penza
Hey guys, Which version of football manager you found best to play with? Easiest/Hardest? just simple curiosity ....
SCIAG
Try the search function, this has been done before. FM07 is pure bliss.
paulpaps
I absolutely adored CM2 95/96. Stevie Stone and Ian Woan!
penza
oh ok:) SCIAG tried to search but too many results come up can you give me the link?
peter-evo
The search function is shocking! FM07, simply brilliant! Too bad I give it away
minisav
05 was special for me. I am really warming to 09 compared to 08 as well
kopitelewis
this is actually the first ever fm i have played but my mate had fm 07 and i found that good.
Damian227
07 is easily my favourite one, still have a game save as Man City that I started when I brought the game. 05 was good as was CM4 and 06 was ok, 08 was dreadful though.
Dale Gribble
97/98 will be the one I always remember, so many wasted evenings after school.
Some Guy!
FM 07 was very solid. FM 08 was fun, but had some fairly significant issue, but in the most case I really do like FM 2009 despite some very minor issues.
Robsabbaggio
FM2007. No doubt.
luke.smith
FM 2007, by miles.
alimac
05 was special for me. I am really warming to 09 compared to 08 as well Exactly the same for me. 05 was the version I played the longest and only stopped as my hard drive died! Couldn't get into 08 at all but 09 is growing on me everyday and is probably joint top with 05 at the moment but just ready to take the lead.

De Gos
97/98 took Wolves to the heady height of Prem, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup Quadruple. George Weah and young Robbie Keane up front with Ronaldo (original) replacing Weah.
kashmirshazad
FM08 ALL the way!! woo hoo! However CM99/00 was pretty awesome (i was a little babby then) anyone remember that?
Box
CM (1) italia 93/94 I played this after playing CM1 with the fake player names and loved it as it had real players and the greatest league in the world (at the time). Some real legends in the game Van Basten, Maradona, Baggio, Pierre-Papin, Michael & Brian Laudrup, Maldini, Zenga, Cantona, Shearer, Gullit, Lentini, Albertini, Stoickov, Vialli etc. Great game! CM2 was impressive for its time too, but the next most memorable was CM 99/00. More playable than the previous CM3 and much more polished. From there the most impressed I've been with the series has been FM 2008 which I felt was a genuine step forward in the game play and match engine. I quite like GM09 so far too. Leeds Fan
I used to play CM93/94 for hours when I was younger. CM01/02 - that was/maybe is the best football management game. It is fast and has some realism to it, but not too much.
kashmirshazad
As much as I like these current FM games, I feel the best one overall was CM99/
The Smudge
I loved cm 01/02 probs cause it was my first of the series that i bought. Was only about 10 at time remember having a cracking game where i managed valencia. Out of the fm games not to sure. I liked fm 07 though I think 09 isn't to bad, no way as bad as 08 imo anyway. fatboyjohnmulhern
Big Up CM 01-02 Utter Class It was the perfect game, if you had a good squad then you would do well, tactics didnt mean much back then which was more fun.
