AcidBurn
Their Manager is Jose Flores who was appointed roughly around the same time I was at Boca.Based off this season, their top 5 performers are: Esteban Ramirez Genardo Garavano Javier Rodriguez Jose Ignacio Pablo Arce Cheers, they have a crap manager attributes wise but those player all look very good obviously giving them a very strong spine to the team. SRL88
SRL88's Career - May 2034 - Boca Juniors Clausura Well a draw and a defeat to end the season, but I have to say that I am pretty pleased with the performances because in both games I had to rest numerous first team players due to playing in other competitions which seriously tired us out. SRL88
May 2034 - Continued Copa Argentina Quater & Semi-Final's Two excellent results, even if we did have to rely on penalties in the Semi-Final. We played brilliant againast San Lorenzo and despite having a man sent off we were by far the better team. The Semi-Final was a very tight affair as Semi-Final's usually are but we held our nerves in a penaltie shoot-out to book a game against All Boys in the Final. Copa Libertadores Second Round & Quarer-Final Two brilliant results against Botafogo, both home and away booked us a Quater-Final place against Colo Colo. Sadly however, we couldnt repeat our fantastic run like last year. To be honest, I am pretty pleased because most of my squad had to be rested and I also have World Cup warm-up friendlies right now and the Semi-Final and Final of this tournament will be during the World Cup. SRL88
Copa Argentina Final Route to the Final Boca Juniors A very good run to the Final for us. Our toughest draw was in the 5th Round away to Colon and we got through that comfortably. An easy win over San Martin (T) followed before a comeback from our fringe players against Second Division Dep. Merlo set up a Quater-Final against San Lorenzo who we got past comfortabley. A penalty shoot-out saw us through that to book our place in the Final. All Boys A very good run to the Final for the League Champions. They were favoured in the draw, but they beat their opponents comprehensively. A brilliant win over Argentinos booked their place in the Final. A very tight game, but an excellent win thanks to an early goal was enough to see us lift the Copa Argentina. An excellent strike from Biscay from 25 yards out saw us exact some sort of revenge on the team who beat us to both league titles.

tomtuck01
A tad unlucky in the Clausura, but you did well to beat All Boys in the Cup Final. Same about the Libertadores too, though you'll be back again next season.

Cheers Tom . Yeah the Libertadores was a bit of a shame, but like I said, I am strangely pleased because I can now focus on the World Cup rather than playing a game with Boca and then the following day playing a game with Brazil. SRL88
SRL88's Career - Season Review - 2033/34 - Boca Juniors Apertura - Results (2nd - Runners-Up) I was pretty pleased with our performances throughout the Apertura, but keeping up with All Boys relentless pace was just impossible. We put in some very good performances but we tailed off towards the end of the 'campaign'. Clausura - Results (2nd - Runners-Up) Very much like the Apertura, we had the tough task of keeping up with All Boys and we just failed to do so. It was practically a carbon copy of the Apertura as we tailed off towards the end of the season in yet another failed push to the title. Primera Division Overall (2nd) Obviously the two second place finishes in the two seperate leagues resulted in us finishing as runners-up in the overall Primera Division. You can see from this overall league shows how good All Boys were. They eclipsed the goals record by some 20-30 goals. Astonishing!!! Copa Argentina (Winners) A brilliant run to the Final for us. We got there pretty comfortably with our toughest test being in our opening game against Colon. We got through that and despite having to endure a penalty shoot-out in the Semi-Final we booked our place in the Final against what look to be our closest rivals now. The Final was a tense one, but we managed to come out on top and claim a 1-0 win. Copa Sudamericana (Winners) It was a delight to see us claim the first continental trophy of the season. I was slightly confused as to why we were in both this and the Libertadores but I now understand. Anyway, a cracking run to the Final as we beat all comers comfortably. Once there, we claimed the trophy with ease. Copa Libertadores (Knocked out in Quater-Finals) A shame we couldnt retain our trophy, but we put up a good fight trying. Unlike last season we managed to top our group pretty comfortably, but needed a win over Santos in our last game to ensure that. In the Second Round we grabbed two brilliant wins over Botafogo to set up a against Colo Colo. A shocking defensive display in Chile really gave us a difficult task in the second leg. We put up a good fight but it wasnt good enough and we bowed out of the competition. World Club Championship (Winners) What more can I say about this other than WOW!!!!!!! We got a little lucky in the Semi-Final and had to rely on the extra period but against Real Madrid, just brilliant. I set my side out ot frustrate them and thats exactly what they did. A brilliant performance resulted in a remarkable 2-0 win over the Spanish giants. Transfers - Finances I am really pleased with our transfers this season. We made a lot of key signings this year, none more so than Gabriel Massoni, who was inspirational between the sticks. The finances are looking average to be honest. Without bringing in £30m last season we would be screwed. It is so difficult to make money in Argentina. Squad The overall blend of the squad really pleases me, but deep down I know that I need to make changes if we are to catch up to All Boys in this league, and with the finances the way they are, that is easier said than done. My Top 3 Players Luis Giannini - An absolutely excellent season in midfield. A real driving force for us. Gabriel Galvan - Our captain and top scorer. Despite his ageing years he proved his class so I decided to give him an extra one year contract. Luis De Leon - A cracking season from the left wing for what is a natural striker. A lot of goals and generally caused havok for defences. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Season | Team | League | Country | League Position | Notes |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 2011/12 | Kirklareli Spor | Second Division Group A | Turkey | 5th | Play-Off Quater Finalists || 2012/13 | Kirklareli Spor | Second Division Group A | Turkey | 3rd | Play-Off Semi Finalists |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 2013/14 | Darlington | Blue Square Premier | England | 4th | Play-Off Semi Finalists, FA Trophy Runners-Up, | Appointed in October || 2014/15 | Darlington | Blue Square Premier | England | 2nd | Promoted via Play-Offs, FA Trophy Runners-Up || 2015/16 | Darlington | League Two | England | 3rd | Promoted || 2016/17 | Darlington | League One | England | 5th | Promoted via Play-Offs |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 2017/18 | Blackpool | Championship | England | 3rd | Promoted via Play-Off's || 2018/19 | Blackpool | Premier League | England | - | Resigned in November |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 2018/19 | Aston Villa | Premier League | England | 10th | Appointed in November, FA Cup Winners || 2019/20 | Aston Villa | Premier League | England | 4th | FA Cup Winners, League Cup Runners-Up, | Champions League Qualification |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 2020/21 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 1st | Premier League & FA Cup Winners | League Cup & Europa League Runners-Up || 2021/22 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 2nd | Premier League & FA Cup Runners-Up | League Cup & Champions League Semi-Final || 2022/23 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 1st | Premier League Winners || 2023/24 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 1st | Premier League, FA, Carling Cup | Community Shield & Champions League Winners || 2024/25 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 1st | Premier League, League Cup, Community Shield | & Uefa Super Cup Winners || 2025/26 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 2nd | FA Cup & Community Shield Winners || 2026/27 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 1st | Premier League, Champions League & | Community Shield Winners, FA Cup Runners-Up || 2027/28 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 1st | Premier League, Community Shield & | World Club Championship Winners || 2028/29 | Liverpool | Premier League | England | 1st | Premier League & League Cup Winners |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 2029/30 | Galatasaray | Super Lig | Turkey | 1st | Super Lig Winners |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 2030/31 | At.Madrid | Liga BBVA | Spain | 2nd | Liga BBVA & Copa Del Rey Runners-Up, | Champions League & Spanish Super Cup Winners || 2031/32 | At.Madrid | Liga BBVA | Spain | 1st | Liga BBVA & Champions League Winners, | Copa Rel Rey & European Super Cup Runners-Up |-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| 2032/32 | Boca Juniors | Apertura | Argentina | 1st | Apertura Winners || 2032/33 | Boca Juniors | Clausura | Argentina | 5th | - || 2032/33 | Boca Juniors | Primera Division | Argentina | 3rd | Copa Libertadores Winners || 2033/34 | Boca Juniors | Apertura | Argentina | 2nd | Apertura Runners-Up || 2033/34 | Boca Juniors | Clausura | Argentina | 2nd | Clausura Runners-Up || 2033/34 | Boca Juniors | Primera Division | Argentina | 2nd | Copa Argentina & Copa Sudamericana Winners, | World Club Championship Winners |
Next Season? Its all about catching All Boys. tomtuck01
Good season really, in the Apertura and Clausura you really couldn't have done much more. Excellent to win the World Club Championship, the Sudamericana and the domestic cup. The Libertadores will come again in time. Would certainly persist with Gabriel Galvan - if he's good enough, which he clearly is, then age isn't an issue. Just look at my thread and 35 year old Javier Hernandez! Just look at my thread and 35 year old Javier Hernandez! I completely agree with all your comments Tom. All Boys were just way to good for us this season, but to claim the trophies we did really made me happy. As for Galvan, I hope he continues to perform because I put a clause in his contract that is he exceeds 30 games this season in the league then he gets a year extention. Sammie B
After reading your 4-2-3-1 thread and some others especially around flair and creative freedom, have managed to get it working in Brazil after previous failures . Don't concede many but not scoring a lot either, so ends in a lot of draws! But the finances in Brazil are insane guaranteed profit every month even in 2nd division because of the TV money! New youth facilities on the way, maybe my stay in Brazil may be slightly longer.....

We have an annual wage spend of just over £10m which is nothing really, but we are still losing £2-3m p/m. Heavilly relying on someone coming in and making a massive offer for one of my star players to be honest with you. Congrats on winning the Cup,take that All Boys Best of luck in the World Cup,looks like you went for the sensible option of keeping morale high for the upcoming tournament. Haha. Im sure they will say that to us about the league. We are creating a little rivalry between us like. Me & their manager dont help matters with our comments towards each other in the press . Congrats on a good season. Clean sweep next season I think! And best of luck in the WC. Cheers fella . I think a clean sweep will be a bit to much. I would give it all up just to win both league titles.
Karnage94
Great effort, just a bit unlucky with how good All Boys are. But I guess this is what makes FM so much fun, you come up against what is seemingly an unstoppable force and you have to try and weasel wins from nowhere to keep up... Great read overall and keep up the good work

I get about 60k a week wage budget using about 49k ish but my squad is massive have at least 30 players excluding youngsters, really need to trim it down but games come thick and fast and don't want leave myself short! Reading your tactic thread you make a lot of tackles and interceptions, 1 of things i've noticed watching my games is we don't win the ball back quickly and sometimes don't put a tackle in. I use press more in the team instructions but do you think your more aggressive tackling is the reason win back ball and make a lot of interceptions? I'm always wary of using this as don't want to be flooded with yellow cards :s

I like to believe the way I set the team up allows us to win the ball back pretty quickly. Like you say, I have the aggressive tackling on and I always use touchline instructions of hassle opponents and get stuck in. It seems to do the trick. SRL88
2034 FIFA World Cup Group Stage Group A - A brilliant effort from the hosts Australia to top the group. Two wins and a draw see them comfortably through, followed by a poor Portugal side. Group B - Two massive shocks in this group as Croatia and holders Spain crash out of the tournament without a win to their name. Nigeria do fantasticly well to top the group, but its Saudi Arabia who cause a huge shock by booking their place in the Second Round. Group C - A perfect group phase for Holland who were on fire. 10 goals in just three games. Another surprise going through is Guatemala who reach the knockout stage in their first ever World Cup. Group D - As expected in Group D. Germany have an easy passage and its Russia who grab second spot. Group E - Three wins out of three for Argentina in the group stage, and they will be joined by an impressive Egypt side. Group F - So its Mexico who top the group with two wins and a draw. Brazil fluffed their chance to finish top of the group, letting a two goal lead slip against Iran in the final minutes. Group G - As expected in Group G with France and Italy moving into the Second Round. Group H - A very tight group. England managed to top the group on goal difference, and thanks to goals scored its China who join them. Second Round Draw Australia -v- Saudi Arabia Portugal -v- Nigeria Holland -v- Russia Germany -v- Guatemala Argentina -v- Brazil Egypt -v- Mexico China -v- France England -v- Italy

Tough draw in the WC.Have Hoffenheim had the same manager for a while?? Thought they would at least offered you a second job offer. Well its only been two season so its not really that long. I still feel I have a few more seasons left in me at Boca. Regarding Hoffenheim, they appointed Jerome Boateng in 2031 when I turned the job down and he is still there now. He is doing pretty well for them to.
