Install

Make sure you have winRAR, then open the download file and copy the entire contents (including config.xml) into the skins folder, located at:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2009/skins/

If there is no skin folder there, create one yourself

Load up the game, go to preferences -> Display & Sound, choose the skin you want, then UNTICK 'Use Skin Cache' and TICK 'Always use Skin On Confirm', then press the confirm button. The skin will load and you can tick 'Use Skin Cache' and untick 'Always Load Skin On Confirm'

Now for the most exciting part of this post, the download:

OK. Look where my manager name is, top left of the screen. You can hardly read it as its the same colour as the background. Also what about the scroll bars?! I dont get these on any other skin. Can this be fixed:

Cheers about the scroll bars. Think is to do with default control height but i dont know where/how to fix it..

The player attribute colours are quite bland, a change is needed, but we can do that ourselves!

Most welcome - why SI dont employ you rather than '***' is beyond me - you should get paid for this - i'd suggest 75% of players of FM09 will use your skin....24% other....and 1% that rubbish white one that comes with the game - that's the worst skin i've seen in 15 years of playing this game.

Not very good support for your users really that. I think you should find somewhere else to put it or at least recolour it to the opposite of the header background colour. It just looks unfinished as it is, like you were supposed to change it but had forgotten about it.

I'm not going to change every little detail to suit everyones needs if I consider it more hassle than it's worth. My skin, I have the final say

I'd expect a mod to have more sense than to question a persons support when they go to the effort of making a skin for the community

OK fixed this now. I pasted the following into a text document and saved it as footer.xml and chucked it into the panels folder of the skin:

My mistake. There's a problem in the player profile.xml file. I've fixed it now. Replace the file in the 'panels' folder with the one below

Yeah there should. Filefront must of automatically put it there when I uploaded

So if users download it then they need to remove the underscore.

You may want to amend your skin with the footer.xml and the player profile.xml, RAR or ZIP it and make that available for download?

Just a thing i'm gonna mention, you did say 'Feedback and suggestions welcome'..

On the sreenshot ive posted the panel looks as if its been 'pasted' over the exisiting panel. It doesnt fit property and looks a bit odd. Worth mentioning as this skin is superb. Worth considering for any update.

I don't want to include the footer as it gets rid of the date in the bottom right. I'm looking into removing the scrollbars another way

Please do look into the scroll ball thing. It will make the best better! Might want to upload it with my attribute colours i posted earlier too?
