FM2010 - what machine do you play it on ?

Recommended Posts

Just tried out of curiosity to install FM2010 on my laptop which my mum gave me a few months back when she upgraded to a newer 1. Suprisingly it works or seemingly works better on the laptop than the higher spec desktop computer.

On the laptop, I am even able to easily view the 3d match engine and notice the crowd jumping for joy when 1 of my players scores a goal, something i was very nervous about when playing on the pc, due to the fact on the odd occassion it would restart my pc when viewing in 3d match mode (in the past).

only thing is, I haven't got steam on the laptop so I will just need to insert the dvd each time I want to play it, but nonetheless, am incredibly happy it works fine on the laptop.

Just hope it's the sae with fm2011 :D

Core 2 duo 2.33ghz

4 gb ram - only 3.3 available to me though!

W7 home premium 32bit

Ati Radeon 4600 HD Series

As I have the 64bit disk as well as the 32bit one I think I'll install that before I get FM11.

I thought that I was pushing things with a 3.8oc of my i7 920, how much life do you expect out of your cpu? Also is any chance this thread could segway into finding out how many forum members are using 64bit os compared to 32bit?

Just to add my measurements;

CPU as above - Can't believe it's a year old now

6GB 1333Mhz RAM

HD4970

Windows Vista 64 (I know, I should have switch by now but I keep forgetting to pick up a copy)

I've done the same trick, quite surprised at how stable mine is considering it's a 40% boost in clock speed. I just hope that SI have finally sprung for an i7 rig so that we don't have the problems of last year & the game works straight out of the box for us folk using higher end systems.

i7-740 QM, 8GB DDR3, 1GB nVidia GPU on notebook Win7 64

E6850 @ 3.8Ghz 8GB DDR2, 512MB ATI 4870HD on Desktop Win7 64

Runs like stink on both, and in fairness, FM never utilises half the power it could harness, hope this is addressed in FM11.
