getting low, but beggars can't be choosers.
Not sure how we'll do for the rest of the season without Williams. I have a few other wingers, but none with the pace and skills to match.

December is through, and form has held without Williams, Also, some of the latest youth have been getting odd minutes and are starting to grow nicely, might have a (relatively) good crop of prospects on hand.
Left back Davidson returned from injury in time for the Billericay(who are now managed by Joey Barton, match made in heaven...) game, and instantly dropped a MOTM performance, with a goal.

It's been a freaking crazy January. Crazy.

We somehow scraped a draw at Leicester, then managed to absolutely FM them at home. Followed that up by taking out Bolton who are 24th in the Championship, giving us a big away day at the Arsenal. Should be great for the coffers.
Speaking of, we also towards the end of the month sold the best player at the club, Jack Evans, 800k up front and 50% of profit was far too much to turn down.

We're far weaker now, but between that sale, and the FA Cup game with Arsenal, if we can hold on in the league, we'll be in an amazing place. Turning pro and maybe enough money to get some facility upgrades.

Also, spent most of the window fending off bids for keeper Rob Rees. Lad is barely 18 and has near 100 games for us. Might end up being a decent player. He has been one of the most consistently improving.

Another month down, and early on, I thought it was going to be our worst so far, but in the league we managed to pull it together, and didn't disgrace ourselves against Arsenal, but that game was a disappointing 250k payday.

Youth intake, and a strange one, top three prospects all right footed cb's. Sadly they're ally fairly lump merchanty, would consider a three back formation if at least one of them could play.

Actually, looking again, I might try training Barton as a BPD, he can pass, and has technique, just a lack of vision.

Another month down, just the one left, which might be used to give youth more chances, as the Woking game was the one that sealed promotion. Board announced they'd be turning pro, and I asked for some facility upgrades(which may be cancelled later, as we probably can't afford them).

In other news, one of my starting CB's demanded a new contract, but wouldn't accept an end of season promise(so I could sign him on pro terms). Bloody annoying.

Another year in the books. Time to turn pro and see how we can prepare for league football. Swansea, who finished 18th in the Championship offered me an interview. I took it to see if they'd offer me the job, they didn't.
Wrexham won promotion to League One, so our affiliation will continue a while longer.

This seems like madness to me. Llanelian Road held 4k, could it not be expanded again? A massive waste of money for that capacity. Would have much preferred renting The Gnoll for a few seasons to see how we go.

Of course, since we chucked all our money on a bad deal for a new stadium... Sigh.

From 1.3m in the black, to 400k in the red.

That's my budget, but we're starting well in the red... I don't know.
