One thing I've thought of Tom... does your team have youth facilities? I know there are a small number of clubs who don't so if you're at a club who doesn't that would explain a player's refusal to join on a youth contract.

Thats probably it. I have "limited youth facilities" and "Minimal youth recruitment".....or vice-a-versa.

Most likely I'll only be able to sign youth players nobody else wants.

It shouldn't be anything directly attributed with my file. As you started this Version with SI hotfix patch 11.1.1, perhaps it has something to do with SI code changes???

Is this still enjoyable if I dont "load all players from England" ? Reason I am hesitating is eventually (6-7 years) I would like to head over to Scotland to take over a club or two after hopefully being successful in England. And what I remember in years past is that English players eventually over run Scotish clubs. I can only invision that this would make it worse.

Hi, the reason why it is important to load all players from England is that the game doesn't retain all clubs in Level 9 when starting a new game. Clubs like Scarborough Athletic are missing so there becomes an imbalance with the teams promoted and clubs get shifted around to their wrong regions.

If you can live with that then I don't see there is a problem with not loading all players from England.

Definately not. Only points reductions that are effective at the start of the season should be included.

Like you I started again with the new build. I've had the same, quite a few red cards for both my team and the opposition. Strange as I didn't think the match engine had any changes in 11.1.1, but what else could it be down to? Can't be anything to do with the file itself, shouldn't effect the match engine.

Well my time at Waltham Forest has been fun thus far. Got knocked out all the cups...although I did make it through the prelim round of the FA trophy beating my rival leyton. Sitting safely in 8th in the league at the moment 10 matches in. But with an average attendance of 22..... we are already in dire straits financially.

I think the best way to avoid this is to use the Qualified Teams tab in Competition.

That was how it worked with several expanded leagues that I used in FM2010. You had to load the lowest available league when starting your game or the cups would get screwed up. You could manage a club in a higher league, but you needed all league levels loaded.

This is a problem with all level 7 and 8 leagues. You've got Dates in League Schedule using both the 26th and the 27th of December, I think you should delete the 26th from there.

This should have been picked up in testing

The option has been used, that's why I think if the competition uses the Qualified Teams tab it should sort the problem out.

.... Damn, I didn't look at my league schedule (I'm only in late october now with my Corinthian C, Version 2.1) but now I can confirm the same problem for both 7th and 8th level.
