You may remember me (almost certainly not, though) from such career threads as 'The Seagulls are trying to nick my chips again' and 'Dave Duncan's tour of obscurity' Welcome... After a two-and-a-half year hiatus, I have contracted the FM bug once again. Having skipped FM18 and most of FM19, I have dipped my toe into the vast waters of football management again. As much as I loved the Weston-super-Mare journey, I am far too promiscuous to try that again - the journeyman style suits me perfectly! My previous journeyman on here took me to Iceland, China, England, Belgium and Germany - I definitely get around... Setup... I will be starting unemployed, as always, with Sunday League reputation and a National C Licence (as I hold that badge in real life - talk about a humble brag!). We have loaded a large database with the lowest playable league in the following nations: Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, Wales. That gives us a player count of 72,000 - surely we can find a few decent ones?! Plans... There are no grand plans for this save - I'll be learning on the job with FM19 as it looks like there's plenty of new features to get to grips with. I cannot wait to truly experience the wonders of VAR! I'll be introducing my first club in the next post and hopefully you'll join me on another crazy ride! The story so far... The trophy cabinet...

I've been struggling along with my Scandi-Nordic save, but I just wasn't feeling it for some reason and have hardly played since Christmas until recently. The Joint Save got me interested in FM again and I started playing the Scandi-Nordic save, (and it was ok), before absolutely falling in love with FM all over again during a really brief spell managing Rijeki in Croatia in the Joint Save. But my stint in charge of the Joint Save is over and I just can't go back to Scandi-Nordic land. There have been a couple of threads that have really piqued my interest. I'm a huge @Makoto Nakamurafan and as long as he is managing in the right leagues, I love reading his stuff. Similarly @smp20is someone who's threads I always take an interest in. They are managing in Faroe Islands and Wales respectively, and when each started I felt a huge sense of envy that they were managing there and I was "stuck" in Scandi-Nordic land. Oscar Wilde famously said..... Others less well known have been less polite. With the above advice ringing in my ears, I have been too much of a chicken to risk direct comparison with @Makoto Nakamurabut have foolishly decided that comparisons with @smp20should be risked. I am playing in Wales. More than that I am going on holiday for a year and taking over a newly promoted club in either the JD Cymru North, or the JD Cymru South. (Yes, that's exactly what @smp20did in his Monmouth save, but what have we just said about imitation again? (I should point out that Monmouth were again one of the promoted sides, but even I couldn't go that far).

Welcome to Wales the land with a distinct shortage of vowels. Why am I managing in Wales? Well, @Jimbokav1971 is currently managing Ton Petre and having a great time and I've recently looked back at a couple of threads from yesteryear which made me really want to have a long term save in Wales. First @DSYoungEsq's FM11 save with Prestatyn Town "Cymru fo am byth!" and then @dafuge's monster FM14 save "Clwb Pêl Droed Caersws." And after re-going through those I decided I wanted to have a long term save in Wales, using @Rainbowz newly updated Wales to level 7 file and starting out in the 7th tier I'll try and take a club from the bottom division to become Champions League champions, no restrictions, no challenges other than letting staff make the signings as per usual. Here's a list of other editor data files that I shall be using: The top half can be found in the Editors Hideaway and have been put together by @majesticeternity and @Daveincid (as well as the Wales Level 7) and the others...can't be found in Editors Hideaway. To help with game speed there will be no leagues loaded as view-only and it's just Wales loaded as the only playable league with a medium database and players from clubs in continental competition in Europe to give us a player count of 37,000. I'm not Makoto Nakamura this time, I'm Llywelyn ap Gruffydd and I was born in a place where vowels are redundant, the village of Rhydymwyn. I've chosen the club in the 7th tier that I thought sounded the most Welsh. Key Players: So the board want us to win our league cup as well as the league. A blank canvas.

Greetings to you all! Having clocked up over 1,100 hours on FM this year, I feel the time is right to both try something a little different (for me) and to document it on here. I will be managing Camrose AFC in the Welsh seventh tier and I will only be using youth players produced by the club. I am using the database created by @RainbowzSo here we go. Gone are the days of endless stats that I used to produce, but it will still be a comprehensive thread. I will NOT be starting with full squads. In fact, I will be starting with only grey players. A Monmouth Task A new career update for me and my first in several months. This time I'm going for a youth only challenge with newly promoted to the Welsh second tier Monmouth Town F.C. It's not much of a starting point - the mammoth task of toppling TNS, let alone European domination, seems a long way out of reach. Here's my band of merry men who will be key, in the short-term at least:
