Hi,

I'm still playing FM19 and looking for a tactics. I'm sure this is a simple question but I can't find the answer. The above is the recommended list of tactics for FM19. What are the 'P' numbers ? P109, P112, etc. How do I choose between them? Thanks!

Great! Thanks mate. So !!!!!!!!!19.3.5WULF4132PFDMIWBSPKnapP112ALLCUPSNOLOSS.fmf 45.32 kB · 116 downloadsPI is the best tactic? Is this Beowulf? Is this the thread for this particular tactic https://community.sigames.com/topic/456012-fm-19-beowulf-4231-4411-and-4141-knap/

Actually looking at it maybe the 4-1-4-1 is a better tactic if you are an underdog

There is n unofficial test table, but on my other laptop

4132 442 4141 are the best formations to use.

Hi Knap. Thanks for the reply and for all your work. Your 4-1-3-2 tactic achieved the most points (112) so is that not your best tactic if types of players wasn't an issue? My thought process is that I would use the 4-1-3-2 when I am the underdog and a 4-4-2 when i am the favorite or if i am losing. Is that something you would recommend?

@Gurmeet

Google docs is sortable

Main tab can sort by recommended underdog

MR L Tab CA 135Column,

There is also a Norwich test tab.

These can be used as a guide to which tactic may work best.

@knap

I'm using for a while the warpigs tactic (P107) , unfortunately this tactic doesn't work very well anymore

My strikers miss a lot of chances...

Is there maby a better tactic for my Leeds team??

If you see my selection, i think i can win the league with a good tactic....

I'm playing with a Legends database

I hope you can help me

Thanks :)

Try a CA160 to tactic from MR L Tab.

If a top team you can also use the Lpool pts column on main tab

Thanks @knap

Little question.... there are so many CA 160 tactics....

Where to begin...:rolleyes:

Can you maybe give me a few good working tactics?? :)

Thanks !!!!

Preachin' Blues is a demanding tactic. Mainly suitable to elite teams as there are only forr Team Instructions in possession! Also highly demanding player roles in CWBs, and IFWs. Leave the players every opportunity they get to use their skills, and not be locked by any system. The central forward stretches the line, and the side forwards cut inside. The central midfielder will arrive late into the box while the mezzala creates. This makes for many possible triangles and good passing combinations. Top teams who have quality defenders with sufficient pace and all-around skills will defend fine, while lesser teams will struggle with through balls behind the defensive line and 2 vs 1 situations.

Beowülf was THE best tactic on FM19. Wing play, looks of crosses (wing men to be on side of preferred foot), solid and compact. Simple shape, suitable for most sides with pretty general roles. Two Advanced Forwards harass the opposition out of possession and sit on the shoulder, leaving room for both Wingers to cut inside or hug the line.

Kashmir tactics. This is @Rober82 favorite tactic as it takes no hostages and goes forward chasing goals no matter the costs. That means you might win by a big margin (say 9-0), or you might lose. Extreme gegenpress combined with 3 strikers and often attacking wing backs, no one is looking to stay calm here. We want goals! The midfield has a CM and a Mezzala who both get forward as well, leaving the DLP alone with the two ball playing CBs, as the wing backs also want to score! Playing out of defence with short passing means you will need great players. In fact this tactic demands it all. Stamina and physics as you run all day chasing either the ball or a goal. High mental attributes to make the right choices under pressure. And of course technique to handle the tempo and tiki taka. Elite tops teams only.

Fire & Water tactics. It attempts to stay compact in defence with narrow defence width and the LB with "sit narrow" PI to retain shape. It has wingers who attack, a MC, two AMCs on attack duty, and an advanced forward. The front three should be your best players, as a lot are riding on those. Probably the AMCs are most important, especially one good long shot, technique, decisions and composure. In certain variations, 1 of the 2 AMCs is sort of a 2nd striker like Beek or Ilicic, while the other is a playmaker and will get more assists. A CB with the "tries long passes" trait is a bonus for the AF. 5 attackers and 3 on support with pass into space and attacking mentality. Every time defenders and DLP are on the ball, they will look for those 5 attackers. Goals are scored from crosses from the wing backs / wingers 50% and via through balls from AMCs and sometimes MC 50%. The 3 up front press hard, you'll see goals come from opposition mistakes from that pressing. However, you can get more yellow cards because of that.
So a squad with big depth is recommended. Well worth it though.

Tequila Sunrise tactics. Tequila Sunrise is a pressing tactic fitting to underdogs, even for lower league teams; the pressing is still there, but the use of the ball is fitted to less technical players. Central players are the most important; in particular the AM and the Mezzala, but also the DM needs to be solid defensively. Most goals will be scored from byline crosses and through balls. It depends on the players you have though, e.g. the AMC could be scoring long shots.

Brilliant post and i agree the Fire 4321 shape is an amazing tactic, really fun to watch. Love the Beowulf/2 striker tactics also.
