And finally…

Walcott’s Wonderkids Player of the Year 2009

This season was the first that the superkids really started to put impressive performances in on the club and international scene and this award is steadily becoming harder to choose.

Shortlist of:

Pablo Gonzalez – His goalscoring feats are starting to emerge. A great goals:games ratio for Real Madrid and for Turkmenistan, to go with the Spanish League winners medal he has.

Alvaro De Santiago – What a difference a loan can make. A relative nobody at Inter, moves to Arsenal and helps them finish 2nd in the league and won the Champions League.

Jacariah Birkinaldo – A good season at Liverpool winning the League Cup and won both MOM awards in this season’s Stanlies Cup.

And the winner is… Alvaro De Santiago, just caps off a Cinderella season for him – from nowhere to Arsenal hero. It remains to be seen what will happen when he returns to Inter Milan in the near future.

Roll of Honour:

2007 – Abdullah Mohammed Ali Obeid

2008 – Azeryk

2009 – Alvaro De Santiago

Chelsea have accepted a £5.5m offer for Humphrey Koppers from Arsenal. Ajax have also had a season long loan offer accepted for him. However, Humphrey Koppers decides to follow Hermandinho and will join AC Milan on July 1st.

I will produce a screenie of the AC Milan squad sometime in July so you can both see your competition for making the starting line up. icon14.gif

Sampdoria are weighing up making a £6.5m bid for Alvaro De Santiago according to the press.

Reggina have admitted they would like to sign wonderkid Davo, however the £4.4m price tag may prove a stumbling block. Davo has stated that he isn’t too keen on moving to Reggina though.

El Loco Bartinho has signed a new contract with Manisaspor.

Sheff Wed’s manager is looking at Elfdog has he attempts to bolster his squad. Watford manager Sven Goran Eriksson has ruled the transfer out though.

Pablo Gonzalez started up front for Real Madrid in the Spanish Cup Final against Zaragoza. Gonzalez gave Real the lead after 40 minutes after a quick freekick came his way. There were no further goals in the game as Real Madrid lifted the trophy.

Free agent Peter Slater has had contract offers from many clubs, mostly top Premiership sides but also offers from AC Milan, Feyenoord and Celtic.

Week ending Sunday 28th June 2009

Wigan have made an £8m offer for Luke Swinson.

Napoli and PSG have both made bids of around £5m for Turkus Mendieta. They have both been accepted.

Chelsea have made a £14.5m bid for Pablo Gonzalez. Real Madrid has accepted the offer.

Alvaro De Santiago has completed his loan period at Arsenal and has returned to Inter.

Roberto Rossini has completed his loan period at Arsenal and has returned to AC Milan.

Portsmouth have made an offer of £2.5m for Ghoolbi Dumats.

Peter Slater has rejected contract offers from the likes of AC Milan, Arsenal and Man Utd to join Liverpool. He will join another new arrival there, Alan.

Week ending Sunday 5th July 2009

(For the people who signed up today, this and the next weekly update were written at the same time as the updates posted this morning, but I have changed names where applicable)

Pablo Gonzalez agreed terms with Chelsea and has joined them for £14.5m.

July 1st Transfer Summary:

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">

Alan Sevilla --> Liverpool

Samaras Taraldo PSV --> Man Utd

Hermandinho Chelsea --> AC Milan

Humphrey Koppers Chelsea --> AC Milan

Pablo Gonzalez Real Madrid --> Chelsea

Peter Slater Free Agent --> Liverpool

</pre>

Man Utd fans are delighted at the signing of Samaras Taraldo.

Davo has signed a new contract with West Ham.

Vicenza have bought beaten Inter for ownership of George Robson at the end of their co-ownership deal. Inter bid £0 and Vicenza £65,000.

Real Madrid have bid £9.25m for Gary Mcneil at Espanyol. Arsenal, Lyon and Middlesbrough are also interested in him.

Turkus Mendieta has turned down a contract offer from Sevilla and decided to join Napoli for £4.9m. Napoli finished 6th in Serie A last season and will be in the UEFA Cup this season.

Hearts have made a season long loan offer for Gareth Davies. The offer is accepted and Davies has agreed terms.

Sevilla are interested in Benj.

Portsmouth’s £2.5m bid for Ghoolbi Dumats was rejected, but Portsmouth have increased the offer to £3m and this has been accepted.

Deportivo, Aston Villa and Charlton have made a season long loan offer for Luke Swinson. The £8m bid Wigan made for him was rejected, so they have increased their offer to £14m.

Ulfinus Chaoconov has rejected a new contract offer with Anderlecht as he wasn’t prepared to take a wage cut.

Zuvzonamin Lui has 6 months left on his contract at Qingdao. He is currently considering a new contract offer from them.

Newcastle have made an offer of £6m for Ryan. Zaragoza and Lyon have both made a bid of £8m for him. PSV have made a £6.5m bid for him.

Fiorentina have made a £1.9m offer to co-own Ryan with Livorno.

Week ending Sunday 12th July 2009

Chelsea have accepted all the loan offers for Luke Swinson, as well as the £14m bid from Wigan for him. Luke Swinson decides to move on loan to Aston Villa for the season.

According to the media Liverpool are after Bennitto Hagan and could tempt Lazio to sell with a £11m offer. Lazio have said they will sell him for the right price.

Bennitto himself has stepped into the debate, saying that he is willing to stay at Lazio, but only if they offer him a better financial package.

Livorno have accepted the bids from Zaragoza and Lyon for Ryan. They have rejected the Co-ownership offer from Fiorentina.

Ryan agrees terms with Zaragoza and signs for them. However, the news of his arrival has had a mixed reaction from Zaragoza supporters, who feel that he could upset the harmony at the club.

Ghoolbi Dumats has agreed terms with Portsmouth and joins them for a transfer fee of £2.9m.

Real Madrid have had their £9.25m bid accepted for Gary Mcneil, he agrees terms and signs a 3 year contract with them.

So, I have 3 queries:

Gazza D - Would you like your player at Hearts for the season or would you like me to free transfer him? (I'm guessing probably the latter). icon_wink.gif

Mcneil - Your player (in his previous form) has just signed for Real Madrid. Now its up to you whether you still want me to free transfer your player, but I'm thinking there aren't many bigger clubs for him to go to and he is starting afresh for the forthcoming season. The choice is up to you though. icon_smile.gif

follow the blind - player name please. icon14.gif

For both Koppers and Hermandinho its a tricky situation. At centre back you have a couple of oldies (including Nesta) so if Hermandinho can survive not being loaned out this summer then the chances are good. For Koppers, I think ironically another ex-Chelsea player, Wayne Bridge, is there as well though I'm not 100% certain about that as I don't have the game loaded at the mo.

masters66 - yep you can have a common name, I am only able change names via the 'set nickname', so will use mastinho as that name. Also you are at Manisaspor in the Turkish top flight (You can see details about Bartinho if you look at my post towards the bottom of page 11. icon14.gif

Not for me to really say if you would move or not, but if I were you I would ask to become a free agent. icon_wink.gif

mickthebubble - yep, you have taken the last space. icon14.gif

Same as masters66, details about Davo are on the previous page, he is currently at West Ham, so I will put him as a free agent.

Just popping in to give you some well deserved credit WW.

Must say that the effort you are doing to keep this sign up fun and interesting is huge.

You really do your best to make this a worthwhile read and to keep the tension alive.

It is no surprise that the sign up already counts twelve pages and more is to come.

Quality.
