I've declined this offer from Everton, and I've also declined the offer to extend my contract at Ton Pentre, which is due to expire at the end of the season. 

I think I have decided that this will be my last tilt at winning the EURO Cup with Ton Pentre and after the end of this season I will look to take over at Cardiff at the 1st opportunity.

Feb 2047. 

Domestic games. We had a player sent off after just 7 minutes against Afan Lido. Usually we would still be capable of winning/drawing while a man down, but unfortunately I had fielded a weakened side in order to go full-strength in Europe. It cost us our unbeaten record in the league. 

European games. I'm not overly happy with the performances in these games. We conceded 6 goals over 2 legs which is just too many against a team like Salzburg if we hope to win the title. I look at the teams left in the competition and there is just 1 English team and with that being Brighton rather than the big established sides + Leicester & Watford then I think we have a golden opportunity. This is our chance to win this!

Goal-scoring keepers. Pajvot (CRO) scored 2 more penalties to bring him to 13 goals for the season and 87 career goals, but he also missed his 4th penalty of the season. 

While on the 1 hand I sort of have it in my mind to leave at the end of this season, I also had it my mind that I would like to get Pajvot (CRO) to 100 career goals before doing so. That is likely to happen next season, but his happiness issued might prove to be a stumbling block. The other thing of course is that the Cardiff job might not be available this Summer.

Squad by PA. The big mover his is (47p) who was the 16th best player by PPA, but who is the 2nd best player by PA. If this doesn't get the message over then nothing will.

Players are no longer being poached, which makes things even worse. When there were players being poached I could understand why our intake might not be as I would like, but as our rep grows and I have almost maxed the facilities out, I keep thinking to myself... "this will be the season", but it just isn't happening. 

It's got to the stage where I just want to leave Ton Pentre now.

Domestic games. We're 20 points ahead in the league which we won last month and all I care about is Europe anyway. The fact that we have lost already and I'm trying not to defend and unbeaten record also eases the pressure. 

European games. I think we're conceding too many goals against average opposition to win this thing. 

Where the hell did Watford come from!!!!!!  I'm sure Brighton were the only English side in this! I've just checked and they were. I think the winner of each Group goes through to the 2nd Knockout Round while the Runner Up in Each Group gets to play the 3rd placed team from the Champions League, (us). Damn!  

Goal-scoring keepers. There were no GK goals scored this month and Pavjot (CRO) missed a penalty against Porthmadog. He might have scored 13 goals this season, but he has also missed 5 of 16 penalties. This is absolutely linked to his happiness/morale.

Player valuations. Apr 2047. 

Player valuations have always seemed a little strange to me in FM. 

This is a list of the GK's at the club. Obviously Pajvot (CRO) is 1st choice, but Stirling (SCO) is 2nd choice and I don't think there is much between them. 

Pajvot (CRO) is valued at £5,000,000 and has 2 years left on a £83,200 pa contract. 

Stirling (SCO) is valued at £275,000 and has 3 years left on a £273,00 pa contract. He is a regular starter on loan at Burnley in the Championship & we received a £500,000 fee for his services. How is he only valued at £270,000 when we were paid £500,000 for his services for 1 season and he has 3 years left on his contract?

I am still playing but I have a lot of players at the club and it's slow going trying to get through the off-season without not bothering to do something important. 

I've got 118 players at the club with deals done to being in 7 teenagers, and while that's not ridiculous if we have reserves and U21's and U19's to go with the Senior squad, it's ridiculous when all we have is a Senior squad and an U189 squad who play no fixtures.

I'm about 8 years into my save with Llanrhaeadr, started making progress, although when I started, I forgot to change my qualifcation and playing experience to the lowest, so I've been able to progress a little quicker.  But I'm not fussed on my reserves and below fixtures, just ask my coaches to arrange games for them.

I had sort of got used to just having the 2 squads, (and I appreciate that no U19's fixtures is a bug), but I have just played a season in South Africa in the Joint Save where I had 4 different squads all with competitive fixtures and it's just hard getting used to Wales again.

Domestic games. We were losing 1-0, (their only shot on target), with 10 mins to go against Connah's Quay, but 3 late goals, (2 in injury time), grabbed us all 3 points to keep our 100% record. 

European games. I picked a completely rotated side against PSG, (with only the GK not being rested), and we beat them 3-0 away. I think I have decided that I'm going to have a tilt at the Champions league this season rather than the EURO League. 

Goal-scoring keepers. Pajvot (CRO) scored 3 out of 4 penalties and he's obviously not happy. He's up to 92 career goals.

Domestic games. We're still flying in the league. 5 games and 5 wins.  Possibly conceding a few too many goals but scoring at a rate of approx 4+ goals per game over the course of the league campaign, and 3.6 over the course of this month in the league.

European games. We were actually 2-0 down to Inter and I was getting concerned until we absolutely ran riot. Both our 1st choice striker grabbed hat-tricks, and Piere (NED)'s was a perfect hat-trick. Why oh why SI removed that as a steam achievement I will never know. Lovely little feature. We were unlucky against PSG and that's the 1st game we have lost all season. 

Goal-scoring keepers. Although Pajvot (CRO) scored a delightful long-range free-kick and a penalty this month, he also missed not 1 but 2 penalties.  He's on 9 goals for the season, (8 penalties and 1 free-kick), but has now missed 4 penalties. He's on 98 career goals.

They seem to sack their managers with regularity, so I think it reasonable to suggest that we will have another chance about 18 months from now, (if not before). 

I've removed the caretaker managers from this list, (which doesn't remove the current caretaker). Nobody has lasted 2 years+ in the save as manager of Cardiff since Filippo Inzaghi in 2022-2024. My plan is have a go at the Champions League this season, the EURO Cup next season and then see where we stand then.

100 goals for Pajvot (CRO). Dec 2047.

Pajvot (CRO) scoring 100 goals is decent. Anyone scoring 100 goals is decent, never mind a GK, but to score 100 goals in 406 appearances is better than decent. When you also consider that we loaned him out 3 times early in his career and 65 of his 406 appearances were nor for us, it means that he has scored 100 goals in 341 appearances at a rate of a goal every 3.41 games. I know he's missed a lot of penalties recently, (in my opinion due to happiness issues), but a scoring rate like that will do for me.

Domestic games. 5 league games providing 21 goals, but really annoyed to have conceded 2 goals in 1 game against Afan Lido. We went 2-0 up and just stopped playing. 

European games. Not happy about this result at all. We should be battering them. 

Goal-scoring keepers. 5 goals this month for Pajvot (CRO), (including a double of a free-kick and a penalty against Bala Town). He did though miss a 5th penalty of the season, (against Vit. Guimarães). He has now scored 14 goals this season, (in 29 games), and 103 career goals.

Domestic games. We needed penalties to sneak past Barry in the Cup Semi-Final, and the TNS game was tough because we played 89 mins with 10 men after having a player sent off in the 1st minute. 

Goal-scoring keepers. 2 more goals to the Pavjot (CRO) tally takes him to 16 goals for the season and 105 career goals. He did miss another penalty though, (the 6th miss of the season).

Of course he is still unhappy, and now I've just given him another reason to be unhappy, but that couldn't be avoided. It's all well and good having a small defender who's an excellent defender, but unless I want to create a completely different tactic then he needs to be the left-sided defender and not right-sided. Selling the two 5'10" centre-backs for good money was a no-brainer. 

I was determined that I would get a GK to 100 goals in this save, (because it feels like it's been a while and now it's done I can relax. Pavjot (CRO) is 29 years old and while his career is far from over, I would be interesting to have a look at a Gk with high eccentricity, (because his is 2).

21 year old Diego (BRA) * LOAN has eccentricity of 2. 
26 year old Stirling (SCO) LOAN has eccentricity of 18, (but he's 26 and not the heir to the throne). 
21 year old Degenek (MNE) LOAN has eccentricity of 7, (but looks to be the best future keeper). 

I'm unlikely to spend 4 more years here, (at least I hope not), so there is no way on Earth a GK can get to 100 goals before I move on. 

Records. This was a very strange transfer. Naciri (SWE) * was signed on a free from non-League, but has never become 1st choice for us. He was loaned out to Sheff Utd last season in the Championship, (and did ok), and this season he has scored 15 goals in 13(5) games as half of the 2nd pair of strikers. When they offered that sort of money for him I bit their hand off. Blazek (CZE) HG 5'10" ** is a little different in that he is excellent and our best centre-half, (by star rating), but the fact remains that he is 5'10" and no matter how good, is just not suited to what I want.

(48l) has moved from 12th to 1st.

We know that the PA is 100% accurate because it's a figure we can see, so what's causing the inaccuracies in PPA. Is it the staff levels?

Here's an idea. If I change the JPA and JPP of the staff member in question, (I actually don't know if this is the Ass Man or the HoYD or someone else at this stage), to maximum levels, then does it bring the PPA closer in line with the actual PA?

It's actually the Ass Man who's ability I am using for this info so let's have a look at him and see who he is and what he looks like. 

He's not good. 

So what I'm going to do is up his JPA and JPP to 20 and then see what the above screens look like. 

Here he is again, and this time you will note that his JPA and JPP, (which were both 7), are now 20 and 20. 

Now I will be honest with you. I have run this experiment before so I know what to expect, but I'm basically doing it again to show those of you who haven't run it what the result is. 

This is the same squad of players, being judged by the same Ass Man, but this time that Ass Man has JPA 20 JPP 20. 

It's not an awful lot better is it? 

a, c, e, f, b, g, h, bla bla bla bla bla. 

Basically, what I'm showing you is that this is an inexact science. Every time you look at a youth intake and discard players based on PPA, there is a reasonable chance that you are discarding your best prospects.

My personal preference is to look at the player's attributes alongside their PPA.

If a player's best attributes are poor-->okay but he has good Determination, I'll probably keep them on. If they've got similar attributes, but poor Determination (10 or lower, depending on my mood), I'll probably ditch them.

European games. Man Utd were really goon in this game and we got away with one I think. They hit the post twice in the opening 10 minutes but we weathered the storm and hung on to draw. The next round gets tougher still with Man City our opposition and in the unlikely even we sneak past them, we meet either R.Madrid or an increasingly impressive Watford. 

Goal-scoring keepers. Pavjot (CRO) scored 2 more penalties this month, (0 misses), and that brings him to 21 goals for the season and 110 career goals.

Finances. 

Records. That's quite a big jump and obviously interesting because both the old and the new record are against the same opposition at the same stage.

Just try to calculate as much if u can by copy paste their most important attributes  for technical, mental and physical  attributes and/ or attributes for specific  roles. that in combination with their personality  and media handling activates a green or red light for me.

Domestic games. I can't believe that we lost the Barry Town game. I'm just astonished. I really can't believe it. I know that I had rested every single outfield player in anticipation of the 2nd leg against Man City. Did I mention that I can't believe it? 

European games. I was hoping that we might be able to go all the way, but the reality is that we're not good enough. The Semi-Final line-up of City, Spurs, Barca & R.Madrid is tremendously strong and we are not at that level. How can we be? I'm quite happy with how things have gone this season and will probably look to drop down and have a tilt at the EURO Cup next season. 

Goal-scoring keepers. Frustratingly, there was just 1 GK goal scored by Pavjot (CRO) in the last 8 games of the season. Before this month he was right on the verge of scoring a goal every 2 games, (at the end of last month it was 2.047 games per goal), but at the end of the season now it has dropped to 2.318.

With 1 month of the season to go, there was a real chance that Pavjot (CRO) was going to finish the season as top goal-scorer in the league over the full course of the season. Barry Town player Sellick eventually won the Golden Boot with 18 goals, (3 ahead of 1 of my our striker and our GK). What I find interesting is that Pajvot (CRO) only took 30 shots but..... oh hang on. That's not 30 shots he took. That's 30 shots on target. 

We were awarded a lot of penalties though. 

 

Finances.   I really need to splash some cash on a couple of really top end players.
