For my last game, if you can make the change I mentioned after the first game (if you didn't already do it) then that'd be great. Otherwise, same team.

I made the change for the last match  so will leave the team. Austria, Croatia and Czech Republic all set to go, teams which I'd need teams by tommorow night would be Switzerland, Portugal and Sweden, the rest of you can give me yours the day before your games, but of course I'd prefer them in advance such as over this week-end/tommorow.

Right, just need teams from the following now:

Russia

Spain

Germany

Greece

Got the rest now, can definately do the Group B and A games to be posted over the next two nights, though I may have to post Group B's matches this afternoon as I might be out for the evening after my driving lesson. At the latest, they'll appear tommorow night with the Group A results aswell, at which time I'll reveal the first half of the Quarter-Final draw!

Portugal vs Sweden AND Croatia vs Switzerland - Group B - St Jakobspark, Basel AND Stade de Suisse Wankdorf, Bern - Monday 16th June 2008

Valquez: "Hello, and welcome to the first of the final rounds of the Euro 2008 Group Stage! Tonight we bring you two games at the same time, Portugal vs Sweden and Croatia vs Switzerland. However, myself and Bunsen can't be in two places at once...so we've invited some extra commentators to help us for tonight's game! We shall be commentating on Portugal vs Sweden in Basel, while in Bern, we're joined by former Legends Utd youth player/ladyboy Vicky Pinkney, and former Cambridge Utd and Wrexham striker Armand One. Thanks for joining us, are you looking forward to your clash?"

---

Pinkney: "Well we thank you for letting us join in on a great day of football Luis! I'm sure myself and Armand will have a great game today, of course the winner of this game will qualify for Euro 2008, so there's a lot waiting on the result of this match."

One: "True Vicky, the Swiss have been excellent this season and I've been very impressed with their attacking credentials, but Croatia have several stars in their squad and there'll be a feisty contest for sure."

---

Valquez: "Thanks, we'll be back to you in a few moments for the team-news. But now, as always, a word from our main analyist, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. Portugal must be favourites here Bunsen?"

Honeydew: "They have to be Luis, but now the Swedes are out there's no pressure on them, and they could always pull off a shock, there's already been quite a few this year. If the Portugese side can keep up their good form so far, they should be able to win.

Valquez: "Quickly back to Bern now for team-news from the Croatia-Switzerland match."

---

Pinkney: "Cheers Luis, first up is the Croatian team as the sides come onto the pitch:

Croatia: Pletikosa; Srna, Babic, Sablic, Simic; Vranjes; Safaric, Jertec, Modric, Kranjcar; Eduardo

The Croatians maintain the same starting XI and tactic that they played in their win over Sweden, hoping for a further win here. Now it's time to see what Switzerland have gone with:

Switzerland: Benaglio; Degen, Magnin, Muller, Senderos; Fernandes, Gokhan, Schwegler; Geijo, Vonlanthen; Frei

The Swiss also stick with the same formation, but are forced into once change as Johan Djourou is suspended, Patrick Muller replaces him at CB. Back to Luis now before we kick-off."

---

Valquez: "A swift look at the team here too, here's the Portugese side:

Portugal: Ricardo; Bosingwa, Valente, Carvalho, Pepe; Tiago, Veloso; Ronaldo, Moutinho, Nani; Gomes

One change for Portugal, suspended Deco misses out and Joao Moutinho comes in his place. They stay with the same formation. Now to take a look at the Swedish team:

Sweden: Isaksson; Stoor, Edman, Majstorovic, Mellberg; Andersson; Wilhelmsson, Svensson; Kallstrom; Ibrahimovic, Elmander

Sweden opt for the same 4-1-4-1 formation and make no changes, hoping the current XI can turn it around today. Now to the kick-off of both games!"

KICK-OFFS

18 mins (CROATIA 0-0 SWITZERLAND):

SUBSTITUTION (Croatia): Eduardo OFF Ivan Klasnic ON (injury)

22 mins (PORTUGAL 0-0 SWEDEN):

Valquez: "Tiago...plays a ball to Moutinho, he gives it forward to Ronaldo...he slides to Gomes, who tries to shoot from 25 yards...blocked off Mellberg and it spins off to the left...Veloso's ran onto it and he's got some space! VELOSO SCORES FOR PORTUGAL!! His first ever Portugal goal and it's a powerful strike!! Gomes seemed foolish to shoot with Mellberg so close, but the deflection fell ever so kindly to Veloso and he easily gave Portugal the lead!"

Honeydew: "Smart finish by Veloso, he was unmarked and had the space and time to finish the move off for Portugal. Sweden will be hoping that this isn't going to do like their other group games!"

28 mins (CROATIA 0-0 SWITZERLAND):

Pinkney: "Gokhan takes the corner for Switzerland...but Kranjcar wins the aerial challenge with Muller and it's out of the box, it drops to the feet of Fernandes, who can spin on the ball, plays it to Gokhan who's come in from the corner...tries a shot! Deflects off Vranjes...but into the net! GOKHAN SCORES FOR SWITZERLAND!! Terrific goal for Switzlerand! They didn't give up after the corner was cleared and the corner taker has got it!"

One: "It's what you like to see there, they didn't give up, but better still was Gokhan getting into a position in the box, with a good deal of space, he was ready for the pass and rifled a great shot at goal. It was aided by a deflection but I doubt the keeper had much chance anyway, as it stands Croatia are going out!"

Pinkney: "Gokhan will take the free-kick for Switzerland, about 40 yards from goal on this right hand side...Muller is running in the direction of the cross! MULLER SCORES FOR SWITZERLAND!! Patrick Muller gives Switzerland a 2-0 lead!! He beat Babic to the ball and Switzerland are in a great position now!!"

45+0 (of 2 mins) (CROATIA 0-2 SWITZERLAND):

Pinkney: "Jertec runs across the pitch and makes the pass to Modric...plays it out wide to Srna who has a bit of space to manouevre, he plays a through ball behind the defence instead to Safaric! Gets past Senderos and has time to shoot! SAFARIC SCORES FOR CROATIA!! They've pegged back late on in the half! A swift Croatian move sees them equalise, and it's the winger Safaric with it! 2-1 and it's game on in the second half!"

One: "Brilliant movement by Safaric, one touch to get the ball, the other to take Senderos out of contention for getting the ball, and a thumping finish from 9 yards. Can they keep this up in the second half?"

HALF TIME: PORTUGAL 1-0 SWEDEN

................ CROATIA 1-2 SWITZERLAND

Valquez: "We've had a good game here so far, Portugal lead Sweden by a goal to nil. Deserved Bunsen?"

Honeydew: "Very Luis, Sweden haven't been in this at all, the manager will be hoping they can turn this around in the second half, while Portugal will be looking to maintain their lead and qualify top."

---

Pinkney: "What a game we have here! Two late goals in the half mean Switzerland lead Croatia 2-1, with that meaning Switzerland are currently qualifying at the expense of Croatia! And with the late goal Armand, we can expect more."

One: "Of course Vicky, the way the game's been played and some of the football we've seen we can both expect more in the second half. Bring it on!"

SECOND HALF...COMING UP SOON!

You may be unaware that when we took a commanding lead against Sweden but they pegged it back to 1 we took the initiative and powered in the next goal. We will score next!

Anyone can beat sweeden though! Hopefully they pull two goals back to win the game.

You obviously haven't reckoned with our desire to win!

Valquez: "Well, what a day! We have our two qualifiers, and they are Switzerland and Portugal! Switzerland are shock winners of Group B, and will therefore face the runner-up of Group A (games to be played tommorow), while Portugal, who had been expected to win the group, take 2nd and will have to play the side finishing top of Group A, which looks to be Holland. But back to tonight's action, not as many goals as we've had in most games so far Bunsen, but entertaining stuff!"

Honeydew: "Absolutely, but first off a huge congratulations to Switzerland, what an achievement! Who'd have predicted this before we started? It was a deserved win for them, and I felt Sweden were unlucky not to get a winner against Portugal, they played better football and I'm guessing since they were out they just went to show what they could do, and they almost got a victory. We could be set up for a fantastic quarter-final aswell, I'll be hoping Holland can win Group A!"

Valquez: "And of course we'd be here to show such a game! Though of course now one of the other sides will win the group now we've said this...but to Portugal quickly, they looked shakey at times, didn't they?"

Honeydew: "They've looked less comfortable as the tournament has gone on, they've been given a good test in each of their games, and their talented stars have helped them when they've needed it but they need to be dominating games but not looking as fragile at times, not relying on a few players to come up with the goods. I feel sorry for Croatia, they looked very good this tournament, but find themselves out. Hopefully we'll see them back at the next World Cup or European Championship."

Valquez:"I'm sure we'd all like to see the Croatian stars again in the future. But for now, it's Switzerland and Portugal who progress from Group B into the knock-out stages! We hope you'll join us tommorow for exclusive coverage of Group A, but for now, goodnight."

Poland vs Holland AND Turkey vs Austria - Group B - Stadion an der Gugl, Linz AND Ernst-Happel-Stadion, Wien - Tuesday 17th June 2008

Valquez: "Welcome back to another evening's entertainment of Euro 2008. Tonight we're watching Group A, and the group's final clashes between Poland-Holland and Turkey-Austria. Can we be expecting any shocks today Bunsen in Poland-Holland?"

Honeydew: "I think you'd expect a Dutch win the way they've been playing, but they are all but through so they may have their foot off the accelerator a little in preparation for the next round, but we'll have to wait and see for that. Poland's striker Janczyk caused a threat to Austria last time out, can he do it again? Though saying that Holland are a different kettle of fish."

Valquez: "Once again we're joined in Vienna by Vicky Pinkney and Armand One. What's the feeling in the Austrian capital tonight?"

---

Pinkney: "Evening Luis, the Austrians know they're all but out tonight but they'd love to go out with a bang, that's for sure! Turkey will be looking to get their second win of the group tonight to pretty much confirm qualification, what do you think Armand?"

One: "It'll be interesting, the Austrians have barely anything to play for and they could just go out and try and entertain the fans. Turkey have made changes tonight aswell so there's always chance of a slip-up."

Pinkney: "Before I hand back to Luis I'll quickly run down the teams for you all, first is Turkey:

Turkey: Volkan; Altintop, Balta, Servet, Gokhan; Sahin, Gokdeniz; Nihat, Tuncay; Nobre, Erding

Turkey made 3 changes, Emre, Topuz and Aurelio are dropped to the bench and replaced by Sahin, Nobre and Erding. They retain their 4-2-2-2 formation. Now for Austria:

Austria: Ozcan; Standfest, Stranzl, Prodl, Scharner; Garics, Leitgeb, Ivanschitz, Aufhauser; Kienast, Linz

The same XI and tactic for Austria tonight. Now back to Luis in Linz.

---

Valquez: "Thanks lads, a great job yesterday by the way. Here's the Polish team:

Poland: Fabianski; Wasilewski, Gancarzyk, Zewlakow, Lewandowski; Danch, Kazmierzcak, Gargula; Blaszczykowski, Mila; Janczyk

One change for them, Danch makes his debut in place of unfit Iwanski. And now to see the Dutch starting XI:

Holland: Van Der Sar; Heitinga, Van Bronckhorst, Jaliens, Boulharouz; de Zeeuw, Schaars; Sneijder, Seedorf, Van Der Vaart; Van Persie

One change for them aswell, Heitinga replacing Ooijer at RB. Time for the games to begin!"

KICK OFF

2 mins (POLAND 0-0 HOLLAND):

Valquez: "Van der Vaart takes the corner...but Zewlakow heads it away near to the half-way line...de Zeeuw picks the ball up, and feeds on a ball to Sneijder...Heitinga onto Van Persie but Lewandowski clears long...Heitinga...plays it to de Zeeuw who looks to build the attack again with Sneijder, squares to Seedorf as Holland push at the Polish defence...tries a through ball to Van Persie! His path is blocked, squirms a pass to Van der Vaart just onside...VAN DER VAART SCORES FOR HOLLAND!! They've taken another early lead! Holland pushed forward in numbers and got themselves a goal!"

Honeydew: "Well struck finish by Van der Vaart, the deflected shot fell right into his path and he had an easy job finish it off. Can they get another, lightening has struck twice before..."

Shoots from 20 yards on the corner of the box! IVANSCHITZ SCORES FOR AUSTRIA!! The Austrians have a shock lead, and it's their star man Ivanschitz with the goal!"

Poland vs Holland AND Turkey vs Austria - Group B - Stadion an der Gugl, Linz AND Ernst-Happel-Stadion, Wien - Tuesday 17th June 2008

Valquez: "Well we've got an exciting game here haven't we Bunsen? Three goals already in this half and a missed penalty by Poland, will they rue that missed opportunity?"

Honeydew: "You'd expect a team like Holland not to give them any second chances. Poland just need to keep pressing as they did at the end of the first half, if they can catch them off guard again there's a chance for them to get an equaliser."

---

Pinkney: "Well a shock lead for Austria here...and looking at the stats it's not deserved Armand?"

One: "It's true, I'm not sure how Austria are winning this, but fair play to them, they put away their chances and Turkey haven't so far. Their fans would love a win to end the tournament on, though saying that they could still get through if they thrash Turkey!"

SECOND HALF

49 mins (TURKEY 0-1 AUSTRIA):

Pinkney: "Sahin tackles Aufhauser cleanly and takes the ball...plays it forward to Nobre quickly who looks for Erding, but he has to go back to Sahin...he plays it back to Erding, he's slipped in Nobre behind the defence! Rounds the keeper but goes for a cross to Erding...he'll get there ahead of Prodl! ERDING SCORES FOR TURKEY!! What unselfish play by Nobre as he decided not to risk shooting from an angle and passed to his team-mate instead! Turkey have a leveller!"

One: "Great play by Nobre, he did well to round the keeper and set up Erding with an easy goal, though he had to race to get there ahead of Prodl!"

IVANSCHITZ SCORES FOR AUSTRIA!! What a goal that was!! Ivanschitz curls a beautiful goal into the top left hand corner from 25 yards, no chance for Volkan, and Austria regain the lead!"

61 mins (TURKEY 1-2 AUSTRIA):

Pinkney: "Ivanschitz puts in the wide free-kick...but Volkan collects! Boots it long upfield, towards Erding who's unmarked and racing towards the goal! Bounces into the box, he takes a touch, and hits it on the half-volley! ERDING SCORES FOR TURKEY!! Talk about route one football, that was excellent! Volkan punts it long and Erding takes just two touches to blast it past Ozcan in the Austrian goal, yet again the Turks are level!"

One: "I doubt Austria had expected that when they took their free-kick just 20 seconds earlier! They should have had a man on Erding, criminal how he was able to be in so much space and onside to be able to score a fine finish, can Austria fight back again?"

Russia vs Italy AND Spain vs Germany - Group C - Stadion an der Gugl, Linz AND Tivoli-Neu, Innsbruck - Wednesday 18th June 2008

Valquez: "We're back, and today we're in Innsbruck for the last games of Group C. This afternoon myself and Bunsen are in Innsbruck to watch Spain vs Gemany, a game that could decide whether Germany can qualify or not, while in Linz we have Vicky Pinkney and Armand One watching Russia-Italy, an equally important game. Predictions Bunsen?"

Honeydew: "Well the "Group of Death" will see at least one major side, possibly two if you count Russia, going out at this stage, and we presumed it will be either Italy or Germany. I think you'd have to say Italy will beat Russia, and Germany will at best draw with Spain, though the Germans are known for being able to grind out results however much we don't like it!"

Valquez: "Well as a Brazilian unfortunately I don't share the English rivalry with Germany, but both the Germans and Italians will be looking to go all out in search of qualification. Now let's quickly see how Vicky and Armand are getting on in Linz."

---

Pinkney: "Thanks Luis, and here we'll be watching Russia-Italy, a game that for Italy could be the difference between qualification and going home empty handed. They need to better the German result, and they'll want a win of course! We're near to game time now, so instead of a quick word from Armand, who we'll speak to at half-time, I'll quickly run down the teams for you, starting with Russia:

Russia: Akinfeev; Ignashevich, V Berezutskiy, A Berezutskiy; Saenko, Zhirkov, Bilyaletdinov; Torbinskiy; Kerzhakov, Pavlyuchenko, Pogrebnyak

One forced change for Russia, as Arshavin misses out through injury, Torbinskiy takes his place. Now to take a look at the Italian side:

Italy: Buffon; Zaccardo, Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonera; Pirlo, Gattuso; Rosina, Grosso; Toni, Iaquinta

One change for Italy aswell, Daniele De Rossi is suspended so Andrea Pirlo takes his place in the team. Back to Luis now in Innsbruck for Spain-Germany team news."

---

Valquez: "Thanks Vicky, first up we'll see the Spain team:

Spain: Casillas; Arbeloa, Capdevila, Pablo, Albiol; Alonso, Xavi, R Garcia; Arteta, Iniesta; Tamudo

Several changes for Spain, Arbeloa, Capdevila, Pablo, Garcia, Xavi, Alonso, Arteta and Tamudo come in for Ramos, Lopez, Puyol, Joaquin, Fabregas, Vicente, Torres and Raul. So the manager really has rung out the changes tonight! They've also changed to a 4-3-3 Chelsea-style formation with Tamudo as the lone striker with Arteta and Iniesta supporting wing support. Now for the Germany XI:

Germany: Hildebrand; Lahm, Jansen, Mertesacker, Metzelder; Frings; Schneider, Schweinsteiger, Borowski; Klose, Podolski

An enforced change for Germany, Ballack is suspended and is replaced by Tim Borowski. I'm also informed that they've slightly changed their tactic though they line up in the same positions. Now onto the action!"

KICK OFF

5 mins (SPAIN 0-0 GERMANY):

Valquez: "Hildebrand plays a long ball to the right wing...but Capdevila wins the header and it goes short to Iniesta, who finds Raul Garcia...he spins on the ball and squares to Xavi before Frings can attempt a tackle...he takes a step to the left, and slids a pass in the middle to Tamudo who's suddenly in space! He turns on the ball, shoots from outside the box...TAMUDO SCORES FOR SPAIN!! Fantastic strike by Raul Tamudo! He picked up the pass, spun and expertly fired it past the keeper to his right! That's the way to finish well from 20 yards! Spain have an early lead, Spain 1-0 Germany."

Honeydew: "Well there's two things to spot there, one is Xavi's brilliant movement and the second is his brilliant pass. When Xavi got the ball, Tamudo was closely marked by Mertesacker, but as Xavi took a turn to the left, Mertesacker stepped away from Tamudo, and brilliant vision by Xavi meant he was able to give the ball to Tamudo, now with an easy opportuinty to score, and he put it away excellently."

Valquez: "Albiol recieves the ball, and lays it back to Casillas...clears the ball long and it falls back to the Germans as Metresacker heads it away...but only straight back to Spain and to the feet of Xabi Alonso...squares to Xavi who plays a quick ball forward to Tamudo...tries a shot! But it deflects off Metresacker, straight to the feet of Iniesta! Gets ahead of Lahm! INIESTA SCORES FOR SPAIN!! Iniesta doubles Spain's lead! He got the ball ahead of Lahm and rifled the ball past Hildebrand from just inside the box!"

Honeydew: "A fine finish there from Iniesta, just beat Lahm to the ball and just smashed it past the keeper! Germany find themselves in a bit of a pickle now, 2-0 down and they'll need some luck on their side now if they want to go through..."

YELLOW CARD: Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany) booked for obstructing Alvaro Arbeloa (Spain).

18 mins (RUSSIA 0-0 ITALY):

Pinkney: "Zaccardo throws the ball back to Pirlo...who slides a ball forward to Rosina...he runs forwards, and slips a pass into Toni! He's one-on-one with a chance to score...TONI SCORES FOR ITALY!! Italy slice through the Russian defence and it's Luca Toni who's got the goal, Italy lead 1-0!"

One: "That all seemed a bit easy for Italy, just the forward passes from Pirlo to Rosina to Toni gave him an easy route to goal, they had no work to do other than correctly aim and power the pass! Russia need to push Italy a bit harder or else they'll make it a bit easy on them!

38 mins (SPAIN 2-0 GERMANY):

Valquez: "Schweinsteiger takes the corner for Germany...towards the front post...where Klose can get his head on it! KLOSE SCORES FOR GERMANY!! Klose buries the ball at the near post and Germany have a goal back near half-time! They could well get back into this now!"

Honeydew: "Great positioning by Klose, and a brilliant header to top the move off. He got infront of Albiol but managed to angle his header with enough power so that Casillas was powerless to stop it going past him. With Italy needed, they'll need at least two more goals if that scoreline stays the same!"

45+0 (of 2) mins (RUSSIA 0-1 ITALY):

Pinkney: "Iaquinta steps up to take the free-kick for Italy...deflected...but into the net! IAQUINTA SCORES FOR ITALY!! There's a hint of fortune as the deflection took it in the opposite direction to where Iaquinta was aiming, but Italy won't mind at all! The worst time for Russia to concede a goal, right on the stroke of half-time!"

One: "A lot of fortune there! I think Akinfeev would have had that covered if not for the deflection, but Italy go 2-0 up and Russia are in all sorts of trouble now."

HALF TIME: RUSSIA 0-2 ITALY

.................SPAIN 2-1 GERMANY

Valquez: "Well Spain have a deserved 2-1 lead at half-time, but Klose's consolation towards the end of the half gives Germany some hope. Can they get back into this Bunsen?"

Honeydew: "It'll be a tough job Luis, they'll need to sharpen up at the back, I feel that Metresacker has been at fault a few times, but also rely on the sharp finishing of Klose. Spain have had chances to be more than 2-0 up and Germany will hope they can't improve their finishing."

---

Pinkney: "It's as we expected here at the break, Italy lead Russia by 2 goals to 0. Can the Russian defence be blamed for both goals?"

One: "Well certainly the first, but the whole team just didn't click onto the Italian attack, they just seemed to wait for them to come at them. Hard to blame them for the deflection though at the end of the half, even if it did come off one of their players! It'll take a monumental performance by Russia and a massive slip-up from Italy for them to get back into this, Italy are crusing through currently."

SECOND HALF - COMING UP...
